Event // Irina Khä & Delvaux

DSC05003
My parents and I took a trip to Liège yesterday. The reason? One of my all time favorite multi brands stores, Irina Khä, invited us to discover their Delvaux-colletion. If you ever happen to be in Liège, I highly suggest you to visit the store. Located in a beautiful and gigantic building, you will find three floors filled with the best designer brands. I'm talking about Balenciaga, Balmain, Chloé, Filles À Papa, Prada, Stella McCartney and many more.

Anyway, back to the main reason of my visit: Irina Khä will also be selling Delvaux from now on. For those who are not familiar with the brand, let me give you a short introduction:

Delvaux was founded by Charles Delvaux in Brussels in 1829, which makes it the world's oldest fine leather luxury goods House. That's quite a handful, but Belgians are very proud when it comes to the brand and they have every right to be. The Belgian royals are spotted with a Delvaux on a regular basis and the same goes for the Dutch royals as well. The brand owns several ateliers in Belgium and France, where each item is made by hand by the best craftsmen. During the event, I had the chance to chat with a couple of people who work for Delvaux and they told me that they're opening several stores all over the world. I can only approve of this, since I get the feeling that Delvaux doesn't always get the credit it deserves.

I absolutely loved the collection at Irina Khä. Even though I always thought that Delvaux was meant for an older and more mature public, taking a close look at the collection proved me wrong completely. You'll see what I mean when you see the pictures.

I would like to thank Irina Khä and Delvaux for having me there and especially Morgane for the warm welcome. It was so nice to meet you!

New // Supertrash 'Armer' Boots

Boots
The search is over! I've been looking for the perfect winter boots for ages and I finally found them at Supertrash yesterday. My parents and I went to Maastricht and I wanted to go for a pair of black Uggs, but thank God that we visited the Supertrash-store first.

To me, the perfect boots that are comfy, warm and will get me through the snow this winter. Uggs are comfy and warm, but they get ruined easily when it's snowing. I prefer to wear them inside or during fall and winter, when temperatures are dropping quickly but it's still snow free. The boots above fulfill all of my wishes. And I love how they embrace my calfs perfectly, another problem when it comes to finding a pair of well fitting boots.

These boots secretly make me feel like Katniss Everdeen. When I tried them on, I could already see myself as a Hunger Games-tribute. All I needed was a bow and arrows. Just kidding, I would probably be dead before I had even set one foot in that arena, but at least I'll survive winter now.

You can get the Supertrash 'Armer' boots HERE

Money VS Budget // Dolce & Gabbana VS H&M

DolceHM
I came across these gorgeous lace ankle boots at the H&M in Dusseldorf two days ago. Getting a Dolce & Gabbana-flashback, I immediately took them home with me. They are very comfortable -- I wore them to my aunt's birthday party yesterday and my feet didn't hurt a bit.

I combined them with a pencil skirt and silk blouse yesterday and I can't wait to see how they look with a pair of skinny jeans or a (lace) dress. It's been a while since I've been this excited about a pair of shoes. The lace pattern make them look like a pair of designer booties, don't you think?

Go for the original Dolce & Gabbana's here or get the budget friendly version by H&M here.

Outfit // The Streets

TheStreets11
Yes, it was freezing when we shot these pictures, but I'm still so not ready to wear turtlenecks and oversized sweaters all the time. Plus, how was I supposed to show you this awesome new shirt I got at the Zara men's department? Anything for the blog!

The bold print caught my eye immediately and made my history loving heart go boom, boom, boom. See that statue in the middle? I've seen hundreds of ancient Greek and Roman statues and sculptures during my history education and I genuinely loved studying it. Except for the Middle Ages, that part of history caused me serious trauma, but I'm going to spare you the details.

As for the shoes, I must admit that I've been a bad blogger and totally forgot about them. But it's not what you think! The PR people at Sacha were so kind to let me pick out a pair of shoes in May, but I had my ankle broken during that time. Then summer came and unless I wanted my feet to melt, wearing these sneakers wasn't an option. But now worries, 'cause they finally get the attention they deserve. They fit perfectly into this outfit, don't they?

What do you think about the graffiti in the background? Isn't it amazing? Some talented kids in my hometown decided to turn a couple of garages into a piece of art. They even included Michael Jackson! #Hero It's sad that graffiti gets frowned upon 99 % of the time, 'cause you can see how beautiful it can be if it's done with the right intensions. I don't approve of vandalism, just to make myself clear.

Collection // H&M Spring 2014

DSC04879
Yesterday, I hopped on the train to Brussels for a preview of the H&M Spring 2014-collection. It's a new capsule collection, just like the Autumn-collection that was shown to public during the highly anticipated fashion show in Paris.

Pastel colors, maxi dresses, thigh high boots, embroidered jackets, ruffled blouses, a touch of bling here and there... The collection has urban and bohemian chic written all over it. As for the materials, the designers decided to place their bets on various options such as suède, leather, denim and lace. Part of the collection is inspired by fortune tellers (yay!), which definitely shows in the prints and accessories: moons, stars and mystic patterns. When I was younger, I was obsessed by fortune telling and everything that had to do with it. I even bought myself tarot cards. I guess it's needless to say that it didn't turn into something successful. Conclusion? The Spring 2014-collection is very wearable but contains some eye catchers as well.

It took me forever to prepare this post. I had the hardest time narrowing it down to only showing you my absolute favorites from the collection. You can find them after the jump.

The H&M Spring 2014-collection will hit selected stores on 6 March 2013.

I would also like to thank Matthieu and Lison for the invite and the warm welcome!

Trend // Adidas 'Adilettes' Slippers

Sporty1
I've been keeping an eye on this upcoming trend for a while now and when I saw Mary-Kate Olsen leaving a restaurant above, it was official: the 'Adilettes' by Adidas are back. They were originally created as comfy footwear for athletes, were part of tons of street looks in the 90s and were banned into the deepest pits of fashion hell afterwards. The only thing still kind of acceptable was to wear them around the pool, coming out of the shower and... in my home town, combined with white socks and all. And guess what? It looks like the people in my teeny tiny home town were far ahead of the trend for once.

It might be surprising to see the Adilettes all over town again, but is it really? Remember when most of us were hating on wearing Birkenstocks in public and how they suddenly became THE it-item after Céline pimped and furred them a bit (I still don't like them, though)? Hypes really do find their way  sooner or later and even if others like to claim otherwise, I really believe that there aren't rules in fashion -- just wear what you like, that's my motto.

The Adilettes have been spotted on celebrities, bloggers and are even featured in editorials recently. I collected a couple of images after the jump. My opinion? I never thought I'd say this, but I love how some of the girls combined them. They really pull them off. Reflecting on my personal style, I'm afraid they're just not me. Plus, wearing them where I live, I'd probably be far behind on anyone else; they're a trend among the boys, I'm telling ya.

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this one.
Cool? Or just not done?

New // Yeezy 77 By Les (Art)ists

LesArtistesYeezy77
It's been freezing outside for the past couple of days, so shooting my new T-shirt outside wasn't really an option. This picture will have to do for now -- forgive me!

I got this shirt at Stylesuite in Maastricht (a shop you absolutely must visit whenever you're around) and it's by Les (Art)ists. The brand was founded by a couple of friends in Paris in 2012 and has been busy conquering the world ever since. Inspired by American football jerseys, they decided to take the design and change the names on the back in to those of the world's top artists in the fashion, art and music business, while the numbers refer to the artist's birth year. Andy Warhol, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams, Alexander Wang... They're all in the Les (Art)ists' club!

At first, I was in doubt between the (Raf) Simons and (Martin) Margiela shirts -- first class fashion blogger's problems. I then spotted this Yeezy version; Yeezy a.k.a. Kanye West's nickname. Even though I usually listen to rock music, I can most definitely appreciate Kanye's music. By the way, going for a fashion designer as a fashion blogger might be a tad too obvious, so enter Yeezy and exit Simons and Margiela. No hard feelings, I still love you.

Outfit // Tomboy

FillesAPapaTomboy3
Most of you will probably be tired of seeing this sweater everywhere, but I'm just so happy that I finally managed to get my hands on it. After being worn by Rita Ora and Jourdan Dunn and named as one of Filles À Papa's it-items, the Tomboy sweaters and T-shirts became a highly coveted item in no time. Every time I found out they were back in stock, everyone else had already beat me to the punch. Highly frustrating, I must say... Two days ago, I saw a message pop up on the Facebook-page of Looks And Labels, saying that they had a limited amount of these sweaters in stock again. I immediately begged them to keep one for me, called my dad and dragged him to the Jeurrisen-store in Hasselt. Looks And Labels is the web shop of the Jeurissen-store, just so y'all know.

I usually hate winter clothes, but this sweater definitely passed the test -- so be prepared to see it glued to my body for the coming weeks / months. What do you think about it? I usually try to distance myself from blogger trends - no tartan prints or fluffy pink coats for me - but I don't see any harm in buying something you genuinely like, even if it was a trend among the bloggers.

And, as promised... A different background! My best friend Dario and I were brainstorming on a location to shoot this outfit and decided to go to the woods. This place is only a 3 minute drive from my house and used to be a railway station. Since it's getting dark so early and fast these days, we had some trouble finding the right light, which affected the quality of these shots. I'm kinda bummed, since I really liked the setting. Oh well, there's always next time!

Beauty // Dolce & Gabbana 'Sicilian Jewels' Collection, Part II

DSC04524
Remember when I was freaking out about the Dolce & Gabbana 'Sicilian Jewels' collection here? And how I said I would try to do anything to get my hands on my favorite items? After calling stores in Belgium and the Netherlands without any luck, my friend Karen told me that the collection was available online at Harrods. Needless to day that we immediately placed an order, even if I rarely buy something online.

I decided to go for the red and purple lipstick, called 'Rubino' and 'Ametista'. Red because I'm addicted to any type of red lipstick (you can never go wrong with red, never ever) and purple because it's one of my favorite colors in general. Simple as that.

I tried both of them today and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on them, especially on the purple one.

New // Givenchy Rottweiler Clutch

DSC04517
Who let the dog out?
Meet my newest pet, a late birthday gift from my sister and brother-in-law. When the super famous Rottweiler shirts by Givenchy hit the stores, I immediately started the hunt, but I never managed to get my hands on them.

So you can only imagine when I opened my present and found the clutch inside. I had no idea that they were still around. My sister found it at the Smets Premium Store in Brussels, definitely on top of my 'must visit' list whenever I'm around -- I highly suggest you to do the same. They sell all of my favorite brands, such as Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Chloé, Proenza Schouler, Saint Laurent and Tom Ford, just to name a few.

I'm so in love with this clutch; I think it adds the right amount of edge to every outfit. Example: Amanda Seyfried was spotted multiple times carrying it around on the red carpet (!), to events and in her spare time. Plus, my parents never wanted me to have a dog, and now I can carry one around with me all the time. #Wink

Thoughts?

Shark Attack Loves... // Chloé Tulle Skirt

Chloé
After drooling over the Balmain F/W '13-collection here, I've fallen for another skirt-over-pants look again. I was picking up my daily inspiration on Tumblr, when I came across this image. Love at first sight! The asymmetrical cut, the dotted tulle and lace... Thumbs up! The lady above couldn't wear it in a more perfect way - in my opinion, of course. She's totally nailing it with a pair of skinny jeans peeking out underneath and an emerald green shirt -- gem colors will be another big hit for this fall and winter.

What do you think about it? Are we looking at a new, up and coming trend?

The skirt above is part from the Chloé F/W '13-collection and is, again, way out of my budget. You can shop it below and I also tried to find some more affordable options.

Feature // Shark Attack & Sugarhill Boutique

SHB1
It's past midnight right now and I just found out that I'm featured on one of my favorite brand's website: Sugarhill Boutique. Needless to say that I'm too excited to go to bed right now. My friends Bart and Michel texted me to say that my blog was featured on the website, but I never expected to see my outfit shots pop up between the brand's official look book pictures. To see Shark Attack and other bloggers wearing their items, click here for the 'Blogger Favourites'-section. If you browse over the item, you'll see a blogger wear the item and if you click on it, you'll see the pictures in full size just like you can see above.

I'm still extremely honored every time Shark Attack gets acknowledged. The blog's like my baby now, I guess! Knowing that I started from scratch and seeing what it has become now makes me very proud. Gosh, I sound so corny right now. Anyway, since there's nothing I can do about it at the moment, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read Shark Attack and to leave a comment. I read and appreciate every single one of them. #HugsAndKisses

P.S.: You can find the 1st look here and the 2nd look here.

Personal // Birthday Wish List

As some of you may know, I'm turning 24 on 5 November. Since this rainy and windy weather has got me stuck inside the house, I thought it would be fun to put together a birthday wish list. Some of the items are adapted to my budget and might end up in my closet soon, while others are... less likely to end up in there, lol. But hey,  a girl can dream, right? Are there any items that you are saving up for or that are on the top of your wish list?
