Shark Attack Travels // Ascoli Piceno: Day 4 + 5

 photo DSC01450_zps549972b1.jpg
The reason why I skipped 2 days of photographs is because I was stuck inside, collecting votes for the competition in which I could win a vintage Chanel-bag. My best friend Dario spent 3 days at my aunt's restaurant back in Belgium, asking every single client that entered to vote for me. He's such a sweetheart and I bought him a nice Thank You-gift, but I can't tell you what it is, because he reads my blog! I ended 2nd in the competition and I want to thank everyone who voted for me!

We went to Meletti to drink a crodino yesterday, which is a 100-year-old bar and used to belong to the Meletti family, famous for their anisette. After that, we went straight home. It started to rain again, so it wasn't fun to stay outside.

P.S.: Sorry for the repetitive bag and shoes. Flying with Ryanair comes with tons of restrictions, so I hate to limit myself to one bag and two pair of shoes (my Chloé boots and Chanel espedrilles). A nightmare for every blogger!

Outfit // California 66

 photo DSC00806_zps753a3566.jpg
I got this shirt at the new Sandro and Maje store at Maasmechelen Outlet Village, which has become my new favorite store in town as soon as I walked in. Two of my favorite brands at a major discount? It can't get better than that.

This shirt has 'summer' written all over it, with the number referring to the historic Route 66. You know, the route that starts in Chicago and goes all the way to Los Angeles? It's been a dream of mine to go on a road trip through the USA and even if it's still a dream for now, I hope I can make it come true some day. In the meanwhile, this shirt will do just fine. I'll be going on a 10-day trip to Italy in a couple of weeks to visit some family and go back to the place where I used to spend every summer. It's been 10 years since the last time I've been there, so it's needless to say that I'm excited. Plus, I might be going to Santorini this summer with some friends, so things are looking good so far.

I paired this shirt with my favorite leather jacket that I've worn to death (it used to be pitch black when I bought it) but that I just can't say goodbye to, some fake diamond earrings to bling things up, my purple jelly flats and my purple Balenciaga bag. Matchy matchy, but not too much.

P.S.: Shark Attack has been nominated to win a She Style Award. If you think my blog deserves to win, you can vote for me HERE by clicking on 'Breng je stem uit' underneath my picture (Shark Attack blog), enter your email address and a verification code and to click on 'Bevestig je stem'. The whole process literally takes 1 minute of your time and it would mean the world to me. Thanks!

Wearing one of my new favorite items in my closet: this pink and silver treaded shirt I found at Zara. I love the cut, the shape, the colors and the fact that it has a teeny tiny Missoni-print if you look closely. I paired the shirt up with a rather simple outfit, so that the shirt doesn't get blocked out by something else. These pictures were taken before my trip to Brussels, where I had a lunch date with Aureta. You'll see pictures of my stay in Brussels in my next post.

I bet you're thinking: "Is she wearing those sunglasses AGAIN???"
Yes, because I have a major crush on them and I wish I could wear them all the time. Today, a boy even asked me if he could touch the sunglasses, giving me a whole speech on why he loved these glasses that much. It was so cute. :D

The sun was shining today - LOVE - and I immediately took out my embellished
jacket by Pinko. The embellishment is so delicate, but I can't stand to see
this jacket hanging in my closet if I get a chance to wear it.

Any thoughts about it?

I spent the day with my grandfather -- That's him on the last picture. A lot
of people say we look a lot like each other, something I'm really proud of!

With everything happening in Japan right now, I realize once more that I
shouldn't take anything for granted and that I should enjoy  every moment I
spend with my loved ones...

What did you do on this sunny day?

Buying something on a shopping day doesn't always have
to be the most satisfying part.

Today, I went to Antwerp with my mom. I ended up buying
nothing, but it was still one of the best days we spent
together:

talking, laughing, walking around the city ...

Today I wore an outfit created around some classics,
like (my sister's) trench coat and my Chanel-bag.

To me, it doesn't always have to be over-the-top.

P.S.: I accidentally changed something in the settings
of my camera, so some of the pictures are smaller
than the other ones.

I'll fix it ASAP!

The Devil Wears Prada

My one and only purchase from my shopping trip to Düsseldorf last
Saturday: these patent leather flats by Prada.
When I saw similar ones on Kate Moss here, I immediately fell in
love.

This is the outfit I wore to my internship at Maasmechelen Village
today -- simple chic, so that it wouldn't be too much with the
shoes.

I know that these shoes might not be everyone's cup of tea,
but I love them (obviously).
And I also know that these pictures are not the best, but it was
the first time my mom took pictures with my digital reflex camera,
and well, lets just say that she wasn't used to using this type of
camera. :D

Have a lovely evening!

Plaid & Classics

No 'full body'-pictures today, since I still have a cold which makes me look like
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. ;)
So, here are a couple of pictures which show you parts of today's outfit.

A tomboy-ish outfit mixed with some 'classics', like my Chanel-bag and YSL Arty-ring.
I also wore some heels to still look a little bit girly.

Have a great day, everyone!

Mad Hatter

I finally bought a more decent camera, and here are the first results.
I can really notice quite some improvement in the quality of the pictures, can you?
I'm still learning, though...
I bought the Sony Alpha 290, and it's very easy to use, which is perfect for
beginners like me.

This isn't a 'total' outfit post, but when I saw this hat at H&M,
I immediately saw Mary-Kate Olsen in front of me, who is a frequent 'hat wearer'.

I found the black Converse All Star during the sales at a very good price. I couldn't
resist buying them, since they're the perfect shoes for a casual outfit or to go to
school - the infrastructure at my school makes it impossible to wear heels. :D

Now I'm off studying *sigh*.
I wish you all a great weekend!

x Krizia

P.S.: Sorry for the overload of pictures, but I was so happy about the results,
I couldn't choose. :)

Come On Baby, Light My Fire.

fear death. Life hurts a lot more than death. At the point of
death, the pain is over. Yeah,  I guess it is a friend."

Purple Rain

Hi guys!

The sun was shining today, but it wasn't very warm,
so I decided it was the perfect opportunity to take out my Burberry-trench coat again.

I love total black outfits with one killer item,
and I tried match my outfit with my purple Balenciaga.

By doing this, I matched two of my best investments ever:
the Burberry-trench coat and Balenciaga-bag.
Both aren't that cheap, but totally worth their money.

My mom made these picture, and as you can tell, she isn't the best photographer. :D
I had to cut some pictures to make them better.
But I'm glad I had someone who wanted to take some pictures,
since the ones I take myself aren't that much better. ;)
