Fashion News // Kate Moss Turns 40

KateMoss3

One of my style icons is celebrating her 40th birthday today. The model who was scouted at 14 years old and managed to break through with a height of 1m70 (or 1m67, as some sources say -- Will we ever know for sure?). The one who dated two of my favorite men: Johnny Depp and Pete Doherty. The one and only who gained ten times more success after being caught snorting cocaine. The good friend who never stopped believing in the fallen designer John Galliano and let him design her wedding dress, even when the whole fashion industry casted him out. The rebel who knows that rules are meant to be broken, but is also a loving mother and wife at the same time.

The great Kate Moss.
Happy birthday.

Fashion News // Kate Moss For Eleven Paris S/S '14

Move over, Daisy Lowe. Chosen as the new face for Eleven Paris' S/S '14 campaign, Kate Moss shows fellow modeling pals once again who still owns the #1 spot in the world of British it-girls and supermodels and why. Yes, I'm also talking to you, Delevingne. Queen Moss is looking fierce and is definitely here to stay for a while longer.

First Playboy's 60th anniversary cover and now Eleven Paris' S/S '14 campaign... Kate Moss is still hot and happening, even at the age of 39. The idea behind the campaign is to take us back to the 90s,  mixing grunge and sporty chic all together. Here's what co-founder and joint chief executive of Eleven Paris, Dan Cohen, had to say about their new model / face / muse / insert another synonym here:

"For us, Kate Moss was a natural choice to be the new face of the brand. Her unique style and her own close relationships with the music industry perfectly sum up what we always try to convey through our collections."

A short and clear message, of which I can do nothing else but say: "I agree!" The campaign was shot by Craig McDean - he might not ring a bell immediately, but he worked with Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior, just saying - and the shot above is my absolute favorite. Not only does la Moss look fabulous with simple hair and make up, but that jacket she's wearing... Love at first sight! You all know I love myself some leather and the red and black combo is absolutely divine. That pretty thing is going straight on top of my wish list.

What do you think about Eleven Paris' choice?

London Calling

After I posted my previous post regarding Kate Moss,
Femke from Me And My Ego, commented: 'I love her husband!'.

Unfortunately, Kate's cute man, Jamie Hince (see the picture above),
wasn't on the picture, so Femke and I started to share our favorite
pictures of him, and other cute English men, via Facebook.

Ok, I admit, most of these men aren't THAT handsome, but it's
their style which makes them look goo-ood.
A tight jeans, a nice jacket, preferably a scarf / hat ... and voilĂ ,
there you have it.

I know not every woman will appreciate this type of style, but I
love it -- So I told Femke: 'I have to get to London ASAP!'.

So ladies, I want to know: Hit or miss?

P.S.: My exams will end this Friday, and I'll start my two-week
internship at Maasmechelen Village - an outlet centre - next Monday.
So I'm sorry if there will be a lack of (outfit) posts for the coming days,
but I will do my best!

I Love You, Kate

How's it possible that Kate Moss is able to look so effortlessly
chic in everything she wears?

I love the outfit on the picture above, which she wore to celebrate
her birthday. It's perfect, not too much.
Oh, what I'd give to ask her how she puts together an outfit every
morning. I'd love to know her secret.

What do you think of her outfit?
Hit or miss?

Longchamp

Here's another bag that's making her first debut on my blog:

The Longchamp Legend-bag.

It was my first 'designer' bag and it was a present from my mom.
She bought it for me on a trip to Lille.
I remember I had a hard time choosing between this bag and a red Valentino-bag,
but I'm glad I chose this one - You can never go wrong with black.

The shape reminds me of a doctor's bag,
it's just too bad that the bag isn't that steady anymore as it used to be.
The shape has grown out of it a little.
And I must admit that the bag itself is already a bit heavy to carry, you grow arm muscles carrying
this bag and everything in it for an entire day! :D

Kate Moss has the same bag - As you may know, she was and still is Longchamp's
muse (and now also their co-designer).

I've always been an 'I love gold'-girl.
But when I saw this shiny, silver tank top, I immediately fell in love.
I love the 'wrinkly' effect.
I bought some matching ballerina flats too.

P.S.: Now you can see how terribly short my hair is.
I still have to get used to it! :(

Tank top: RUE BLANCHE // Jeans: H&M // Flats: ZARA // Bag: LONGCHAMP LEGEND

Shark Attack Loves... // Kate Moss a.k.a. Catwoman

Wow, I absolutely love Kate Moss' outfit! There are few people who can pull this off, and of course, Kate's one of them. This woman's just a fashion chameleon, and I'm totally loving it.
