Come On Baby, Light My Fire.

"People fear death even more than pain. It's strange that they
fear death. Life hurts a lot more than death. At the point of
death, the pain is over. Yeah,  I guess it is a friend."

(Faux) Furrr...

Today I finally got the chance to wear the Chanel-flats
my sister bought me for my birthday.
Trying to avoid another total black and gold look, which you know I'm a fan of,
I decided to wear my faux fur vest again after a long time.

It's perfect for when it's not too warm or too cold outside, just like today.
Now I'm off watching my soaps: Dr. Phill, Oprah and Days Of Our Lives.
I feel like an old woman sometimes, but I can't stop watching them! :D

Xoxo, Krizia.

Oh, That's Why ...

As I told you in my previous post, I was waiting anxiously for the new to begin
to see some Lanvin for H&M-reports.
And I waited... And waited...
They didn't mention it once.

I thought this was kind of strange,
since they did show footage of Jimmy Choo for H&M.
I decided to Google around, hoping I would find some 'real life-footage' there.
Well, I did find some pictures and immediately understood why the news
didn't bother to report the event.

In Brussels, there were only 120 people waiting,
and in Antwerp only 100 people.
Some difference when you see the people waiting for Jimmy Choo in
the video below:

The video is in Dutch, but I think you can see it for yourself.
That's just crazy, right???

Inspiration

Excusez-moi for the lack of outfit-posts.
I've been working on my thesis most of the time
and didn't leave the house for the past two days.
I've been wearing my PJ's and believe me,
that's something you don't want to see! ;)

I hope I can take some outfit-pictures tomorrow.
Meanwhile, I'm anxiously waiting for the news to begin.
I'm dying to see the reports of Lanvin for H&M this morning!

My sister sent me this article HERE, saying that in NYC,
people have spent up to $ 3000 at H&M.
That's just crazy!

Anyway, since I don't have any outfit-pictures to show you,
I posted some pictures I thought were nice and inspiring.

Xoxo, Krizia.

Not For Me...

The whole fashion / blogger world has been enchanted by the
Lanvin and H&M-collaboration for quite some time now.
I've read dozens of blogs who wrote about Lanvin for H&M,
telling us about the pieces they really want to get their hands on, etc.
And with the collection hitting the stores very, very soon I can
almost feel the anxiety and nervousness myself.

If you're a reader / follower of my blog,
you probably already noticed that I never wrote about Lanvin for H&M,
until now.
Why?
Well, I don't know the answer myself.
I just don't see myself waiting in line, almost getting killed by hundreds of
screaming and pushing girls when the doors open, and not being sure if I'll
even get my hands on one of the pieces I wanted.
I didn't wait in line for Karl Lagerfeld for H&M, I didn't wait in line for
Viktor & Rolf for H&M, I didn't wait in line for Jimmy Choo for H&M,
and I won't be waiting in line now.

Even if you may get the impression now that I don't like the Lanvin-collection,
that's not true.
I've seen some cute shirts and dresses!

Now, I must admit I'm curious if YOU will stand in line for probably a
couple of hours.
Will you? Why (not)?
And if you will, which are the pieces you'll try to get your hands on?
Feel free to leave links of your purchases in my comment box,
I'd really like to see how you've combined them and how they look on the
'non-official' pictures.

For those who will be waiting in line:

I wish you the best of luck and I hope you'll get the pieces you wanted!

Xoxo, Krizia.

The Cape

I finally got the chance to wear the Burberry-cape my aunt gave
me for my birthday.
Since I still haven't found the perfect winter coat,
I think this cape will do just fine.

I matched it up with my mom's Burberry-bag and some leather gloves
who have the same pattern as the bag.

What do you think about the result?
Are you a fan of capes?

P.S.: Some readers asked me to do a post on my bags.
Would you be interested in it?

Have a nice weekend!

New Look Bloggers Night: The Event

So, as I already told you yesterday,
I attended the New Look Blogger Night in Brussels.

We were supposed to have a first look at the Spring / Summer 2011-collection,
but the collection didn't arrive there on time.
Because they didn't want us to come to Brussels for nothing, we got to see the collection on the laptop.

I managed to snap a couple of pictures,
so that you have an idea of what the S/S 2011-collection will be like:
a lot of colors, stripes, floppy hats, cute shorts, maxi dresses and more sophisticated looks.

Here are some of my favorite outfits.
I hope you can appreciate the post, even if I couldn't take pictures of
the collection 'in real life'.

New Look Bloggers Night: The Outfit

Hi everyone!

I'm invited to the 'New Look Bloggers Night' tonight,
which will take place in Brussels.

I'm not really sure what to expect,
but the invitation said will get information about the Spring / Summer-collection.
I love New Look, especially the shoes.
They're affordable to all of us, and they stay wearable for quite a while.
I had some black pumps who survived me going clubbing for several years. :D

Looking at the name, I think a lot of Belgian bloggers will be there.
Sofie from Fashionata already tweeted me she'll be there too.
I'm so excited!

Of course, I'll take pictures of the event, so stay tuned!

Paris: What I Bought...

Another post related to my trip to Paris.
Here are a couple of pictures, showing what I bought.

Me With Baptiste Giabiconi.

While I was having dinner at La Gioia in Paris last Friday,
I noticed a couple of boys entering the restaurant.
When I looked more closely,
I realized that it was no one other than Baptiste Giabiconi.

I guess no further explanation is needed when I mention his name,
but for those who don't know:
Baptiste Giabiconi is one of the world's most famous male models.
You may know him from Chanel -- Baptiste appears in every runway show
and almost every campaign.

After joking that I'd hope to bump into him in Paris two posts ago,
well, I guess my 'wish' came true.
At first, I was too scared to ask him for a picture,
but my dad literally dragged me over there and said:
"You'll probably never get a chance like this again."
And he's right, so after that I thought:
'Screw this, I'm going to ask for a picture!'

Baptiste is a very friendly and down-to-earth person, even if I met him briefly.
We took a picture, I wished him a happy birthday, and I returned to my seat.
(Baptiste turned 21 on the 9th of November, which means I'm 4 days older than him. *wink*)

So, here's the picture.
As you can see, a no-black bra + black dress + flash isn't the best combination.
I should've known better, but hey, so what? :D

P.S.: Frequent readers of my blog know that I've written about Baptiste more than once.
You can click hereherehere and here to see some of my previous posts and some
of his model work.

Paris!

Hi everyone!

I just returned from Paris, and I want to go back already.
Even if it rained all the time, and the wind almost blew me away,
Paris holds a special place in my heart.

I got the chance to visit all the places I wanted to see,
as I told you in my previous post, except for Père Lachaise.
I'll visit it the next time I'll go to Paris, for sure.

Tomorrow I'll post a picture of someone I ran into while I was having dinner last Friday.
I'm sure you fashion lovers will like the person I'm with on the picture.
Some of my readers already found out who it is, but be ready for a nice surprise tomorrow.
I know I was surprised ... ;)

P.S.: Prepare for a picture overload. I did my best to select the nicest pictures,
but there were still so many...

Paris, Here I Come!

Tomorrow I'll finally be in Paris 'till Saturday.
I've been to Paris with school in the 3rd grade once,
but we didn't see that much as I had hoped.

So, my sister and I planned our trip out a little,
and here are some of the places I really want to see.

Birthday Presents - Part 1

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share the first part of my birthday presents with you.
My dad and sister promised I could pick out some presents in Paris,
I'm so excited. :D
So you can expect some more Birthday Presents-posts later. ;)

Of course, the Hello Kitty-cupcakes my mom surprised me with.
I didn't want to eat them, because they looked so cute. :D

Birthday Party

Yesterday I celebrated my 21st birthday with my parents,
sister and brother-in-law at my aunt's restaurant.
Since I'm dreading every birthday ever since I became 18, I decided to keep it small.

I chose a powder pink and black dress to wear to my party.
What do you think of it?

When it was time for dessert, my mom told me she had a surprise for me.
She surprised me with lots of Hello Kitty-cupcakes!
Aren't they cute?
You can feel the sugar while eating them, though.
These cupcakes are stuffed with calories. :D

Dress: H&M // Shoes: NEW LOOK // Clutch: NEW LOOK

P.S. Never mind the boring hair. I had to work and I barely had time to get dressed
for my party, let alone fixing my hair. :(

isn't it amazing? :D

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who entered.
I wish I could give the ring to each and every one of you.

I Love ... Leighton Meester for Marie Claire

I absolutely love this picture of Leighton Meester for Marie Claire.
I love the fact that it's black and white, it's simplicity, the hair, the make-up
and the subtle Chanel-tattoo.
Now that I think of it, I still have to use my tattoos.

Halloween

Hi guys!

I wanted to show you my Halloween-outfit I wore to a party yesterday.
Dressing up like the devil is a cliché, I know, but I like the result anyway.

On the second picture you can see me with 'Bush' and 'Bin Laden',
who were part of our group.
They won the prize for 'Best Costume'. :D
Well, we were about the only ones dressed up at the party,
along with some other people, but we still had fun.

What was your costume?

Dress: UNKOWN // Tights: UNKNOWN // Shoes: NEW LOOK

Only 4 days left to enter my Just Cavalli-give away!
