Fashion // New Zara Shoes, My Favorite Trend & Current Wish List

ZaraShoes
Hi guys, I just wanted to give you a short update on my two latest additions to my closet and my favorite trend for spring and summer. During a shopping spree at Zara, I came home with two new pair of shoes. #SorryNotSorry Can I also give a shoutout to the best boyfriend in the world -- which is mine -- for letting me shop without pointing out the amount of shoes that are already in my closet? I love you, babe.

After taking this picture, I realized that there was a third pair that I got at Zara (again, #SorryNotSorry) and I forgot to photograph; you can see and shop them here. I've been wearing espadrilles for as long as I can remember and apart of the fact that they are super comfy, I also love that are made out of leather. It gives them that extra edgy vibe. If you're a longtime follower of the blog, you know I love myself some leather goodies.

The flower printed ankle booties were on my wish list for quite a while, but they seemed to be missing from every Zara store I visited. I even ordered my aunt and boyfriend to look for them in the Netherlands, without any result. Didn't I tell you that I have the best boyfriend in the world? Anyway, I had already given up on them when I entered the Zara-store in Düsseldorf and they were the first thing I saw. I already wore them with an all black outfit, but I can't wait to combine them with a casual white shirt and a pair of black skinny jeans.

As for the tropical printed babouche slippers on the right: they're the ultimate love or hate thing. If I had a say in it, I would choose them as my favorite trend for this spring and summer. They're casual but edgy and the options on how to wear them are endless. Plus, don't we all love a romantic, Arab, Aladdin vibe? I spotted this pair and tried them on at the Zara in Maastricht, but didn't get them because my sister kept telling me how much she hated them. When I was laying in bed, all I could think was: since when do I listen to other people's opinion? It literally felt as if I neglected my morals and values. *Insert dramatic tune here* So the next day, I asked my boyfriend to take me to Maastricht again (best boyfriend) and the shoes and I lived happily ever after.

WISH LIST:

I also spotted another pair of babouche slippers, this time by Jeffrey Campbell, but they are sold out everywhere! #Cries They're called the Sarika-Emb flats and they're so Dolce & Gabbana. Most people will think they're too much, but I think they're the coolest. I already subscribed myself to receive an email when they're going to be restocked, so fingers crossed! What are your thoughts on them?

New // Chanel WOC

ChanelWOC
First of all: Happy New Year! I'm having such a hard time to find the right balance between the blog, my full time job, my boyfriend, my social life and maintaining my household. How do you, other bloggers, do it? If you have some pointers, do share them in the comment box below. On another note: not too long ago, I turned 27 aka time to spoil myself...

Owning a house and moving in together definitely changes your budget and spending habits -- talk about an adjustment. Groceries have to be done, bills have to be paid: farewell buying-everything-you-want-life. However, I still am who I am and I still am a lady that loves herself some pretty things. So when I turned 27, I found it the perfect excuse for a gift from me to me; something that was on my wish list for quite some time now. I still get to treat myself at least once a year, right?

So, here she is, my newest addition to the Chanel family: the Chanel Wallet On A Chain (or WOC, for short) in black caviar leather and with silver hardware. I picked her up during a shopping spree in Düsseldorf. My parents and I spent about an hour and a half in the Chanel store, because I couldn't make up my mind. The saleswoman took out every single WOC they had in store and I was stuck between the WOC above and a red one in the soft lambskin leather and with golden hardware.

I always said that, if I'd ever get a WOC, it would be in a bright and popping color. The red one was amazing, but I was a afraid that my dark clothing would leave marks on the lambskin leather -- I am a fan of black clothes, after all. There's no need to lie about it: I also own the Chanel Classic Flap Bag in lambskin leather and it's just more delicate and harder to maintain. The saleswoman was honest enough to admit that there would be a chance that my dark clothes would leave stains and that it's not covered by the warranty.

So, after debating for over an hour, my black loving heart made the decision and I took this beauty home with me. I usually carry big bags with me, so the WOC took some getting used to. It narrowly fits my creditcards, ID card, iPhone, a lipstick, a tiny mirror and some cash -- just necessities, really. The caviar leather is more sustainable and hardly shows any marks of usage. It's the perfect bag for a day of shopping or for a date night.

What do you think about her?

P.S. I'd also like to thank my mom, dad and the Chanel saleswoman for their patience on that particular day.

New // Fendi Bag Bug

FendiBagBug3
First of all: merry Christmas! I wish you all the best in the world and hope that all of your wishes come true. And I hope that you got to spend the holidays with all of your loved ones. Lots of hugs and kisses for all of you!

Meet Marshmellow, my new best friend. I got to know him at the Fendi store in Rome, but we didn't  get to hang out until Christmas. I was eyeing these bag bugs for a while now and got to choose one as a Christmas present. They are one of those love or hate items, I know. Anyway, Marshmellow and I are besties already and he and my Boy are inseparable as well.

New // Céline 'New Audrey' Sunglasses

CélineNewAudrey2
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I added another pair of sunglasses to my  collection. I was eyeing a pair of Céline sunnies for quite some time now and when I went on a citytrip to Rome with my family over the weekend and spotted this pair of gorgeous sunnies at the Céline store, I was sold in a heartbeat. However, adding another pair of big, black sunglasses to my already bulging collection was something I had to think about first.

My rule: if I still love them on the last day of my citytrip and they're still available (they were the last pair of this model), I'm going to get them. So, I returned to the store during my last day, asked for them, was told that they were still in store and decided to get them. In the end, they are a classic pair of sunglasses that will last a lifetime. Or that's what I tell myself, hehe.

These are the Céline 'New Audrey' Sunglasses and I'm guessing they are a renewed take on the original, highly coveted Céline 'Audrey' sunnies, even though I'm not 100 % sure. Anyway, purchasing something that has been inspired by Audrey Hepburn is always a great purchase in my book. All I have to do now is wait for that winter sun to shine.

Thoughts?

New // Chanel Ankle Boots

ChanelMetiersDartSalzburg5
A gift from to me for my 26th birthday. I fell in love with these Chanel boots ever since I saw them in the Chanel Métiers d'Art fashion show in Salzburg and posted the pink version on my Instagram account. After visiting every Chanel store possible without any luck, I kinda had given up on them; and then I visited the Chanel store in Brussels.

I asked about the boots and it turns out that they had one pair left, in my size. Coincidence? I think not! They might not be the pink ones that I initially wanted, but I think that these grey ones will give me the opportunity to wear them way more often. Even though I realize that the shoes might not be everyone's cup of tea, I love that they are classic and bold at the same time -- the golden, quilted heels are everything! I think that the model and color are timeless, something I always think about whenever I'm about to do a big purchase.

Plus, I'd like to thank Chanel Brussels for the excellent service.

New // Balmain x H&M Emerald Green Dress

HMBalmain
HMBalmain1
If you follow me on Snapchat (username: Krizia_S), you know that I was invited to the presale of the Balmain x H&M collection. Ever since the collection hit the Internet, I knew that the emerald green dress would have the top spot on my wish list and I luckily managed to get my hands on it. The cleavage might be too much for others, but I absolutely love it!

These pictures were taken during a quick morning photo shoot, after showing my haul to my mom and sister. After receiving nothing but positive comments, I couldn't wait to share them with you either. Other, better outfit pictures will be online ASAP! I also got some other goodies from the collection, which you can see on my Instagram (username: @Krizia_S).

So, are your ready to join the #Balmaination tomorrow?

New // Miu Miu 'Noir' Sunglasses

DSC05100
A little break from all the holiday vlogs to show you one of my purchases during my stay in Italy: the Miu Miu Noir sunglasses. The Noir sunnies were on my wish list for a long time and when I saw these special edition ones in Italy, I just couldn't help it. The 'caviar' texture, the rhine stones, the shape... They just had to come home with me. The fact that the owner of the sunglasses shop was about 90 years old did help a bit as well; I have a soft spot for old people.

What do you think about them?

New // Chanel Boy Bag

ChanelBoyBag2
I gave birth to a boy! A Chanel Boy, to be precise. I now finally have a man in my life and by my side forever. And what's even better: this fella won't cry, scream, nag or bug me out in any way, hehe. After hopelessly looking for the classic black Boy bag with silver hardware for months and getting to hear that it was almost impossible to find a one these days, I decided to go for another classic but different piece.

So, here's my Boy! Black, medium size, with silver and gold hardware and with black and grey stitching. Slightly different than the classic one, but still a timeless piece. Throwing a baby shower would be a little bit too much, but I'm so happy with my choice. Time to take my Boy out for a walk and enjoy the sunny weather! Ciao!

New // Chanel Cruise '14 / '15 Sandals

ChanelCruise1415Sandals1
First of all, I'd like to apologize for going MIA for the past couple of days. I decided to take a break from my computer, so I could spend the holidays with my family and friends and enjoy it to the fullest. That being said, I wish you all a belated merry Christmas, filled with joy, happiness and all things positive. I hope you all had a wonderful time with your beloved ones.

Secondly, I'd like to show you my latest purchase: these adorable sandals from the Chanel Cruise '14 / '15 collection, which I found at the Chanel boutique in Antwerp and were a Christmas present to myself. As you may (or may not) know, winter doesn't exist in my mind, nor does it exist in my wardrobe. I can't seem to find even one single piece of winter clothing that I like, which is why I usually skip that process. Instead, I focus on spring and summer.

I can't wait to wear these beauties with a pair of shorts, dresses or a pair of skinny jeans. They also come in gold, but the color didn't really suit me well with my pale skin and all. Plus, I think the blue color is versatile enough to combine it with various items in my wardrobe.

What do you think of them?

New // MacBook Pro 13" Retina

MacBookPro
For those who don't follow me on Instagram ... Meet my new love: the MacBook Pro 13" Retina. Easy to work with, in possession of all the essential plug ins such as USB (I'm still old school when it comes to plug ins), thin, light as a feather (always fun when taking your laptop with you while traveling) and a minimalistic look. As a blogger, you always have to keep various things in mind when purchasing a new tech gadget.

I share my latest purchases with my readers on a regular basis, so why not this one as well? After all, this is an extremely big (if not the biggest) part that keeps the blog going. This is whom I spend hours a day with: writing blogpost, answering emails, editing pictures, managing social media ...

My previous MacBook was purchased 5 years ago, when I just started college and about a month before I started the blog. It was a white, plastic MacBook with a rubber bottom and my companion for years. However, it started to give up on me: editing pictures, watching YouTube-clips and editing my own ... It literally took me all day to create a new post. I also celebrated my 25th birthday not too long ago, so I asked my family and friends for money as a gift (golddigger much?). I picked up my silver baby today and this is the first post that I'm writing from my new laptop. Pure heaven, let me tell you. No more panic attacks or the urge to throw my laptop out of the window.

I'm one happy woman now!

P.S.: This picture is taken with my iPhone, since my cousin borrowed my camera for a big art project she's working on. I'm not sure why I'm sharing this with you; I guess it's one of those "Just so you know" situations.

New // Sam Edelman 'Chester' Boots

SamEdelmanChester1
Remember when I went to the Sam Edelman event in Antwerp a while ago? I had the amazing opportunity to meet the designer himself - such a charming fella - and was also told that I could pick a pair from the Fall / Winter 2014 collection afterwards. So, not too long ago, I went to the Gimpex showroom to pick out my favorite pair and then had to wait until they arrived in my size.

I received an email from the ever so sweet ladies at UPR that my shoes finally arrived at their agency and, if you follow me on Instagram, you know that I went to pick them up yesterday. Tadaaa! I decided to go for the Chester boots. Black ankle boots, part leather / part suède, a thick golden chain on the back (a trend I already wrote about here); I absolutely love them. I have slowly been updating my closet, making it fall and winter proof, and these booties are a perfect addition.

What do you think about them?

New // Chloé 'Carlina' Sunglasses

ChloéCarlina
Remember how I wrote about my love for the Chloé 'Carlina' sunglasses here? Well, I can finally add 'her' to my inner circle. After looking for her all over Belgium and even in Rome - without any results - I decided hit the World Wide Web. Like seriously, how hard can it be to find a pair of sunnies? I'm usually quite paranoia when it comes to ordering stuff online, especially not-so-cheap sunglasses.

My mom convinced me to click the sunnies home and so I did. I ordered them on Otticanet and everything went amazing, thank God. I ordered, payed and could follow my package's every move via the FedEx-website.When I first laid eyes on Carlina, I totally fell in love and others seem to like her too, since I received tons of compliments already.

So, what do you think?

Shark Attack Video // What's New In May?

Since I deleted one scene completely, I think it's safe to say that I'm still learning on how to edit videos, lol. Aàànd, I got the Nikes from JD Sports and not J Brand, no idea why I said it. I'm such a freakin' idiot. Anyway, here's my new video with all of the new items that I received in May.

Shark Attack Video // Introduction + New ASOS Clothes

Sooo, I'm excited and extremely nervous at the same time at the moment... I'm introducing you my first vlog / video / whatever you want to call it. Like I already said in the video (I definitely seem to love to repeat myself, lol): I'm still new with this, but I'm working on it! What I forgot to say in the video: I think that it would be nice to film on events, for example, because I sometimes find it hard to capture the right vibe or atmosphere going on at that event just by taking pictures. What do you think?

I've watched the video a billion times and here are some notes to myself:

* My left eye a.k.a. lazy eye is very noticeable on video, so I just wanted to let you know that: yes, I know my left eye is weird;
* I say "ASOS dot com" and "a voucher worth € 100" wayyy to much, sorry for that;
* Maybe (just maybe), I should have given the mint green blouse with the sequined collar some more attention;
* ...

Because I never take myself too seriously, I decided to leave some fails in video -- we all love fails.

Do let me know what you think about it!

New // COS Lace Bralette + Inspiration

COSLaceBra
Picture // Shark Attack - Fashion Blog

I'm usually not the one to follow (blogger) trends blatantly, but this one slowly grew on me. A couple of weeks ago, I was convinced permanently when I walked into the COS store in Antwerp and saw this lace beauty hanging right in front of me. When I tried it on, it made me realize that I should put more effort in wearing some nice lingerie. I do not own pretty, matching sets and always limit myself to basic black, white or nude bras and panties.

A lace bralette can pull even the simplest of outfits to a higher level; let it peak out underneath a shirt or blouse in a subtle manner or go all the way by wearing it with a cut out, loose tank top. You might want to look out with the last option, though. Most of the time, your nipples are visible through the lace -- just in case to avoid a nipple slip.

Click below to see some of my favorite looks that include lace bralettes and some tips on where to shop them.

New // Maje Dress

DSC07861
Spring and summer are slowly making their entrance in my closet lately. I spotted this powder pink hippie kinda dress at the Maje outlet shop at Maasmechelen Village, at 70 % off. #Score Yes, I know, this dress isn't something I'd usually wear, but so many combinations came to me when I saw it, that I just had to take it home with me.

Just think about it... You can wear it with a big chunky belt, or without it. Combine it with tons of jewelry or go for the simple, delicate, ladylike bling. Wear it with sandals or ballerina flats. Or go for a pair of Minnetonka fringed boots or heavier ones à la Acne Pistol boots for that rock 'n roll touch. Let us not forget a pair of pumps to complete your party outfit. Add a fedora hat to it or put a crown of flowers in your hair to channel your inner Lana Del Rey / hippie.

See? The options are endless, literally.
What do you think?

New // Chanel Sneakers

DSC07717
They're black. They're made from leather. They were the last pair and in my size. I guess that you won't be surprised when I tell you that I used that last fact as an excuse à la "it was a sign from above" -- my mom agreed with me, my dad just rolled his eyes (but later admitted that he loves them as much as I do).

So meet my new babies, glued to my feet ever since I took them home with me from the Chanel store in Antwerp last week. Comfortable yet stylish, perfect to take every casual and everyday look to a higher level. Not to forget that there's only a subtle reference to the brand, always a plus.

Sneakers: CHANEL

New // San Jose Sharks Cap

DSC05665
Experiencing a major bad hair day today, which is the perfect opportunity to wear this San Jose Sharks cap that I bought a while ago. I don't know a lot about sports, but I do know that the Sharks are a hockey team from San Jose, California and that they play the Jaws theme song as an intro during their home games.

My mom rolled her eyes when I showed her this cap and I could already hear what she was thinking: "You're never going to wear that." My arguments?

- At least I know a teeny tiny something about the Sharks, as mentioned above.
- Sharks are part of my 'Favorite Animals'-list.
- I named my blog after these gorgeous creatures.
- The cap is by '47 Brand, a company and brand founded by two Italian immigrants - and twin brothers - in 1947, named Arthur and Henry D'Angelo. I'm Italian, gotta support my people, right?

What do you do when you have a bad hair day?

New // Balmain & Isabel Marant

DSC05436
DSC05444
My parents and I went to Liège to do some serious sale shopping and I think we succeeded. We stopped at our two hotspots we always visit when we're in town, had some lunch and went back home. There were already 50 % discounts in stores, always fun!

First stop was Irina Khä, where I bumped into the yellow Balmain jacket at 50 % off. My dad got it for me as a gift "for my next 3 birthdays", as he said so himself. Fair enough, hehe. The picture doesn't really does the color justice. It's a canary, almost fluorescent, kinda yellow. Since I own about a dozen of black leather jackets, I think it was time for a change. I'm thinking a tank top, skinny jeans and killer heels or a pair of cool sneakers.

Next up was Ygreque, where I found the Isabel Marant Scarlet boots at 30 % off. They were on my wish list ever since the F/W RTW 2013 fashion show, but always out of my budget. I wanted the all black boots at first, but my size was already sold out. My mom managed to convince me to try on the black and white pair above, since I was a bit hesitant. I tried them on and I fell in love head over heels.

What do you think?
Did you managed to get something from you wish list during the sales? I wanna hear all about it!

New // V Necklace By Lobogato

DSC05024
Santa came early this year and gifted me this gorgeous necklace by Lobogato. Lobogato is a Belgian jewelry brand, founded by Veerle and Katrijn. From all the items they offer, their necklaces are my favorite; they're so feminine and delicate. All of the items are handmade and some of them can even be personalized. You can get a personalized hand stamped necklace here or go for the locket here, which can be pimped with your favorite photo inside. They're the perfect gift to give to one of your loved ones, especially with Christmas around the corner.

Lobogato nailed it by sending me their V-shape necklace, since the V hides so much symbolism (for me). It's best known as a peace sign, even though in Great-Britain (and colonies) it means something like 'f*ck you', depending on which part of your hand you're showing. It's also the Roman five and others also believe it's a symbol designating hatred towards Christians, thanks to Emperor Nero. Others even link it to Satanism and the occult. 'V For Vendetta' is one of my favorite movies and in one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs 'Jeremy', Eddie Vedder sings:

"At home, drawing pictures of mountain tops. With him on top, lemon yellow sun. Arms raised in a V..."

The song is about 15-year-old Jeremy Wade Delle, who shot himself in front of his English class on January 8, 1991.

So you see, it has a lot of meanings to me. I can hear y'all thinking: "How the hell does she know all that?" Well, during my education as a history teacher, we learned a lot about symbols and symbolism. I have always found it quite fascinating and did a lot of research on my own, so there you go.

I would like to thank Veerle and Katrijn from Lobogato for the lovely gift.

Necklace: Thanks to LOBOGATO
