Outfit // Paradise Cities

Chanel16
Remember this dress by Sugarhill Boutique? When I was cleaning out my closet a couple of weeks ago, I found the matching blouse hidden underneath a pile of clothes. The weather gods pleased us with tons of sunshine the past couple of days; the perfect opportunity to wear this blouse for the first time. The collar and print are too adorable: I've been lucky enough to have visited Paris and New York already, which means that I have had the chance to see the Eiffel Tower and the Statue Of Liberty with my own eyes. However, the Taj Mahal in Agra and the pyramids in Gizeh are still on my to visit list as well.

As for the ripped jeans: I've been living in them for the past two months. They are very high waisted, which is perfect for my figure. The ChloĆ© sunnies had been tucked away into one of my drawers for way too long and my Boy bag by Chanel has been glued to my shoulder ever since I got it. Let this be a warning, because you're going to see this fella a lot in the time to come. The Chanel sandals are also making a debut on the blog, but I didn't take a close up shot of them due to my irrational fear / phobia / disgust of feet. You can have a detailed look at them here

... And baby, heaven's in your eyes.
I'm your national anthem.

Adding some Lana Del Rey to remember the glorious sunny day we had here in Belgium. I also read that we will probably have a nice, warm and almost rainless summer, which makes me happy. And I finally managed to get my hands on these awesome Stan Smith For Adidas-sneakers, which makes me happy as well. *Insert Pharrell Williams here*

Even though I've been absent for a while, I don't have that much to say. My grandmother passed away, so life was hectic, chaotic and emotional -- which explains why I haven't been blogging lately. Plus, I'm taking over my colleague's full time hours for the next two months, so I have to figure out how to combine work and blogging for the next couple of weeks.

I'm off to pay my grandfather a visit now.
Enjoy your evening!

Feature // Shark Attack & Sugarhill Boutique

SHB1
It's past midnight right now and I just found out that I'm featured on one of my favorite brand's website: Sugarhill Boutique. Needless to say that I'm too excited to go to bed right now. My friends Bart and Michel texted me to say that my blog was featured on the website, but I never expected to see my outfit shots pop up between the brand's official look book pictures. To see Shark Attack and other bloggers wearing their items, click here for the 'Blogger Favourites'-section. If you browse over the item, you'll see a blogger wear the item and if you click on it, you'll see the pictures in full size just like you can see above.

I'm still extremely honored every time Shark Attack gets acknowledged. The blog's like my baby now, I guess! Knowing that I started from scratch and seeing what it has become now makes me very proud. Gosh, I sound so corny right now. Anyway, since there's nothing I can do about it at the moment, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read Shark Attack and to leave a comment. I read and appreciate every single one of them. #HugsAndKisses

We've been experiencing and Indian summer here in Belgium -- 22°C, yay! I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to wear this adorable blouse for the first time. I love how the bunny-in-the-hat-print screams 'cute' and the transparency adds some 'sexy'. Plus, the back adds another unexpected twist. Even though the Converse sneakers aren't the exact same color as the blouse, I think they still go well together. What about you, guys?

The jeans are my new love. My body shape makes it incredibly hard to find well fitting trousers. So when I found these super skinny jeans at H&M, I was over the moon. I think about buying some more of these, just in case H&M decides to take them out of the stores.

And last but not least: I'm so sorry for the never changing background. I'm relying on my mom as my photographer and as a working woman, she doesn't always have the time to go to a nice location to shoot. Nope, I'm not one of those bloggers with an awesome photographer boyfriend, but I think my mom does her job equally well.

You can find the blouse here and the dress version on the Belgian web shop Munt Fashion here

Trend // Bambi Prints

I was figuring out what to wear this morning, when I stumbled upon these two items that were given to me by the ever so sweet people at Sugarhill Boutique. Bambi prints! It's not the first time we've seen them pop up on clothes before, which is how the idea for this post came to mind.

I'm so excited that I can finally show you this adorable dress by Sugarhill Boutique! It's my favorite piece from the F/W '13-collection. The print contains all of my favorite must-sees over the world. I've already had the opportunity to see the Eiffel Tower and the Statue Of Liberty myself, so up next are the pyramids in Egypt or the Taj Mahal in India. Not on my dress, but still on my list: the Great Wall of China.

Sugarhill Boutique has captured my heart since the first time I got to know the British brand. I still have other items to show you and I can't wait to hear your opinion about them. If you want to discover the brand yourself, you can visit their website. Bonus: all of the items are super affordable.

Luckily, there are a couple of selling points in Belgium too. You can find Sugarhill Boutique at  Vegas (Antwerp) and at Hippy Chic (Leuven). #Happy

By the way: I absolutely love the lighting in some of these pictures. Doesn't the light mark remind you of the pictures in The Omen? One of the best movies ever, just saying!
Last thing to add... Knees are the ugliest body part ever.

Shark Attack Travels // Ascoli Piceno: Day 1

 photo DSC00913_zps5a7b3302.jpg
Hi from Italy!
Yes, I'm finally here again with my mom and my sister. I haven't had the chance to visit my family for 10 years, so it definitely feels good to be back. I'm staying at my mom's cousin's house and I'm glad I'll be able to update the blog during my stay, even if it takes forever with the slow Internet connection.

My family lives in Ascoli Piceno, a medieval city located in the middle of Italy's east coast. During our arrival and the first part of our first day here (which is today) it was warm and sunny, but now it's raining cats and dogs. We went for a walk around the city and it feels surreal to be here again. Plus, as a history lover, it's perfect to be surrounded by Roman bridges and medieval buildings. I already ate too much, by the way: white pizza with corn, stuffed olives (olive ascolane), risotto, frozen yoghurt, mini pizza on the go and we still have dinner tonight.

I already tried to snap as many pictures as possible. I'm so proud to show you the beautiful city I can call my temporary home again.

Outfit // Happy Easter!

 photo Flamingo_zps35797faa.jpg
Happy Easter, everyone! Here's a quick outfit post of what I'm wearing today. I got inspired by Blair Waldorf for this one and my dad said I look like Snow White. I'm calling it the Blair White / Snow Waldorf outfit. The flamingo print makes me long for summer even more.

Ain't got nothing special planned today. Going out for dinner with the family tonight, even if I'm 100 % convinced that one should only eat Easter eggs today. What are you doing to celebrate?

"Guess who's back? Back again." Sorry, ever since I found out that Eminem is coming to a festival near my home town this summer, I've been singing rapping his songs non stop. Even if I'm more into rock / punk music, I used (and actually still am) to be a big fan of him. I woke up at 8 a.m. to make sure I got pre-sale tickets and I succeeded!

Well, I have been a bit absent on the blog, that's why the first sentence of this post seemed kinda appropriate. The bad weather had me a bit down, which is strange, 'cause I'm usually the last person to complain about that. Plus, my eye infection came back in full force again and there was a point where my eyes couldn't even handle daylight anymore. I've been doing a bit better now, but my eyes are still bloody red. Thank God for big sunglasses.

When I woke up this morning, I saw the sun shine. Even though it's still freezing outside, those rays of sun gave me an energy boost. I decided it was time to wear some pastels. Yes, me, the queen of black and leather, is wearing pastels. Nature works in strange ways, doesn't it? My mom and I got in a little argument over this outfit, because she was convinced I would get pneumonia in no time. I also took my Chanel espadrilles for a quick little spin outside. They've been in my closet for way too long now.
Spring, I'm ready for ya!
