Feature // I Love Fashion News: NEW WARDROBE

Photobucket
Always wanted to know what my closet looks like?
Keep on reading, then! The Dutch fashion website I Love Fashion News did a feature on my closet, asking me about my style and some of my favorite items. Don't expect a huge walk in-closet or something. That's something I'm still  dreaming of.

New // Kartell + Maje

I'm usually not a big fan of sales shopping - too many people pushing and screaming, shops that look like a tornado hit them, the ultimate left overs all piled up - so when I do find something, I consider it a miracle. Before my lunch with Aureta last Friday in Brussels, I did some quick sales shopping with my mom in the stores nearby.

Wanted // Dip & Dye

Photobucket
I've always been a fan of Lauren Conrad, from watching her star in Laguna Beach and The Hills, to reading her books and Googling her on a regular basis. I used to dream about having a life like hers on The Hills and to drool on her outfits, which to me, always looked perfect. Now that I'm older, I'm not that obsessed about her anymore, but I'm still a fan.

I was surprised to see this picture of Lauren, having the ends of her hair dip dyed in various colors. I love to see her taking a break from her 'American Sweetheart'-image. When I was younger, I dyed my hair black, black AND white, pink, red, orange (big mistake) and I also used to have various pieces of colored fake hair that I used to wear all together. Yes, I've had my share of colored hair. :D
I like this do a lot and would try it out immediately if I had a celebrity hair dresser, since I'm a bit scared of looking like a total clown / wrong punk chick with the hair dressers around here.

What do you think about this do? Hit or miss?

Meeting // Brussels

Photobucket
As you may have read in some of my previous posts - since I couldn't shut up about it - I had a lunch date with a bloggers whose blog I check on a daily basis: Aureta from Aureta's Blog. With her visiting Brussels for a day and me helping her out with finding some Belgian magazines Aureta's featured in, we decided it was a nice opportunity to meet up for lunch. We had a short, but great time together, talking about our blogs, traveling, our favorite things, love, fashion, our family, our heritage (she's Albanian, I'm Italian), ... I'm hoping our paths will cross again soon. :)

The lunch date in Brussels was also the perfect opportunity to do some shopping at Maje and Kartell. You can see what I bought at Kartell in some of the pictures already: purple Glue Cinderella Ballet Flats. I wanted to have the transparent ones first, but when I tried them on, they weren't what I expected. Since I have tons of black flats, I decided to go for the purple ones - which is one of my favorite colors. Walking around in Brussels on heels isn't the best idea (cobble stones everywhere!), so I decided to change my heels to my just bought flats.

I'll show you what I bought at Maje and a better close up of the flats in my next post.

Outfit // Twinkle

Wearing one of my new favorite items in my closet: this pink and silver treaded shirt I found at Zara. I love the cut, the shape, the colors and the fact that it has a teeny tiny Missoni-print if you look closely. I paired the shirt up with a rather simple outfit, so that the shirt doesn't get blocked out by something else. These pictures were taken before my trip to Brussels, where I had a lunch date with Aureta. You'll see pictures of my stay in Brussels in my next post.

I bet you're thinking: "Is she wearing those sunglasses AGAIN???"
Yes, because I have a major crush on them and I wish I could wear them all the time. Today, a boy even asked me if he could touch the sunglasses, giving me a whole speech on why he loved these glasses that much. It was so cute. :D

Trip // Sea Side

Last Sunday, I went on a trip to the sea side with some fellow bloggers. The weather was amazing, we did some (window) shopping, got some drinks and did a lot of people watching. We had a good laugh (and almost a cry) over our lunch: 14 euros for two burned pieces of toast and 5,50 euros for a glass of wine is ... rather expensive. Anyway, I had a lovely time with some great people, which I hope to see again very soon.

Kim is missing on this picture, since she's the one who took it. ;)

Random // Personal

Hi everyone!

First of all, I'd like to apologize for my absence. I've been busy with work, events and meetings. I went to the sea side with some of my fellow bloggers last Sunday, of which you'll see some pictures in my next post. In the meantime, here are some random pictures of what I've been up to lately.

The picture above is taken at the F21-party by Sabina, while I was waiting for my cocktail. I really like the mix of colors in the picture. :)

Outfit // Turban

After looking for the perfect turban for quite some time, I finally found one at the River Island in Amsterdam. To avoid looking like a clown, I decided to keep the rest of my outfit simple: black and white, with an edgy touch by wearing a black bra underneath the see through tank top.

I went shopping in Maastricht in this outfit, and it seemed like people had never seen someone wearing a turban before. The Prada glasses are perfect for that extra dramatic touch, but I'm also wearing them because, due to my talent to be very clumsy at times, I have a cut right above my eye.

P.S.: Every time I enlarge my pictures here on Blogger, the quality gets ruined. Does anyone has any tips how to avoid that?

Top: H&M // Bra: SONIA RYKIEL FOR H&M // Skirt: H&M // Wedges: H&M // Turban: RIVER ISLAND // Bag: CHANEL // Sunglasses: PRADA

Hi everyone!

I'm honored that I can show you some new features - I still have to get used to it.
The picture above shows my feature on Style Today, where I had to comment on seven of my outfits and also got interviewed on my style, inspiration and fashion icons. The article is in Dutch, but if you want to see the whole article, you can click HERE.

Trip + Event // Amsterdam

Last Friday I was invited to Amsterdam with some of my blogger besties for the We Like Fashion-event. The day started early for most of us: I had to get up at 4 am to get there in time (hence the tired faces). We started the day with some shopping before going to the event. I really enjoyed walking around in Amsterdam -- It was my first time there. It's such a vibrant and beautiful city - I'm definitely going back ASAP!

Click below to see a photo report of our long, but very fun day!

New // Business Cards by Cointreau

When I was at the Forever 21-party last Wednesday, there was a surprise waiting for me. Cointreau decided to gift a selected group of bloggers a whole new set of business cards and this cute card holder. Since I was running out of business cards, the timing couldn't have been better. My old business cards only had the link to my blog written on it, so this is a nice change and they look more professional.

I would like to thank the sweet people at Cointreau and Oona for this gift!

Sorry if I haven't been that active on Shark Attack / Facebook / Twitter, but I've been extremely busy this week. I try to update you on everything that's been going on lately ASAP, starting with this post.

P.S.: For privacy reasons, I decided to remove my mobile number on the pictures.

Outfit + Video // Forever 21

Here's a better look to the outfit I wore to the Forever 21-party I wrote about in my previous post. I must admit that I nearly died (okay, not almost died, but hey!) at the party. It was very warm inside, but I really didn't want to take the jacket off. Why? Because I thought my outfit would boring without it. So whenever someone asked me: 'Aren't you sweating your *tuut* off in that jacket?", I just shook my head and laughed it away. The fact that I got a lot of compliments on the jacket might have contributed to my I'm-not-taking-this-jacket-off-attitude.

I also included a video of the party at the end of this post.
The video was made by Elle and you can spot me around the 1:03 mark. :)
