Money VS Budget // Chloé VS New Look

ChloéVSNewLook
I've been eyeing Chloé's Drew bag for quite a while now, but unfortunately, my bank account won't allow me to spend 1200 bucks at once. One of my favorite bloggers posted a shop log on YouTube and when she showed her new New Look bag, a new Money VS Budget post was born! As you may know, I only show cheaper items which were inspired on an it-item and aren't an exact copy. And the New Look bag is exactly that, isn't it? Plus, it comes in other fun, summer proof colors as well.

You can shop the New Look bag HERE and the Chloé Drew bag below:

Outfit // Purple Louis V.

LouisVuitton17
A simple black and white outfit with a touch of color to give it that extra something; that's what I go for when I don't have any inspiration or want to take it easy for the day. My mom picked up the Louis Vuitton scarf during our trip to Amsterdam and with purple being my favorite color, I just had to steal it from her. I'm not sure if I draped it the right way, though... And I'm sorry for wearing my Boy bag again, but it literally goes with everything. Dario already asked me if and when I will wear one of my other bags again, but I can't part from the Boy just yet. #drama

Anyway, a couple of fun, blog related events are coming up. Tonight, I'm off to Antwerp to attend the launch of Anna Nooshin's book 'On Top' and tomorrow, I have to get up super early to attend the exclusive press preview of the new Primark store in Hasselt. Dario is coming with me both times, which is always super fun! You can follow Dario (Dario_Genova) and I (Krizia_S) on Snapchat to see all of our adventures together.

I know that I usually include information on where to shop my looks, but the website that I work with isn't functioning properly. I'll fix it as soon as everything's working again!

Outfit // Bart Simpson

DSC08981
If you don't like The Simpsons, you're probably not in my circle. Whenever I hear that world famous, insanely epic introduction tune, flashbacks are taking me back to simpler times that took place years ago. I can still remember watching every single episode, sitting in my grandparents' living room with my sister after school, waiting for our parents to pick us up on their way back from work. Damn, what I'd give to relive it all just one more time.

When Blackfive gave me the opportunity to pick out some items from their web shop, I immediately clicked this Bart Simpson shirt home. Now, I would be me if I didn't add a touch of leather to my outfits, so I decided to combine it with this leather pencil skirt. I'm really loving how this look turned out. Ay caramba!

Even though it was freezing, raining, terribly windy and we shot these pictures in about 5 minutes, I just had to show you my newest purchase! You all know my love for the Belgian label Filles À Papa by now, so when I found this FAP shirt dress at 60 % off, there was no doubt I had to take it home with me. You gotta love stock sales!

I probably got pneumonia for shooting these pictures, but I was too excited about this purchase. Why? It's sporty and a bit boyish, but still elegant and easy to combine. Score! Another way of wearing it? I'm thinking about black skinny jeans, a tank top and this shirt over it (unbuttoned).

While we were shooting these pictures, my neighbor pulled up the driveway and yelled: "I love your pictures, but you have got to change the background!" I hear you, woman! I'm definitely going to work on that, I promise.

Outfit // Leather On Leather

 photo DSC03245_zpsd584e512.jpg
To my readers who started school again: I wish you all the best for this new year! You might not believe me, but you're actually going to miss school at one point in your life, so enjoy it as much as you can.

As for the outfit: it's probably not everyone's cup of tea, but it was exactly what I had in mind when I found this leather pencil skirt at New Look. I think this is my favorite look up 'till now. Not very practical - no air and too much sweat - but definitely my thing. I never thought I'd dare to participate in the cropped-topped-bare-belly-trend, but these high waisted skirts are perfect to cover up most of your, uhm, flaws. ;)

Sorry for not moving too much from my spot, but my neighbors were all peeking through their windows or passing by 'on purpose' while shooting this outfit. Trying to keep low profile.

Outfit // An American Poet

Photobucket
Another day, another Jim Morrison-shirt. I spotted this one at H&M's men's section and I couldn't resist taking it home. I had to explain my mom what was so different about this one (since I already own a couple of Jim Morrison-shirts) and I simply answered: "The colors. And I love his music and poems, so what's the big deal?".

Anyway, here's a better look on the graduation gift I received from my mom: Stella McCartney's Falabella bag. It is, together with my Balenciaga, the most practical bag I own. I've been wearing it non-stop ever since my mom gave it to me during our shopping trip in Milan. I guess I have a new love.

Have a nice evening, y'all!

Outfit // Paris Fashion Week A/W '11

Photobucket All pictures by Ellaandlouise.com

I'm so in love with these pictures Kim took of Sofie (on the right in the picture above) and I during Paris Fashion Week, outside of Dior. It was my first fashion week and I was so happy to bump into Sofie, since I didn't knew anybody there. I also got to meet Kim, who has quickly become a dear friend of mine. Thanks for the pictures, baybay!

Outfit // Happy Easter!

Photobucket
First of all: Happy Easter!
I hope you'll get buried in chocolate eggs and that you'll get to spend this holidays with your loved ones. Here are some snaps of my outfit, taken in between preparations for today's family lunch. I decided to match one of my favorite band shirts with a pencil skirt, creating a rock chic look. What do you think? :)

Plus, I treated myself on a little Easter present ... I decided to get a .com, which means my URL is http://www.sharkattackfashionblog.com from now on. I wanted to use 'Shark Attack', but it was already taken and I guess it's a nice reminder that people looking for defense against sharks should not click on my URL. ;) Now, I installed it that way that, while inserting my old URL (http://krizia-shark-attack.blogspot.com), you should be redirected to the new URL, but it doesn't work for me. Does anybody know if it takes some time to adjust or ...?
Thanks in advance!

Enjoy the weekend!

Outfit // Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life For Me

Photobucket
My outfit I wore to the opening of the Stijn Helsen and Francis Ferent stores at Maasmechelen Village, but I'll talk to you about that in my next post. :)

I totally felt like a badass pirate, especially wearing these pants. Judging by the looks of others, they must've thought I looked like a clown or something, but I don't really care. I'm already used to the fact that people around here aren't used to seeing something 'different', so ... The jacket was a gift from my dad - he knows me so well - and I'm so in love with it. I don't wear it very often, though. Special occasions only.

I'm so bummed that I had to miss out on the River Island Summer Fashion Show and the 20 Years Verso Party, though. Trying to attend three events in one day, of which two are more than a one hour drive away, is just too difficult. I have to move to Antwerp, period. #Yawn

I'm loving these pictures my mom took, especially the lighting. I didn't edit them one single bit, can you believe it? My mom gets better in taking pictures day by day and I'm sooo loving it.

Outfit // Flower Girl

Photobucket
Not the type of pants I'd see myself wear immediately, but when I walked by my local H&M, these pants immediately caught my eye. I love the fact that the pants still have a lot of black in them - you know me when it comes to black. Black's my thing. Since some of the flowers had the same pastel pink color as my new blazer, I found it the perfect opportunity to wear them together. I wore this outfit to the Big You event, hosted by UPR, which I'll talk to you about in my next post.

Notice anything different? Yep, the new lay out is online and I couldn't be happier about it! What do you think? It was designed by the talented twin brothers Jarne and Yordi a.k.a. Twinski - they're fun and easy to work with. :)
All I need now is a .com and I'm ready to take this blog to a whole new level.

Outfit // Finally

Photobucket
Hi everyone!

So, I finally managed to wear my Isabel Marant Renell pants, of which I already gave you a sneak peek here. I had to tailor them first - they were a bit too big - and I also had to find a suitable sweater and belt to wear with them. Can you believe that I didn't have a simple, black belt until yesterday?

Well, everything's solved now, so my mom and I decided to take some outfit pictures this morning. These pants are very low-waisted, though. I really have to watch it when I want to sit down. ;)

Sorry for the cramped poses, by the way... But as you can tell from the snow, it's literally freezing here in Belgium. I'm literally counting for Spring to arrive.

Featured along two of my favorite friends / co-bloggers on Forever 21's official blog, also known as The Skinny. I'm still honored each and every time someone comes up, asking if they're allowed to take a picture of my outfit. Plus, it's a nice opportunity to show you what I wore to the F21-store preview, since the outfit-pictures I took weren't the best.

Outfit // Twinkle

Wearing one of my new favorite items in my closet: this pink and silver treaded shirt I found at Zara. I love the cut, the shape, the colors and the fact that it has a teeny tiny Missoni-print if you look closely. I paired the shirt up with a rather simple outfit, so that the shirt doesn't get blocked out by something else. These pictures were taken before my trip to Brussels, where I had a lunch date with Aureta. You'll see pictures of my stay in Brussels in my next post.

I bet you're thinking: "Is she wearing those sunglasses AGAIN???"
Yes, because I have a major crush on them and I wish I could wear them all the time. Today, a boy even asked me if he could touch the sunglasses, giving me a whole speech on why he loved these glasses that much. It was so cute. :D

Outfit // Stiletto Blogger Run

Today's the highly feared day... In a couple of hours I'll be 'running' in the Stiletto Bloggers Run among KimKim # 2, Kim # 3, Afrodite and Hanane and Farah from Fashion Fabrice. Here are some quick outfit shots of what I'll wear during the run! Of course, I'll post a full report of the Stiletto Bloggers Run ASAP!

Outfit // Bolero

Photobucket

Don't you love finding items in your closet again which you completely forgot about? This bolero is one of those items and when I found it again this morning, I immediately chose an outfit for it. Tonight, I'll go to Oona's press days with my friend Hille and it seemed the perfect opportunity to wear the jacket. I decided to keep the rest of the outfit simple, since the jacket is quite an eye catcher itself.

Of course, you can expect a full report of the press day I'll attend tonight!

Outfit // Steve Madden

Photobucket

Hi guys!

Here's a quick outfit post of what I'm wearing to the opening of the first European
Steve Madden-store in Antwerp later today.

I tried some colorblocking again, getting more used to it now. I traded the pink blouse
for a vintage yellow one, which is about 20 years old and belongs to my mom.

Talk to you later, when I'll have a full report of the event!

Outfit // Old Pink

Photobucket

Hi everyone!

I hope you all enjoyed this beautiful sunny day!
My mom and I went shopping in Maastricht, and since the weather was perfect, we decided
to take some outfit pictures.

I've been a good girl and I've been keeping my promise on adding some more color in
my wardrobe. I bought this old pink - How do you say this in English? - blouse a couple
of days ago, which is perfect for days like these: warm, but not that warm to walk
around with bare arms. I love the light fabric!
Unfortunately, it seems that I won't be separated from my favorite leather jacket,
which I wore to give this outfit an edgy touch... Again!

For such warm and sunny days I prefer not too much make up, since I have a very
sensitive skin. I'm only wearing some lipstick and mascara.

I think this outfit would have been better with heels, but unless you want a broken
ankle, I advise you to wear some flats if you ever visit Maastricht! The city is
covered all over with cobbles and they really ruin your heels.

Enjoy this sunny day!

x Krizia

P.S. I'm still figuring out how I can get my pictures to have the same largeness,
so bare with me! Suggestions are always welcome!

*UPDATE* An anonymous reader informed that the right term for this color is dusty
pink! Thank you!

New Year's Eve: The Outfit

First of all, again: Happy New Year!
I hope you all celebrated it with the people you love and care
about, and that you all got home safe.

I went out to dinner with some friends and went to a party
afterwards. The roads are still filled with ice and snow, so I
decided to stay in town.

If you're a frequent reader of my blog, you know I already wore
this dress to a Halloween-party here. I didn't had the chance to
go shopping due to my work and studying for my exams, so I had to
recycle. I think this red dress is festive enough for NYE, so I
decided to wear it again. :D

What did you do on NYE?

First Winter Outfit

As I told you a couple of times before, I absolutely hate
winter clothes, but the freezing weather of the past couple
of weeks forced me to change my spring-style way of clothing
this winter.

So, here it is: a quick post to show you my first 'suitable'
winter outfit.
Why I hate winter clothes? They really make me feel 'trapped'
and they itch like hell -- This outfit wasn't an exception!
Okay, enough complaining, I think you get the picture.

Trying to avoid another all-black outfit, I chose a cream
and brown-outfit. I'm not sure what to think about the
change, though. :)

P.S.: Sorry for the sleepy and tired face. These days of work
and studying are showing already...

Bows & Dresses

Ok, I must admit that I was secretly trying to channel my inner
Blair Waldorf with this outfit, my favorite Gossip Girl-character.

With doll like-dresses and big bows / headbands as Blair's signature look,
I decided to give the outfit a more edgy look by wearing my leather, peep toe
ankle boots I showed you before.

My mom said I looked like an easter egg with that bow in my hair,
but in these times of Christmas, I'd rather say I look like a
wrapped up present. :D

& I need to buy a decent camera ASAP, because the quality of
these pictures is driving me insane!
