Shark Attack Loves... // Céline Color Block Coat

CélineColorBlockCoat © Tumblr

I'm usually one to avoid winter clothes as long as possible and I'm rarely starstruck by a winter garment. But when I saw this stunning coat by Céline all over F/W '13 Fashion Weeks, I had a hard time (color) blocking it from my mind. I managed to succeed eventually, until I was clicking around on Tumblr just recently. Winter has started, which means that everyone on Tumblr is sharing their winter inspiration at high speed. So there it was again, haunting my dreams night after night.

If I've done my research correctly, this coat is from the F/W '12 collection; which means that it will probably be a mission impossible to still get my hands on one. I already checked Ebay and the only one that was available is already sold.

What do you think about this coat? Thumbs up or maybe too much?
If you know any other options (lookalikes, no copies) regarding this coat, please let me know!

Outfit // Denim State Of Mind

DSC05280
I found this denim shirt hidden in the back of my closet and the first - and only - time I wore it was here... Which reminds me that I also have to wear that McQueen scarf again. Other goodies making a debut on the blog: this gorgeous necklace from the H&M Autumn/Winter 2013 collection and the studded sneakers. I got them the Maje store at Maasmechelen Village with great discount. You gotta love outlet shopping malls! What do you think about this outfit? My dad thinks it's ugly, but then again, who cares?

I'm not really in a talkative mood today. I'm still tired from last night; I went to our local pub to celebrate a friend's new job. If things go well, I might be working again myself soon -- not as a teacher, but as a sales girl. I don't understand how it can be so hard to find a job as a teacher, but it's difficult for me to sit at home and do nothing. And since fashion is my greatest passion in the first place, I'm totally thrilled and excited to work at a clothing store. I'll tell you more about it when it's official!

Enjoy your Sunday, y'all.

Beauty // Riri (Hearts) M.A.C Holiday >> 'Pleasure Bomb'

DSC05213
Remember when I talked to you about the Riri (Hearts) M.A.C Holiday collection here? Thanks to my sweet sister, I had the Pleasure Bomb lipstick waiting for me underneath the Christmas tree. Thanks, Tiffany! Every time Rihanna and M.A.C work together, the collection is sold out in a heartbeat. I don't know how my sister did it to get her hands on this lipstick, but I'm so thrilled!

Outfit // Crazy Cat Lady

DSC05192
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with your family and friends! I did nothing but eat for the past two days, so I took a day off to rest a bit today, héhé. This is what I wear when I'm 'off duty': tanktops, leggings, knitted vests... I'd probably wear a similar outfit to the gym too, if I would actually go for once.

Can you tell how much I love cats, by the way? My own kitty cat has been with us for 13 years now and he's been a bit under the weather lately. He's been diagnosed with diabetes and we're trying to find a solution to give him the necessary insulin shots (without getting our arms and faces scratched open). I can't wait to wear the 'Crazy Cat Lady' tank top with a lace bra underneath during summer. It's by Skip 'n Whistle, a brand from New Orleans that produces eco friendly shirts. And how cool are these leggings? I saw a picture of similar ones on Tumblr a long time ago and I'm glad to finally have them. Plus, they're super warm, perfect for winter.

The book I'm reading is called 'Life After Death' by Damien Echols and I think I've already read it about 4 times. It definitely is one of my favorites. I'm not going to go into detail about it, but you should definitely read it. It will definitely put your life into perspective and show you that you should  cherish the little things in life, how cliché it may sound. Plus, it will make you think twice about complaining about random things.

Plus, I have a nice late Christmas surprise for you:
you get a 10% discount at Born Pretty Store if you enter the code KST10 at the payment section.

Personal // Merry Christmas!

Xmas9© Tumblr

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope everyone will get to spend the holidays with their loved ones. I'm going to keep it short today. This is the first Christmas since my grandfather passed away, so I'm not really in a mood to celebrate. We're still having a family get together at my place tonight, but it won't be the same.

Anyway, my goals for Christmas Eve are to spend some time with my family, eat tons of food, open some presents and to watch 'Home Alone'. It doesn't feel like Christmas if I don't get to watch that movie on Christmas Eve. The same goes for 'Last Christmas' by Wham!; it's the only Christmas song acceptable to me.  I collected some inspiration on Tumblr, this blog needs a cheery touch every now and then. ;)

What are your plans for tonight?

Money VS Budget // Giuseppe Zanotti VS Zara

ZanottiZara
During a shopping spree in Antwerp, I spotted these zipped leather beauties at Zara and immediately linked them to the Giuseppe Zanotti's on the left. Similar, yet different, just the way we like it. My mom would have killed me if I bought another pair of shoes, so I decided not to take them with me. I was proud of myself first but looking back at them now, doubt is starting to set in... No, I have to be strong!

* Get the budget version from Zara here.
* Or go for the real deal at LuisaViaRoma here. Plus, they're on sale! They used to be € 875 and they can be yours for € 612. And there's free shipping. Yay!

New // iPhone 4S Covers By Sh-op.nl

DSC05135
Santa came early again! I received these 3 awesome iPhone 4S covers this morning, thanks to the Dutch / Swiss web shop Sh-op.nl. Ever since Apple launched the iPhone 5 and 5S, I have noticed that stores are stocking less covers for the iPhone 4 / 4S. Panic attack! I don't have the financial means to go for the 5S right now and why should I? My 4S still works perfectly.

I'm so glad that I discovered Sh-op.nl, since they offer hundreds, if not thousands iPhone 4 / 4S, 5 / 5S and Samsung covers and accessories. I spent several hours searching for the perfect covers and when I gave up, I still had not seen them all. There are so many!

What do you think about my choice?
Even though leopard printed clothes are the shizzle right now, I'm still not sure how I feel about wearing them myself. So I decided to go for a touch of leopard with the cover on the left. The middle one reminded me of the Eye Of Horus, which is the ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, royal power and good health. Ancient Egypt is one of my favorite periods throughout history, so it was a natural choice for me. Please don't go Illuminati on me, since I don't really believe any of it. To each his own, of course, just don't bother me with it. The cover on the right has the coolest galactic print, just look at all those colors.

I'm having a hard time deciding which cover I should use first, so please help me! Which one do you like best?

If you're thinking about ordering a nice cover on Sh-op.nl yourself or if you're looking for a last minute gift to give on Christmas Eve, I have a little surprise for you: if you enter the code PROMO2 before paying, you will receive a 2 euro discount

Merry Christmas!

iPhone 4S Covers: Thanks to SH-OP.NL

Fashion News // Kate Moss For Eleven Paris S/S '14

ELEVENPARIS_SS14_KATE_MOSS_001 © Craig McDean for Eleven Paris

Move over, Daisy Lowe. Chosen as the new face for Eleven Paris' S/S '14 campaign, Kate Moss shows fellow modeling pals once again who still owns the #1 spot in the world of British it-girls and supermodels and why. Yes, I'm also talking to you, Delevingne. Queen Moss is looking fierce and is definitely here to stay for a while longer.

First Playboy's 60th anniversary cover and now Eleven Paris' S/S '14 campaign... Kate Moss is still hot and happening, even at the age of 39. The idea behind the campaign is to take us back to the 90s,  mixing grunge and sporty chic all together. Here's what co-founder and joint chief executive of Eleven Paris, Dan Cohen, had to say about their new model / face / muse / insert another synonym here:

"For us, Kate Moss was a natural choice to be the new face of the brand. Her unique style and her own close relationships with the music industry perfectly sum up what we always try to convey through our collections."

A short and clear message, of which I can do nothing else but say: "I agree!" The campaign was shot by Craig McDean - he might not ring a bell immediately, but he worked with Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior, just saying - and the shot above is my absolute favorite. Not only does la Moss look fabulous with simple hair and make up, but that jacket she's wearing... Love at first sight! You all know I love myself some leather and the red and black combo is absolutely divine. That pretty thing is going straight on top of my wish list.

What do you think about Eleven Paris' choice?

Beauty // Nude Glow Collection By Bobbi Brown

© All images: Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

The holidays are coming up and while most beauty brands are launching their limited edition holiday collections for Christmas, Bobbi Brown is already focusing on the new year. Her 2014 motto is: "New Year, New You". With some festive and heavier shades here and there, the Nude Glow Collection is mainly about natural, fresh and bright colors.

Bobbi Brown describes the beauty products from this collection "like pieces of sparkly jewelry that are added to your everyday wardrobe", turning it into the perfect collection for both party and natural, soft, everyday looks.

Don't you think that Katie Holmes looks gorgeous in the picture above? I have a feeling that this collection is perfect for pale skinned girls like myself and I can't wait to have a closer look at it.

The Bobbi Brown 'Nude Glow Collection' is limited edition and will be available in selected Bobbi Brown-stores from January 2014. In Belgium, you can get it at:

Shark Attack Loves... // Pray For Paris

DSC05070
I've been so excited to introduce to you a brand I recently discovered: Pray For Paris
While browsing around on Tumblr, I stumbled upon a picture of one of their shirts and I was immediately hooked. Even though I find religion a load of bull and I'm not religious at all, I do love religious paintings, art and architecture, such as churches, monasteries... It might have to do with my interest in art history and history in general. Pray For Paris' shirts are covered in colorful, bold religious prints and that, in combination with a street style vibe, is a hit for me.

Pray For Paris is a small business and all of their shirts are limited edition, so the chance that you'll bump into someone wearing the same shirt is very small. I love to support small, up and coming brands and this one immediately made it onto my 'Brands I Love'-list. Another plus? The shirts are super afforable. I got one for my best friend too, but he will have to wait until Christmas. No worries, he knows I got it for him, so there's no spoiler alert here. And I'll be able to switch shirts with him from time to time.  ;)

If you want a Pray For Paris-shirt too, I suggest you to place an order right now, since they're going hard. A lot of sizes are sold out already and if everything's sold out, you will have to wait for the next collection (with new prints). I can't wait to see more! Now all I need is nice, warm weather so that I can take decent outfit shots again. It's freezing here in Belgium.

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this brand.
Let me know in the comment box below.

P.S.: The fact that I'm not religious does not mean that I don't respect other people's thoughts on this matter. Everyone is entitled to believe in whatever he or she wants.

P.P.S.: The shirts are unisex and I'm wearing a size M.

Beauty // Riri (Hearts) M.A.C Holiday

MACRiri

New // V Necklace By Lobogato

DSC05024
Santa came early this year and gifted me this gorgeous necklace by Lobogato. Lobogato is a Belgian jewelry brand, founded by Veerle and Katrijn. From all the items they offer, their necklaces are my favorite; they're so feminine and delicate. All of the items are handmade and some of them can even be personalized. You can get a personalized hand stamped necklace here or go for the locket here, which can be pimped with your favorite photo inside. They're the perfect gift to give to one of your loved ones, especially with Christmas around the corner.

Lobogato nailed it by sending me their V-shape necklace, since the V hides so much symbolism (for me). It's best known as a peace sign, even though in Great-Britain (and colonies) it means something like 'f*ck you', depending on which part of your hand you're showing. It's also the Roman five and others also believe it's a symbol designating hatred towards Christians, thanks to Emperor Nero. Others even link it to Satanism and the occult. 'V For Vendetta' is one of my favorite movies and in one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs 'Jeremy', Eddie Vedder sings:

"At home, drawing pictures of mountain tops. With him on top, lemon yellow sun. Arms raised in a V..."

The song is about 15-year-old Jeremy Wade Delle, who shot himself in front of his English class on January 8, 1991.

So you see, it has a lot of meanings to me. I can hear y'all thinking: "How the hell does she know all that?" Well, during my education as a history teacher, we learned a lot about symbols and symbolism. I have always found it quite fascinating and did a lot of research on my own, so there you go.

I would like to thank Veerle and Katrijn from Lobogato for the lovely gift.

Necklace: Thanks to LOBOGATO

Shark Attack Loves... // IvyRevel

IvyRevel
IvyRevel1
Hey Sharks!

Sorry for the absence the past couple of days, but I was busy being a couch potato. The weather is getting gloomier every day now and it kinda affects my mood now and then. Anyone else who has this problem? The only thing I love about the coming months are Christmas and New Year's Eve. I'll be spending Christmas Eve with my family. I'm already preparing myself for tons of food and loud conversations and debates -- especially between my sister and aunt. They 'fight' every year. Reason? My aunt always wants to open the presents right after dinner, while my sister thinks we should wait until midnight. That's what I love the most growing up in an Italian family: fights, yelling and big mouths, but we know it will always be OK in the end.

As for New Year's Eve, I'm still deciding. I'll be celebrating it with my bestie, but we're not sure where we're gonna go. I hate places packed with (drunk) people and ridiculously expensive entrance fees and drinks. We still have some time, though... What are your plans?

I was checking one of my favorite blogs when I spotted the perfect dress for New Year's Eve: sequins, shoulder pads and the perfect emerald green color. The dress is by IvyRevel, the brand of which Kenza Zouiten is the co-founder and creative director. Her blog definitely is one of my favorites! She often wears IvyRevel herself (which I love, since I can see the items in different outfits) and often posts behind-the-scenes-pictures at the office, from photo shoots...

I love the entire collection, but I tried to narrow it down to my top 10 favorite looks. A lot of black and white, clean lines, leather (yay!) and a pop of color here and there... Definitely my cup of tea! Plus, the items are super affordable. I'm thinking about ordering the sequined dress for New Year's Eve, plus some other items. I just have to wait until I get my paycheck. ;)

What do you think about IvyRevel?

Event // Irina Khä & Delvaux

DSC05003
My parents and I took a trip to Liège yesterday. The reason? One of my all time favorite multi brands stores, Irina Khä, invited us to discover their Delvaux-colletion. If you ever happen to be in Liège, I highly suggest you to visit the store. Located in a beautiful and gigantic building, you will find three floors filled with the best designer brands. I'm talking about Balenciaga, Balmain, Chloé, Filles À Papa, Prada, Stella McCartney and many more.

Anyway, back to the main reason of my visit: Irina Khä will also be selling Delvaux from now on. For those who are not familiar with the brand, let me give you a short introduction:

Delvaux was founded by Charles Delvaux in Brussels in 1829, which makes it the world's oldest fine leather luxury goods House. That's quite a handful, but Belgians are very proud when it comes to the brand and they have every right to be. The Belgian royals are spotted with a Delvaux on a regular basis and the same goes for the Dutch royals as well. The brand owns several ateliers in Belgium and France, where each item is made by hand by the best craftsmen. During the event, I had the chance to chat with a couple of people who work for Delvaux and they told me that they're opening several stores all over the world. I can only approve of this, since I get the feeling that Delvaux doesn't always get the credit it deserves.

I absolutely loved the collection at Irina Khä. Even though I always thought that Delvaux was meant for an older and more mature public, taking a close look at the collection proved me wrong completely. You'll see what I mean when you see the pictures.

I would like to thank Irina Khä and Delvaux for having me there and especially Morgane for the warm welcome. It was so nice to meet you!

New // Supertrash 'Armer' Boots

Boots
The search is over! I've been looking for the perfect winter boots for ages and I finally found them at Supertrash yesterday. My parents and I went to Maastricht and I wanted to go for a pair of black Uggs, but thank God that we visited the Supertrash-store first.

To me, the perfect boots that are comfy, warm and will get me through the snow this winter. Uggs are comfy and warm, but they get ruined easily when it's snowing. I prefer to wear them inside or during fall and winter, when temperatures are dropping quickly but it's still snow free. The boots above fulfill all of my wishes. And I love how they embrace my calfs perfectly, another problem when it comes to finding a pair of well fitting boots.

These boots secretly make me feel like Katniss Everdeen. When I tried them on, I could already see myself as a Hunger Games-tribute. All I needed was a bow and arrows. Just kidding, I would probably be dead before I had even set one foot in that arena, but at least I'll survive winter now.

You can get the Supertrash 'Armer' boots HERE

Money VS Budget // Dolce & Gabbana VS H&M

DolceHM
I came across these gorgeous lace ankle boots at the H&M in Dusseldorf two days ago. Getting a Dolce & Gabbana-flashback, I immediately took them home with me. They are very comfortable -- I wore them to my aunt's birthday party yesterday and my feet didn't hurt a bit.

I combined them with a pencil skirt and silk blouse yesterday and I can't wait to see how they look with a pair of skinny jeans or a (lace) dress. It's been a while since I've been this excited about a pair of shoes. The lace pattern make them look like a pair of designer booties, don't you think?

Go for the original Dolce & Gabbana's here or get the budget friendly version by H&M here.

Outfit // The Streets

TheStreets11
Yes, it was freezing when we shot these pictures, but I'm still so not ready to wear turtlenecks and oversized sweaters all the time. Plus, how was I supposed to show you this awesome new shirt I got at the Zara men's department? Anything for the blog!

The bold print caught my eye immediately and made my history loving heart go boom, boom, boom. See that statue in the middle? I've seen hundreds of ancient Greek and Roman statues and sculptures during my history education and I genuinely loved studying it. Except for the Middle Ages, that part of history caused me serious trauma, but I'm going to spare you the details.

As for the shoes, I must admit that I've been a bad blogger and totally forgot about them. But it's not what you think! The PR people at Sacha were so kind to let me pick out a pair of shoes in May, but I had my ankle broken during that time. Then summer came and unless I wanted my feet to melt, wearing these sneakers wasn't an option. But now worries, 'cause they finally get the attention they deserve. They fit perfectly into this outfit, don't they?

What do you think about the graffiti in the background? Isn't it amazing? Some talented kids in my hometown decided to turn a couple of garages into a piece of art. They even included Michael Jackson! #Hero It's sad that graffiti gets frowned upon 99 % of the time, 'cause you can see how beautiful it can be if it's done with the right intensions. I don't approve of vandalism, just to make myself clear.

Collection // H&M Spring 2014

DSC04879
Yesterday, I hopped on the train to Brussels for a preview of the H&M Spring 2014-collection. It's a new capsule collection, just like the Autumn-collection that was shown to public during the highly anticipated fashion show in Paris.

Pastel colors, maxi dresses, thigh high boots, embroidered jackets, ruffled blouses, a touch of bling here and there... The collection has urban and bohemian chic written all over it. As for the materials, the designers decided to place their bets on various options such as suède, leather, denim and lace. Part of the collection is inspired by fortune tellers (yay!), which definitely shows in the prints and accessories: moons, stars and mystic patterns. When I was younger, I was obsessed by fortune telling and everything that had to do with it. I even bought myself tarot cards. I guess it's needless to say that it didn't turn into something successful. Conclusion? The Spring 2014-collection is very wearable but contains some eye catchers as well.

It took me forever to prepare this post. I had the hardest time narrowing it down to only showing you my absolute favorites from the collection. You can find them after the jump.

The H&M Spring 2014-collection will hit selected stores on 6 March 2013.

I would also like to thank Matthieu and Lison for the invite and the warm welcome!

Trend // Adidas 'Adilettes' Slippers

Sporty1
I've been keeping an eye on this upcoming trend for a while now and when I saw Mary-Kate Olsen leaving a restaurant above, it was official: the 'Adilettes' by Adidas are back. They were originally created as comfy footwear for athletes, were part of tons of street looks in the 90s and were banned into the deepest pits of fashion hell afterwards. The only thing still kind of acceptable was to wear them around the pool, coming out of the shower and... in my home town, combined with white socks and all. And guess what? It looks like the people in my teeny tiny home town were far ahead of the trend for once.

It might be surprising to see the Adilettes all over town again, but is it really? Remember when most of us were hating on wearing Birkenstocks in public and how they suddenly became THE it-item after Céline pimped and furred them a bit (I still don't like them, though)? Hypes really do find their way  sooner or later and even if others like to claim otherwise, I really believe that there aren't rules in fashion -- just wear what you like, that's my motto.

The Adilettes have been spotted on celebrities, bloggers and are even featured in editorials recently. I collected a couple of images after the jump. My opinion? I never thought I'd say this, but I love how some of the girls combined them. They really pull them off. Reflecting on my personal style, I'm afraid they're just not me. Plus, wearing them where I live, I'd probably be far behind on anyone else; they're a trend among the boys, I'm telling ya.

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this one.
Cool? Or just not done?

New // Yeezy 77 By Les (Art)ists

LesArtistesYeezy77
It's been freezing outside for the past couple of days, so shooting my new T-shirt outside wasn't really an option. This picture will have to do for now -- forgive me!

I got this shirt at Stylesuite in Maastricht (a shop you absolutely must visit whenever you're around) and it's by Les (Art)ists. The brand was founded by a couple of friends in Paris in 2012 and has been busy conquering the world ever since. Inspired by American football jerseys, they decided to take the design and change the names on the back in to those of the world's top artists in the fashion, art and music business, while the numbers refer to the artist's birth year. Andy Warhol, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams, Alexander Wang... They're all in the Les (Art)ists' club!

At first, I was in doubt between the (Raf) Simons and (Martin) Margiela shirts -- first class fashion blogger's problems. I then spotted this Yeezy version; Yeezy a.k.a. Kanye West's nickname. Even though I usually listen to rock music, I can most definitely appreciate Kanye's music. By the way, going for a fashion designer as a fashion blogger might be a tad too obvious, so enter Yeezy and exit Simons and Margiela. No hard feelings, I still love you.

Outfit // Tomboy

FillesAPapaTomboy3
Most of you will probably be tired of seeing this sweater everywhere, but I'm just so happy that I finally managed to get my hands on it. After being worn by Rita Ora and Jourdan Dunn and named as one of Filles À Papa's it-items, the Tomboy sweaters and T-shirts became a highly coveted item in no time. Every time I found out they were back in stock, everyone else had already beat me to the punch. Highly frustrating, I must say... Two days ago, I saw a message pop up on the Facebook-page of Looks And Labels, saying that they had a limited amount of these sweaters in stock again. I immediately begged them to keep one for me, called my dad and dragged him to the Jeurrisen-store in Hasselt. Looks And Labels is the web shop of the Jeurissen-store, just so y'all know.

I usually hate winter clothes, but this sweater definitely passed the test -- so be prepared to see it glued to my body for the coming weeks / months. What do you think about it? I usually try to distance myself from blogger trends - no tartan prints or fluffy pink coats for me - but I don't see any harm in buying something you genuinely like, even if it was a trend among the bloggers.

And, as promised... A different background! My best friend Dario and I were brainstorming on a location to shoot this outfit and decided to go to the woods. This place is only a 3 minute drive from my house and used to be a railway station. Since it's getting dark so early and fast these days, we had some trouble finding the right light, which affected the quality of these shots. I'm kinda bummed, since I really liked the setting. Oh well, there's always next time!

Beauty // Dolce & Gabbana 'Sicilian Jewels' Collection, Part II

DSC04524
Remember when I was freaking out about the Dolce & Gabbana 'Sicilian Jewels' collection here? And how I said I would try to do anything to get my hands on my favorite items? After calling stores in Belgium and the Netherlands without any luck, my friend Karen told me that the collection was available online at Harrods. Needless to day that we immediately placed an order, even if I rarely buy something online.

I decided to go for the red and purple lipstick, called 'Rubino' and 'Ametista'. Red because I'm addicted to any type of red lipstick (you can never go wrong with red, never ever) and purple because it's one of my favorite colors in general. Simple as that.

I tried both of them today and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on them, especially on the purple one.

New // Givenchy Rottweiler Clutch

DSC04517
Who let the dog out?
Meet my newest pet, a late birthday gift from my sister and brother-in-law. When the super famous Rottweiler shirts by Givenchy hit the stores, I immediately started the hunt, but I never managed to get my hands on them.

So you can only imagine when I opened my present and found the clutch inside. I had no idea that they were still around. My sister found it at the Smets Premium Store in Brussels, definitely on top of my 'must visit' list whenever I'm around -- I highly suggest you to do the same. They sell all of my favorite brands, such as Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Chloé, Proenza Schouler, Saint Laurent and Tom Ford, just to name a few.

I'm so in love with this clutch; I think it adds the right amount of edge to every outfit. Example: Amanda Seyfried was spotted multiple times carrying it around on the red carpet (!), to events and in her spare time. Plus, my parents never wanted me to have a dog, and now I can carry one around with me all the time. #Wink

Shark Attack Loves... // Chloé Tulle Skirt

Chloé
After drooling over the Balmain F/W '13-collection here, I've fallen for another skirt-over-pants look again. I was picking up my daily inspiration on Tumblr, when I came across this image. Love at first sight! The asymmetrical cut, the dotted tulle and lace... Thumbs up! The lady above couldn't wear it in a more perfect way - in my opinion, of course. She's totally nailing it with a pair of skinny jeans peeking out underneath and an emerald green shirt -- gem colors will be another big hit for this fall and winter.

What do you think about it? Are we looking at a new, up and coming trend?

The skirt above is part from the Chloé F/W '13-collection and is, again, way out of my budget. You can shop it below and I also tried to find some more affordable options.

Feature // Shark Attack & Sugarhill Boutique

SHB1
It's past midnight right now and I just found out that I'm featured on one of my favorite brand's website: Sugarhill Boutique. Needless to say that I'm too excited to go to bed right now. My friends Bart and Michel texted me to say that my blog was featured on the website, but I never expected to see my outfit shots pop up between the brand's official look book pictures. To see Shark Attack and other bloggers wearing their items, click here for the 'Blogger Favourites'-section. If you browse over the item, you'll see a blogger wear the item and if you click on it, you'll see the pictures in full size just like you can see above.

I'm still extremely honored every time Shark Attack gets acknowledged. The blog's like my baby now, I guess! Knowing that I started from scratch and seeing what it has become now makes me very proud. Gosh, I sound so corny right now. Anyway, since there's nothing I can do about it at the moment, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read Shark Attack and to leave a comment. I read and appreciate every single one of them. #HugsAndKisses

P.S.: You can find the 1st look here and the 2nd look here.

Personal // Birthday Wish List

As some of you may know, I'm turning 24 on 5 November. Since this rainy and windy weather has got me stuck inside the house, I thought it would be fun to put together a birthday wish list. Some of the items are adapted to my budget and might end up in my closet soon, while others are... less likely to end up in there, lol. But hey,  a girl can dream, right? Are there any items that you are saving up for or that are on the top of your wish list?

Beauty // Dolce & Gabbana 'Sicilian Jewels' Collection, Part I

DGLipstick
Holy Mother and Joseph! I ain't turning into a religious soul now, but that was exactly what I was thinking when I saw the Dolce & Gabbana 'Sicilian Jewels' collection. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are taking the terms 'lipstick' and 'shades' to a whole new level. Aren't these colors to die for? And, before I forget... They're limited edition, which makes me even more anxious (because I need them, all of them).

The 'Sicilian Jewels' collection exists out of four colors, inspired by the luxurious gemstones amethyst (purple), ruby (red), emerald (green) and topaz (yellow). The designers got inspired by the jewels of their native Sicily and have been working with these materials on a steady basis. We all still remember that outrageous F/W '13 RTW runway collection, don't we? I know that these colors might be too much for most people - except for the ruby one, maybe - but how cool would it be to wear them during a Christmas dinner or New Year's Eve party? I'm thinking: an all black outfit and the hair pulled back into a tight pony tail. Make those lips pop, baby! You could even add a touch of eyeliner for an extra dramatic look.

What do you think? Amazeballs or even too much for a crazy, YOLO night out?

The Dolce & Gabbana 'Sicilian Jewels' collection is limited edition and will be available from 1st November.

Outfit // Seeing Red

DSC04374
Finally, I managed to post this outfit! It was supposed to be online by noon, but the quality of my pictures were reduced to pure crap (pardon the language) while uploading them in Photobucket and Blogger. I've been noticing it for a while now - just check my previous posts - but it was really bad this time. Luckily, my fellow bloggers gave me tons of tips and advice, giving me the chance to fix the problem. Thanks, babies! Can you see the difference?

All of these problems and frustrations made me see red; to those who didn't study English in college: it means 'being angry'. We had to study tons of these expressions by heart and it looks like I did a nice job, since I still remember (most of) them. I thought it was the perfect blogpost title and it also matches my new jacket I received from Me Paris. It's a French brand and all the clothes are made in France. Even though most of the clothes aren't my style, this jacket totally is. I love the red and black pattern! The colors are perfect for fall and the pattern is a nice change from all the tartan prints popping up EVERYWHERE. Like seriously, I can't handle tartan anymore...

Shark Attack Loves... // Valentino Combat Boots

 photo ValentinoCombatBoots_zps8588fe41.jpg
Help me, I've got a new crush! I was surfing the net, checking up on my favorite blogs, when I stumbled across these babies. Aren't they the most perfect combat boots ever? I love how Valentino has found the perfect balance between edgy and feminine; check out those flower details. Italians sure know how to treat the ladies right.

Whenever I see a certain item, images of how I can combine it start flashing before my eyes -- no joke. With these boots, I could already see myself wearing them with skinny jeans and leather trousers during winter and with shorts and dresses during summer. Sounds like a great investment, right? Right?

I immediately started checking the online shops and found them at LuisaViaRoma. If they're Valentino, you just know that they come with a certain price tag. However, I never expected them to be a whopping € 1150. Talk about bursting someone's bubble big time! It will take me forever to get that cash together, they'll probably be out of stock by then.

However, my 24th birthday is coming up - on 5 November to be correct - so it's time to put my wish list together and tuck it into my dad's coat pocket without being seen. I mean... I'm turning 24! I have a phobia of growing older; I'm not kidding, I could burst into tears just thinking about it. That being said, I need to be comforted big time and these boots are perfect for that.

You can find the boots on LuisaViaRoma here.

Outfit // Shirt Dress

 photo 48a2946f-043e-4309-bca0-61c69802e252_zps663a9d4d.jpg
Even though it was freezing, raining, terribly windy and we shot these pictures in about 5 minutes, I just had to show you my newest purchase! You all know my love for the Belgian label Filles À Papa by now, so when I found this FAP shirt dress at 60 % off, there was no doubt I had to take it home with me. You gotta love stock sales!

I probably got pneumonia for shooting these pictures, but I was too excited about this purchase. Why? It's sporty and a bit boyish, but still elegant and easy to combine. Score! Another way of wearing it? I'm thinking about black skinny jeans, a tank top and this shirt over it (unbuttoned).

While we were shooting these pictures, my neighbor pulled up the driveway and yelled: "I love your pictures, but you have got to change the background!" I hear you, woman! I'm definitely going to work on that, I promise.

Outfit // Who Dares Wins

 photo DSC04087_zps7ac30a5d.jpg
Who dares wins... Even though it might sound as the biggest cliché ever know to man, we can't deny the fact that it's actually true. Accepting a challenge, you might not always get the result you hoped for, but the experience you'll get out of it will make you a winner one way or another. So get out there, do what you think is best, try out new and different things. Live.

I love the combination of the chic skirt and casual shirt -- that rhymes, by the way. I also decided to wear my Acne Pistol boots again, to add an edgy touch to the look (and because my ankle is giving me a hard time again, no high heels for now). I got the shirt at Jeurissen in Hasselt; I always pay them a visit when I'm in the neighborhood. You can find the best brands there, such as Carven, MSGM, Markus Lupfer, Alexander Wang, Filles À Papa... Definitely a hotspot to visit if you happen to be in Hasselt.

Video // Isabel Marant Pour H&M Launch Party

Last night, one of the most anticipated events took place in Paris: the launch party of the Isabel Marant pour H&M-collection. The event was attended by tons of celebrities, it-girls, bloggers, models, press and journalists such as Alice Dellal (love her!), Freida Pinto, Audrey Tautou, Alek Wek and Betty Autier (best known as the blogger behind Le Blog De Betty).

Looking at the venue and decor, Isabel Marant wanted to take us back in time, to a Paris in the early 90s -- that's when she debuted her clothing line, quickly settling into the fashion bizz. Pubs, souvenir shops, supermarkets... It might sound strange, but they were all part of the decor. Here's what Isabel Marant herself had to say about it:

"We wanted to present the collection in a casual, relaxed setting, not as an extravagant red carpet show. Because that's how I look at my work: I design for everybody and am inspired by the world around me. That's why it was the obvious choice to choose for a city as the background. And it had to be Paris, because this city is in my DNA."

I guess she's still Isabel from the block. I love the idea behind the whole launch and how, despite her enormous success, still seems to be very down to earth. Anyway, the collection was presented by a group models dancing through the event and by all the celebs attending, of course.

On my wish list? The embellished jacket (worn by Freida Pinto in the video), the oversized coat (worn by Audrey Tautou) and the leather trousers. I hope that I don't have to work when the collection will hit the stores -- a problem that I had to deal with every time a collaboration hit the H&M-stores. Fingers crossed!

What about you, guys? Will you be waiting in line? And what are your favorite pieces?

The collection will hit 250 selected H&M-stores around the world on 14 November.

Outfit // Slip On

 photo DSC03882_zps1005ffda.jpg
Forget what I said in my previous outfit post: we're not experiencing an Indian summer. An Indian day might have been more appropriate, but who cares, since the sun and warmth have disappeared. When I looked out my window this morning, I could already feel the gloominess creeping over me (we're close to Halloween, hence the horror movie kinda talk). This kind of weather is synonym to comfy outfits -- for me. Even though this outfit is very comfy, I kinda like these shots, especially the close up ones. I really have an issue when it comes to selecting pictures for my blog and trying not to overdo it.

I decided to give these Givenchy slip ons another try. Don't let the comfy look fool you: these hurt like hell. While wearing them, you're heels are about to be brutalized and cut open. Anyway, they're too pretty to be ignored and I payed quite some cash for them, so I decided to put some patches in them (especially around the heels) and they're much more comfortable now. I kept the rest of my outfit simple, so that these babies will get the attention they deserve.

As for the hair: I decided to put some mousse in it and to curl the ends a bit. I'm no hair specialist at all, but I thought the result was kinda okay to shoot. And as for the jeans: I stocked up on these, so be prepared to see them glued on my legs permanently. They're perfect.

Money VS Budget // Valentino VS Michael Kors

 photo CollageValentinoMK_zps7ca98ea4.jpg
The idea for this Money VS Budget-post came to mind when I was carrying around my Valentino 'Rockstud Trapeze' bag (the one pictured above) and I saw someone wearing the Michael Kors 'Selma Studs Saffiano' bag (also pictured above). The Valentino was gifted to me by the ever so sweet people at Verso, but I can imagine that a whopping € 1390 isn't the obvious option for everyone. I think the Michael Kors one is a perfect replacement.

What do you think?

Outfit // Magic

 photo DSC03857_zpsf8fbfcd6.jpg
We've been experiencing and Indian summer here in Belgium -- 22°C, yay! I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to wear this adorable blouse for the first time. I love how the bunny-in-the-hat-print screams 'cute' and the transparency adds some 'sexy'. Plus, the back adds another unexpected twist. Even though the Converse sneakers aren't the exact same color as the blouse, I think they still go well together. What about you, guys?

The jeans are my new love. My body shape makes it incredibly hard to find well fitting trousers. So when I found these super skinny jeans at H&M, I was over the moon. I think about buying some more of these, just in case H&M decides to take them out of the stores.

And last but not least: I'm so sorry for the never changing background. I'm relying on my mom as my photographer and as a working woman, she doesn't always have the time to go to a nice location to shoot. Nope, I'm not one of those bloggers with an awesome photographer boyfriend, but I think my mom does her job equally well.

You can find the blouse here and the dress version on the Belgian web shop Munt Fashion here

Black and gold, my favorite combo. I stumbled upon this blouse during a shopping spree in Antwerp; I love how it's clean and simple, but with that extra touch. As for the wedges: they were hidden in the back of my closet for too long. They still make my heart beat a tad faster every time I take them out again.

I don't have much to say today. I've been the laziest couch potato for the past 3 days, catching up on Pretty Little Liars' most recent season to refresh my memory. The new episode is coming up and I'm so freaking excited! Who's with me?

 photo DSC03637_zps0cd48f61.jpg
Please welcome the newest pair of shoes in my closet: Converse All Stars in 'Ox Maroon'. I can already hear you think: "*Yawn* All Stars, big deal." Anyway, when I was allowed to choose a pair of sneakers on Size.co.uk, I didn't hesitate for a second and immediately clicked these babies home. Kudos for the website's customer service: after a mix up with the size - I accidentally received a pair sized too big - I immediately got sent a new, right sized pair just a few days after. No hard questions, suspicious behavior or extra fees: I emailed my problem and it was solved, simple as that. I rarely order online myself, since I'm always too scared of my order going missing or ordering something that doesn't fit, but I must admit that the awesome service took some of my doubts away. Beauty // M.A.C. 'All Fired Up' + Personal Lipstick Routine

 photo IMG_3566_zps6245a95b.jpg
Like I say at the beginning of every (rarely occurring) beauty post: I'm not a beauty blogger. As much as I would love to focus on beauty more often, I just don't know which blush has a perfect pigmentation or which lipstick has a blue undertone.

Anyway, what I do know is that I can't live without lipstick and that I'm rarely seen without. When I was still in high school and college - the good times - I used to wear bright red lipstick to my waitering job. Apparently, it was a big shocker since all of my colleagues would say something about it, but for me, it was (and still is) an essential. After reading that waitresses wearing red lipstick were more likely to get a tip, I was even more convinced of my choice. ;)

I recently decided to try out some other colors than the usual red and meet my favorite non-red lipstick: All Fired Up by M.A.C., which is part of the 'Retro Matte'-collection. It has a darker pink / raspberry kinda color with a - surprise! - matte finishing touch. I prefer matte lipsticks over shiny ones but it can be tricky to apply without a decent preparation. It sounds as if you need to go through a 20 steps routine - which is not true - but believe me: it's not about only applying the lipstick.

My lipstick usually stays on for hours straight, a thing that has caused quite some admiration among the colleagues I was telling you about before. I get asked about 'my secret' all the time and I thought, why not share it with you? Can I inform you that my lipstick routine isn't a big deal and that I don't really do anything that wasn't known before? Just trying to avoid disappointment here...

P.S.: The earrings are from River Island and reminded me of the Dolce & Gabbana A/W '13-collection: over the top, in your face, totally kitsch and loving it!

So, to find out my how-to-apply-lipstick-routine, just click below. *drumroll*

Outfit // Oh Crêpe!

 photo DSC03513_zps2ef488fc.jpg
October's first outfit post is finally up! I love October and can't wait for Halloween to arrive. I think that I'll dress up as Eric Draven a.k.a. The Crow this year. Leather pants? Check! White shirt? Check! All I need is black lipstick and I'm all set. Who / What will you be this year?

I found this T-shirt at H&M and I had to explain the 'Oh crêpe / Oh crap'-meaning far too many times. Is the hidden joke so hard to understand? Anyway, new items are meant to be worn, so here you go. It seems as if the shoes have shrunk two sizes -- pain! And the cap is the perfect accessory for that extra touch; and to cover up a bad hair day. At first I thought it would be too much with a slogan on the shirt ànd on the cap, but I'm really digging the result. Casual chic, loving it!

New // FAP & Mango

 photo DSC03464_zps2c0e01b2.jpg
Hey guys,

yes, I'm still alive. I came down with a major cold and decided to take a time out to recharge my batteries again. Having a cold didn't stop me to do some shopping, though. ;)

The cap is by Filles À Papa (FAP for short), one of Belgium's fast up and coming labels and one of my favorites; originality, leather, sequins and a touch of rock 'n roll... Just the way I like it. My dad got it for me, I guess he was trying to make a statement with the Yes Sir-slogan, lol.

The shoes were a great find. I got them at a Mango Outlet-store for only 10 euros. #Score I'm usually not a fan of white shoes, but these remind me of the ones my mom wore on her wedding day -- I'm kinda corny and cliché from time to time. Since I rarely wear white, I'm curious and excited to see what combos I'll come up with to make these babies shine. Let's hope I'll pass the test.

I already posted some pictures of me wearing my new items on Instagram -- My username is Krizia_S.
For those who haven't seen them yet, just click below!

P.S.: Have I told you that I'll be going on a trip to Paris with my best friends in two weeks? I'm sooo excited. Paris has a special place in my heart, I've fallen hard for the city. Let's hope I'll be able to shoot some Parisian outfit pictures.

Outfit // Take Two

 photo DSC03444_zpsf7f9e572.jpg
Take one: wearing this shirt with no belt, with a pair of black skinny jeans and my grey Isabel Marant sneakers.
Take two: enter belt and boot, exit Isabel Marant sneakers (I still love you, babies).

That moment when you're wearing an outfit you think looks fabulous on you, decide to shoot it, look at the pictures and think: "Dude, WTF happened?" That's exactly what happened when I was wearing the first outfit. Such a bummer though, because I shot that particular outfit during a shopping trip to Maastricht, meaning that I finally switched locations and therefore had a different, non-bricked background for a change. #FirstClassProblems

As for the hair... I wanted to go back to blonde and I don't know what the hell that hairdresser was sniffing on, but it turned out this ginger / copper / I don't know-kinda color. Not exactly what I signed up for, but hey, it's just hair. Cut it off, it'll grow back. Dye it and don't like it, just dye it again.

And as for the lipstick: probably my new favorite. It's called 'Flat Out Fabulous' and it's by MAC. Plus, it's not red! *Shocker* But it's a nice change and it's matte -- I love matte lipstick.

I was figuring out what to wear this morning, when I stumbled upon these two items that were given to me by the ever so sweet people at Sugarhill Boutique. Bambi prints! It's not the first time we've seen them pop up on clothes before, which is how the idea for this post came to mind.

Shark Attack Loves... // Balmain F/W '13

 photo BalmainCollage_zps4cc33c16.jpg
I'm probably way too late with this, but I still wanted to share what I hope will become at trend for this fall and winter. I've had a gazillion things to do lately and it was only until yesterday that I had the chance to have a look at the F/W '13-collections.

I'm not a big fan of winter clothes, to be honest. They make me feel trapped and claustrophobic. Turtlenecks are one of those items that send chills down my spine. They literally make me feel as if I can't breathe and I think I only own two of them, both purchased by my mom. Too bad for me, but it seems that turtlenecks are going to be one of the must have items again for fall and winter...

While browsing to the collections, the Balmain one immediately caught my eye. I'd already seen a flash of it on Sofie's website, but I could finally have a closer look at it. While clicking trough the images, I immediately knew: TURTLENECKS. Oh, the horror. Until I clicked a bit further and I bumped into the leather turtleneck pictured above. You know me, give me some leather and I'm a happy girl. Leather turtlenecks... I must admit that they definitely triggered something inside me. I'll keep an eye open for them and who knows: the leather version might change my opinion.

The leather turtlenecks are nice, but I just love love loveee the draped skirts and the fact that they're worn over black pants. They're going straight on top of my wish list. I can already see myself wearing them with a pair of black skinny trousers and leather boots, preferably over the knee or high waisted. The fact that they're gem colored, such as ruby, amethyst and emerald, makes it even better.

Thoughts?

I'm so excited that I can finally show you this adorable dress by Sugarhill Boutique! It's my favorite piece from the F/W '13-collection. The print contains all of my favorite must-sees over the world. I've already had the opportunity to see the Eiffel Tower and the Statue Of Liberty myself, so up next are the pyramids in Egypt or the Taj Mahal in India. Not on my dress, but still on my list: the Great Wall of China.

Sugarhill Boutique has captured my heart since the first time I got to know the British brand. I still have other items to show you and I can't wait to hear your opinion about them. If you want to discover the brand yourself, you can visit their website. Bonus: all of the items are super affordable.

Luckily, there are a couple of selling points in Belgium too. You can find Sugarhill Boutique at  Vegas (Antwerp) and at Hippy Chic (Leuven). #Happy

By the way: I absolutely love the lighting in some of these pictures. Doesn't the light mark remind you of the pictures in The Omen? One of the best movies ever, just saying!
Last thing to add... Knees are the ugliest body part ever.
