Beauty // M.A.C. Liptensity Lipsticks

MACLiptensity1
Meet M.A.C.'s new lipstick line called Liptensity, created in collaboration with Maureen Seaberg. While M.A.C. usually makes an appeal to celebrities to work with them, they now asked a tetrachromat to help them out. Not sure what I'm talking about? Don't worry, I wasn't either at first.

A tetrachromat is someone with "the genetic ability to see up to 100 million hues imperceptible to the average naked eye" -- in other words: someone who sees 100 times more colors than the average person. With the help of Maureen Seaberg and the High-Frequency Tetrachromatic Pigments technology , M.A.C. was able to create a lipstick line of 24 unseen, intense colors.

Someone told me that they have a matte finish - insert angel voices singing - so I can already predict surviving on water and bread after being able to make it to the M.A.C. store again. To see all shades and their names, click below.

Do let us know which one is your favorite!

INFO & DETAILS:

The M.A.C. Liptensity collection is now available online and hits stores in October.
They sell for € 25 each.

Review // MAC 'The Matte Lip'

MACTheMatteLip4
When MAC announced that they would launch a line of 20 matte lipsticks, called The Matte Lip, I was literally over the moon. With The Matte Lip, MAC decided to put shades from previous, temporary collections into the permanent collection and also created new shades, both Matte and Retro Matte. And other shades were already part of the permanent collection before The Matte Lip was launched.

I saw them online, but hesitated to order them, because I wanted the chance to swatch them and all. I usually only order limited editions through the web. So I went on the hunt for The Matte Lip in stores, without any success. If I had the luck to find them, most shades were already sold out. I had given up on them for a while, but then I finally found them at a MAC counter during my recent citytrip to Zaragoza, Spain. And most shades were still available! Three of them came home with me and I decided to review them for you.

Review // Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer

CliniquePopLip1
Clinique rings in spring and summer with the launch of their Pop Lip Colour + Primer collection: 16 gorgeous, popping colors with built in primer that will provide your lips with a beautiful color and will nourish them at the same time. The colors are divided into the Nudes, the Tawnies, the Pinks and the Violets, so everyone is set to find at least one favorite!

The ever so sweet and kind ladies from Clinique sent me a Tawnie to review and I got another Tawnie and a Pink myself, which I will write about as well. But first, here's an insight to what Clinique has to say about the Pop Lip Colour + Primer

THE PRODUCT

A full lip color with built in primer that provides dramatic lips and comfort immediately. It contains shea butter and murumuru butter.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

* A deep, long-lasting color with a hybrid formula of lip color and primer, all in one.
* Guarantees a perfectly smooth and precise application, every time again.
* Does not dehydrate the lips and gives a creamy, silky smooth finish.

COVERAGE: Full coverage
FINISH: Silky smooth

I could live without any make up product for the rest of eternity, but my lipsticks and I are inseparable. For a while now, my bestie Dario has been wondering how many lipsticks one could possibly have (TONS! A LOT!), but I feel that a good lipstick can upgrade even the simplest of outfits; you'll never see me without. Since I always wear matte lipsticks (they dehydrate the lips like a mofo, though), I was curious to see and most importantly feel the difference. Plus, the lipsticks are Made In Belgium. Yes, in my tiny country! #proud #highfive

Are you as curious as I am? Click below to find out more.

The Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer collection is now available in stores ($ 18 / € 22,20).

P.S.: To share your popping moment, you can use #CliniquePop on your social media.

This product was sent to me by a PR company / brand.
This does not affect my opinion in any way.

I already showed you one of these lipsticks in the last video I posted (HERE); I originally wanted to show you both of them, but I accidentally deleted an entire scene, oops. I got them at the opening of the & Other Stories store in Antwerp (of which I wrote an article about HERE) and they have been waiting to be reviewed ever since.

Curious to see what I think about them?

Beauty // Dolce & Gabbana 'Sicilian Jewels' Collection, Part II

DSC04524
Remember when I was freaking out about the Dolce & Gabbana 'Sicilian Jewels' collection here? And how I said I would try to do anything to get my hands on my favorite items? After calling stores in Belgium and the Netherlands without any luck, my friend Karen told me that the collection was available online at Harrods. Needless to day that we immediately placed an order, even if I rarely buy something online.

I decided to go for the red and purple lipstick, called 'Rubino' and 'Ametista'. Red because I'm addicted to any type of red lipstick (you can never go wrong with red, never ever) and purple because it's one of my favorite colors in general. Simple as that.

I tried both of them today and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on them, especially on the purple one.

Beauty // Guerlain

I was sent these Guerlain goodies by the sweet people at LVMH as a Christmas gift and even though I'm not the best beauty blogger out there, I wanted to share this with you. Among other things, like adorable mini Dior towels, I got to try out two lipsticks from the Rouge de Guerlain-collection and their famous Météorites Perles

Lipsticks & Powder Pearls: GUERLAIN thanks to LVMH

Beauty // Clinique 'Runway Coral' Limited Edition Lipstick

Photobucket
After talking about this gorgeous shade of lipstick here, I decided to give myself a little treat and order it online. Especially since it's limited edition and I knew I'd regret it if I didn't get it. I waited for the lipstick to arrive impatiently - damn you, holidays (just kidding, I love you) - and knew I made the right choice when I opened the beautifully wrapped Clinique gift box.

The color is still kinda coral, but has a more pinkish shade instead of orange and I'm quite happy about that. We all know that orange lipstick makes your teeth look yellow and we don't want that, now do we? So I decided to try out the lipstick for the first time yesterday and even the boyfriend approved (très important, even though he wasn't allowed to kiss me the entire evening. Sorry, booboo.)

I'm very loyal when it comes to beauty products: I refuse to wear any other perfume than Miss Dior Chérie and as for lipsticks, I only wore Chanel Rouge Coco (you know, the color Vanessa Paradis is flaunting in her Rouge Coco campaign) and a super red Chanel lipstick for special occasions up 'till now. I guess there's no harm in adding a third favorite to my lipstick 'collection', if you can call it that. This color is perfect for Spring ànd Summer and will be seen on my lips a lot. Ye be warned!

I got some questions from my readers, asking if the lipstick makes your lips feel dry and the answer is ... *drumrolls* ... NO! It has a very creamy texture, even if you decide to dip your lips on a tissue, and it stays on super long. I went to a baby shower and a birthday party yesterday - meaning: lots of food and drinks - and I only had to retouch my lips once. And that's because I'm a freak when it comes to retouching my lips. I always think the lipstick has come off, even if it's not, which means I put on way more than necessary. It's all in my head.

For those who want to order the lipstick, just click here. Hurry, 'cause these babies are selling fast!
