Money VS Budget // Chloé VS New Look

ChloéVSNewLook
I've been eyeing Chloé's Drew bag for quite a while now, but unfortunately, my bank account won't allow me to spend 1200 bucks at once. One of my favorite bloggers posted a shop log on YouTube and when she showed her new New Look bag, a new Money VS Budget post was born! As you may know, I only show cheaper items which were inspired on an it-item and aren't an exact copy. And the New Look bag is exactly that, isn't it? Plus, it comes in other fun, summer proof colors as well.

You can shop the New Look bag HERE and the Chloé Drew bag below:

Outfit // Paradise Cities

Chanel16
Remember this dress by Sugarhill Boutique? When I was cleaning out my closet a couple of weeks ago, I found the matching blouse hidden underneath a pile of clothes. The weather gods pleased us with tons of sunshine the past couple of days; the perfect opportunity to wear this blouse for the first time. The collar and print are too adorable: I've been lucky enough to have visited Paris and New York already, which means that I have had the chance to see the Eiffel Tower and the Statue Of Liberty with my own eyes. However, the Taj Mahal in Agra and the pyramids in Gizeh are still on my to visit list as well.

As for the ripped jeans: I've been living in them for the past two months. They are very high waisted, which is perfect for my figure. The Chloé sunnies had been tucked away into one of my drawers for way too long and my Boy bag by Chanel has been glued to my shoulder ever since I got it. Let this be a warning, because you're going to see this fella a lot in the time to come. The Chanel sandals are also making a debut on the blog, but I didn't take a close up shot of them due to my irrational fear / phobia / disgust of feet. You can have a detailed look at them here

Outfit // Fresh Popcorn

FillesAPapaFreshPopcorn7
These pictures were taken in Antwerp by Annebeth before an event. It was one of the first sunny days of the new year, so I decided to finally wear the Fresh Popcorn shirt by Filles À Papa that I got a while ago. My dad hates it, but I think it's too cool. Filles À Papa can do nothing wrong for me -- literally. I decided to combine it with two other items that I hadn't worn in a while: the Stella McCartney Falabella bag that my mom got me as a graduation gift and my beloved Chloé Susanna boots.

I've been quite happy for the past couple of days. Q-Music has been playing the Top 500 From The 90s non stop on the radio and it brings back so many memories! It got me dancing and singing all day long, to the point that it's driving my friends crazy. I also got tickets for the I Love The 90s party next month. Peter Andre and Hanson are going to perform. I repeat: PETER ANDRE AND HANSON ARE GOING TO PERFORM! I used to have a major crush on Peter Andre when I was in my early teens and everyone has danced and sung to MMMBop at least once. Don't you dare to deny it. I'm so excited and I'm already thinking about my 90s outfit; big hoop earrings, super dark lipliner, pink eyeliner, high wasted jeans ... It's so difficult to choose just one 90s trend. What's your favorite memory / trend / song ... from the 90s?

I'M WEARING:

Jacket: BERSHKA // T-Shirt: FILLES À PAPA // Jeans: LEVIS // Shoes: CHLOE // Bag: STELLA MCCARTNEY // Sunnies: TOM FORD

Outfit // Blues

OutfitBlues13
October has finally arrived! I absolutely love this month, especially when it comes to Halloween preparations. I think I'm going to dress up as Eric Draven from The Crow this year. The movie is one of my favorites and the mystery surrounding Brandon Lee's death while filming it makes me love it even more. Leave out the baby blue faux fur coat in this outfit and I already have my costume - not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. Who / What will you be for Halloween?

The zipped leather pants and I were just meant to be; I fell in love head over heels when I spotted them at Zara last month. And the jacket reminded me of Sulley from Monsters, Inc., which was reason enough for me to add it to my closet as well.

Outfit // Homer Simpson

HomerSimpson11
After featuring his son Bart on my blog here and his wife Marge here, it's now up to another member of the Simpson family to make his debut on Shark Attack - Fashion Blog. This gloomy day (summer's over in Belgium, let me tell you) was made all better when I received this Eleven Paris X Colette shirt in my mailbox. You see, in honor of The Simpsons' 25th anniversary, the Parisian brand and iconic Parisian concept store teamed up to create a line of exclusive T-shirts starring the world famous family. I received one of Eleven Paris' super dope backnumber shirts: Homer 89. The Simpsons' first episode aired in 1989 and it's also my birth year, which makes it all extra cool. Plus, Homer is also one of my favorite ancient Greek poets and authors (the Iliad and Odyssey, anyone?).

The frosted quote on Homer's donut - "Can't talk. Eating." - could easily pass as mine and so I decided to match my lipstick to the pink frosting. I wouldn't be me if I didn't add leather and spikes and so I did. I love the contrast between the cute shirt and the rock 'n roll vibe in the rest of the outfit.

This surprise brightened this depressing day to the max, so thank you Listen Up PR (and especially Chloé) for this extremely kind gesture.

Outfit // Peplum

Peplum4
I never wore any peplum tops - I always thought they weren't my thing - but when I spotted this one at work, I immediately fell in love with it. The beaded collar adds the perfect amount of cuteness and innocence to every look, don't you think? Plus, I can finally show you my new Chloé 'Carlina' sunglasses in full glory. I just love how big and over the top they are. Move over, Nicole Richie!

On my left arm, I'm wearing two Loom bracelets that were made by a friend of mine; I don't have the patience to create one myself. They are made out of the colors of the Belgian and the Italian flag, which are both my nationalities. My parents are Italian, I was born in Belgium, so I'm both Belgian and Italian. Since Italy isn't competing in the World Championship any longer (and that's all I wish to say about it #Trauma), I'm giving my all to cheer for Belgium... Even though I think that the whole World Cup is a scam and that Brazil will win it. Mark my words. Anyway, the green / yellow bracelet was also a gift. A friend gave it to me as a souvenir from her trip to Barcelona. Too sweet.

I wore this look for a shopping trip to Dusseldorf with my parents on a cloudy, yet warm day. My dad was waiting in the car while we were shooting this look, poor thing.

New // Chloé 'Carlina' Sunglasses

ChloéCarlina
Remember how I wrote about my love for the Chloé 'Carlina' sunglasses here? Well, I can finally add 'her' to my inner circle. After looking for her all over Belgium and even in Rome - without any results - I decided hit the World Wide Web. Like seriously, how hard can it be to find a pair of sunnies? I'm usually quite paranoia when it comes to ordering stuff online, especially not-so-cheap sunglasses.

My mom convinced me to click the sunnies home and so I did. I ordered them on Otticanet and everything went amazing, thank God. I ordered, payed and could follow my package's every move via the FedEx-website.When I first laid eyes on Carlina, I totally fell in love and others seem to like her too, since I received tons of compliments already.

So, what do you think?

Shark Attack Loves... // Chloé 'Carlina' Sunglasses

Chloé
Did you ever look at Nicole Richie or the Olsen twins and thought that their sunglasses couldn't get any bigger? Well, think again. Meet 'Carlina', the star of Chloé's S/S '14 campaign. I have a feeling some of you will love her and many of you will hate her.

Big and dramatic vs. light and delicate. Total opposites and yet the perfect synonyms to describe Carlina. Even though Julia Stegner and Lou Doillon look fabulous in the shot above, they're not the real star here. How I would fit her into my looks? I'm thinking maxi dresses or denim shorts with a tank top, espadrilles and a fedora hat (preferably on the beaches of Ibiza). Or how about combining her with skinny jeans, a blazer and ballerina flats or heels for a day of meetings? To me, it's all possible. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for this one, now all I have to do is find her and hope she looks good in my company. ;)

I can't wait to read your thoughts on these sunnies.
Hit or miss?

The Chloé 'Carlina' sunglasses will be hitting Chloé boutiques and selected opticians in March 2014.
There will be 5 colors available.
Price: € 245

Outfit // Feline

DSC05718
I initially had 'Cause I'm a motherf*cking P.I.M.P.' in mind as a title - because that's how I felt at the moment - but then I realized that my humor isn't everyone's cup of tea, so I had to look for some other options. Then I thought: leopard print + cat eye sunnies... Kinda feline, right? And there you go. I'm totally in love with the denim / leopard combo. One of the best combo's ever, if you ask me.

These pictures were taken in Maastricht, just across the Dutch border and about 15 minutes from my house. I always feel at ease when I'm here, I just love this city. If you ever have the chance to visit it, please do. The people, the shopping, the atmosphere, the architecture... Everything's just right. Every time I'm there, I find a hidden spot that I hadn't noticed before. And I have a different background now, yayyy!

My mom and I spent the day strolling around the city, looking for some nice sneakers to work out. Always go out in style, even if you're at the gym. That's my motto! If you're following me on Instagram, you might have already seen my new kicks. If not, you can follow me by searching for 'Krizia_S'. We ended the day having a drink together: warm milk and honey for my mom and a chocolate spoon with marshmallows for me!

Shark Attack Loves... // Chloé Tulle Skirt

Chloé
After drooling over the Balmain F/W '13-collection here, I've fallen for another skirt-over-pants look again. I was picking up my daily inspiration on Tumblr, when I came across this image. Love at first sight! The asymmetrical cut, the dotted tulle and lace... Thumbs up! The lady above couldn't wear it in a more perfect way - in my opinion, of course. She's totally nailing it with a pair of skinny jeans peeking out underneath and an emerald green shirt -- gem colors will be another big hit for this fall and winter.

What do you think about it? Are we looking at a new, up and coming trend?

The skirt above is part from the Chloé F/W '13-collection and is, again, way out of my budget. You can shop it below and I also tried to find some more affordable options.

Outfit // Seeing Red

DSC04374
Finally, I managed to post this outfit! It was supposed to be online by noon, but the quality of my pictures were reduced to pure crap (pardon the language) while uploading them in Photobucket and Blogger. I've been noticing it for a while now - just check my previous posts - but it was really bad this time. Luckily, my fellow bloggers gave me tons of tips and advice, giving me the chance to fix the problem. Thanks, babies! Can you see the difference?

All of these problems and frustrations made me see red; to those who didn't study English in college: it means 'being angry'. We had to study tons of these expressions by heart and it looks like I did a nice job, since I still remember (most of) them. I thought it was the perfect blogpost title and it also matches my new jacket I received from Me Paris. It's a French brand and all the clothes are made in France. Even though most of the clothes aren't my style, this jacket totally is. I love the red and black pattern! The colors are perfect for fall and the pattern is a nice change from all the tartan prints popping up EVERYWHERE. Like seriously, I can't handle tartan anymore...

Shark Attack Travels // Ascoli Piceno: Day 4 + 5

 photo DSC01450_zps549972b1.jpg
The reason why I skipped 2 days of photographs is because I was stuck inside, collecting votes for the competition in which I could win a vintage Chanel-bag. My best friend Dario spent 3 days at my aunt's restaurant back in Belgium, asking every single client that entered to vote for me. He's such a sweetheart and I bought him a nice Thank You-gift, but I can't tell you what it is, because he reads my blog! I ended 2nd in the competition and I want to thank everyone who voted for me!

We went to Meletti to drink a crodino yesterday, which is a 100-year-old bar and used to belong to the Meletti family, famous for their anisette. After that, we went straight home. It started to rain again, so it wasn't fun to stay outside.

P.S.: Sorry for the repetitive bag and shoes. Flying with Ryanair comes with tons of restrictions, so I hate to limit myself to one bag and two pair of shoes (my Chloé boots and Chanel espedrilles). A nightmare for every blogger!

Outfit // Denim Touch

 photo DSC00714_zps3c1ec3f1.jpg
After feeling sorry for myself and my eye infection, I decided to stop wallowing and get back to outfit shooting again. As you can probably notice, it hasn't healed just yet, but at least I don't look like the Hunchback Of Notre Dame anymore. I don't really have that much to say... This weekend was rather emotional. They closed down the place where I worked for 5 years yesterday and saying goodbye to one of the best teams of colleagues in history was rather hard.

Anyway... I love the high waist / cropped pants combo with my Chloé boots - that you're probably already tired of. Just another outfit with the typical rock 'n roll touch that I love and for some reason, I immediately associated this outfit with London. I guess the British rock 'n roll culture is rooted in my heart big time now. It was time to take out my Stella McCartney Falabella bag again, which was a graduation gift for my mom. Being a firm believer of investing in designer bags: if you're looking for the perfect casual one for every day use, I'd highly suggest the Falabella.

P.S.: I love this pink Stella McCartney Falabella Python wallet - as seen in You Magazine - and couldn't help but think how awesome the black and pink combo would be.  #Love

New // Chloé Susan Boots

 photo DSC00652_zps7d6ecc3d.jpg
Yes, it has finally happened. I can die happy and peaceful now. The Chloé Susan / Susanna boots are mine now! I went to Amsterdam last Thursday, because I knew they were selling the Chloé Susan boots at De Bijenkorf and at Shoebaloo. I decided to go for black, because well... They're quite expensive, so I wanted to go for a classic and long lasting color.  I got the black with silver hardware ones, because it looks like the black with gold hardware are out of production. Bummer, but these will do just fine too.

I can already see myself wearing these with skinny jeans, shorts, dresses... I'm convinced I can combine them in multiple ways, which turns them into an investment rather than a season bound item. The boots are inspired by the winklepickers, a type of shoe that became popular in the 1950s and that were mostly worn by British rock 'n roll fans. The winklepickers, on their turn, are inspired by medieval footwear. As a history teacher, I find this all so interesting. Chloé first designed these shoes in 2008 in lambskin leather and they were sold out in no time. Due to that huge success, they decided to reissue them in 2011 / 2012 (but in calfskin leather this time).

I've been wearing the booties non stop ever since I got them and the pictures below were taken in Antwerp. I loved them with these cropped striped pants, while my dad found this one of my ugliest outfits ever, haha.

Anyway, if you're planning on purchasing your own pair of Chloé Susan boots, I suggest you go a size down. I'm usually a size 39, but they almost fell from my feet when I was walking around the store. A size 38 fitted perfectly. I think it's important to know if you're planning to order them online, like here on LuisaViaRoma, which is a highly trusted luxury online shop.

Shark Attack Needs Help // Chloé Susan Boots

 photo ChloeacuteCollage2_zps15419359.jpg
So, I've finally decided to get the Chloé Susan boots. After lusting for them for ages, I saved up enough money. The nearest place where I can get them is Amsterdam, where they are being sold at Shoebaloo. I'm planning a trip with my mom to the Dutch capital; I'm hoping we can already go this week.

Now, I've studied the Shoebaloo-website and came to the conclusion that they're selling the boots in 4 different colors: grey, powder pink / nude, baby blue and black. I initially wanted the black boots with golden hardware, but I don't think they're being sold anymore. I'm kinda liking all of these colors and I already know that I'll be in the store for a couple of hours because of my indecisiveness. Yeah, I know, it all depends on how they look in real life and on how they look at my feet.

But still... I'm curious. Which color would you get?

Outfit // In Front Of The Camera

Photobucket
It doesn't happen every day that someone follows you around with a camera, but it's exactly what happened to me today. An ex-class mate is studying journalism now and she's making a reportage about fashion bloggers. She asked me if she could follow me around on one of my 'blogging days' and voilà, I'm getting filmed while I'm typing this.

This is just a comfy outfit to work on my internship and go out for drinks with some friends tonight. The colors of my shirt matched these Chloé wedges very well and since I haven't worn them for ages, I decided it was the right time to take them out for a spin again. :)

As for the shirt: you all know that I'm a big fan of The Doors. I'm actually planning to marry Jim when I go to heaven (or hell?). Yes, I've got my future all figured out. ;)

Feature // Ella And Louise

Photobucket
Hey guys!

Time to show you a new feature, but guess what ... This time it's not me who got featured, but my sister Tiffany. She got featured on Ella And Louise, one of my favorite fashion blogs runned by Kim, Patricia and Marijs. 'The Story Of Her Shoes ...' I guess the title says it all. My sister talks about some of her favorite shoes and the story behind them. Let me tell ya, my sister's crazy when it comes to shoes. My favorite story is the one behind her Isabel Marant Willow sneakers. I'm not going to tell you what it's about, though. You can read it yourself HERE. Oh, and did I mention that I'm dying over her Louboutins in the first picture?

Do you have a crazy story about one of your pair of shoes? Did you spend your entire budget on a pair of boots, almost leaving you homeless and foodless after buying them? Or maybe you stalked every store in the country in order to find those perfect pair of pumps? Do share your stories in the comment box, I can't wait to hear them! :D

I'm on the hunt for a pair of booties right now, without any luck (for now). If you're a follower on Twitter, you might have an idea of which booties I'm talking about. You still don't know? Well, just click below...

New In My Closet

Today, I wanted to sleep in, getting some rest after my last exam - but my mom
persuaded me to go shopping in Maastricht. And boy, am I glad I went with her.

First thing I bought, is this Chanel 'Black Pearl'-nailpolish, which matches
perfectly with my sister's necklace.

The second thing I bought... Well, see for yourself! :)
