New // COS Lace Bralette + Inspiration

COSLaceBra
Picture // Shark Attack - Fashion Blog

I'm usually not the one to follow (blogger) trends blatantly, but this one slowly grew on me. A couple of weeks ago, I was convinced permanently when I walked into the COS store in Antwerp and saw this lace beauty hanging right in front of me. When I tried it on, it made me realize that I should put more effort in wearing some nice lingerie. I do not own pretty, matching sets and always limit myself to basic black, white or nude bras and panties.

A lace bralette can pull even the simplest of outfits to a higher level; let it peak out underneath a shirt or blouse in a subtle manner or go all the way by wearing it with a cut out, loose tank top. You might want to look out with the last option, though. Most of the time, your nipples are visible through the lace -- just in case to avoid a nipple slip.

Click below to see some of my favorite looks that include lace bralettes and some tips on where to shop them.

Outfit // Space Bound

Ain't got much to say today. Spring finally decided to show its pretty face yesterday and it was the perfect opportunity to take my new Balenciaga glove sandals for a quick spin. Actually, all my B-pieces fit together perfectly - or at least for me - so that's how this outfit was created. I added my mom's necklace for a little bling and that's about it.

I'm not going to bore you with some useless writings, so have a nice day, y'all!

Outfit // Denim Touch

 photo DSC00714_zps3c1ec3f1.jpg
After feeling sorry for myself and my eye infection, I decided to stop wallowing and get back to outfit shooting again. As you can probably notice, it hasn't healed just yet, but at least I don't look like the Hunchback Of Notre Dame anymore. I don't really have that much to say... This weekend was rather emotional. They closed down the place where I worked for 5 years yesterday and saying goodbye to one of the best teams of colleagues in history was rather hard.

Anyway... I love the high waist / cropped pants combo with my Chloé boots - that you're probably already tired of. Just another outfit with the typical rock 'n roll touch that I love and for some reason, I immediately associated this outfit with London. I guess the British rock 'n roll culture is rooted in my heart big time now. It was time to take out my Stella McCartney Falabella bag again, which was a graduation gift for my mom. Being a firm believer of investing in designer bags: if you're looking for the perfect casual one for every day use, I'd highly suggest the Falabella.

P.S.: I love this pink Stella McCartney Falabella Python wallet - as seen in You Magazine - and couldn't help but think how awesome the black and pink combo would be.  #Love

Outfit // An American Poet

Photobucket
Another day, another Jim Morrison-shirt. I spotted this one at H&M's men's section and I couldn't resist taking it home. I had to explain my mom what was so different about this one (since I already own a couple of Jim Morrison-shirts) and I simply answered: "The colors. And I love his music and poems, so what's the big deal?".

Anyway, here's a better look on the graduation gift I received from my mom: Stella McCartney's Falabella bag. It is, together with my Balenciaga, the most practical bag I own. I've been wearing it non-stop ever since my mom gave it to me during our shopping trip in Milan. I guess I have a new love.

Have a nice evening, y'all!

Outfit // Baby Shower

Photobucket
No worries, there are no mini sharks on their way. Picked out this outfit for my nail stylist's baby shower this afternoon. This sequined blazer was tucked away in my closet for too long, so I decided to take it out for a spin again. Now all I need is a whip and one of those big, high hats and I'm ready to start my career as a female circus director.

I'd also like to thank you for the get well wishes you left in the comment box of my previous post. So sweet! As you can tell from the radiant freshness beaming from my face, I'm not healed 100 % yet, but at least I'm able to stand on my feet again. I apologize in advance for the less glamorous face compared to my previous outfit post. God, such a difference.

I'd also like to mention that I absolutely hate taking outfit pictures inside. They always seem kinda blurry. Am I the only one this happens to? It's raining cat and dogs outside, so I don't really have any other choice. Plus, I'm not going to complain about the weather too much. I hate it when people complain about the weather. (I'm tired of all the antibiotics, that's why I'm being such a bitch, sorry.)

Have a nice weekend, y'all!

Outfit // Peter Pan

Photobucket
Wearing a Peter Pan-collar and a Tinkerbell-bun -- I got my clothing and hair inspiration from my two favorite characters out of one of the best Disney-movies ever. The sun is still shining these days, giving me the chance to wear this shirt designed by my friend and co-blogger Tiany Kiriloff. This shirt was one of the first items that caught my eye when I had the opportunity to have a preview at her collection last spring.

If it weren't for the cute collar and color, I'm not sure if I would have bought it. I also bought it in white, which is a basic item that goes with almost everything and will never ever go out of style. Because of the popping color of the shirt, I decided to keep the rest of the outfit simple.

Outfit // Bling Bling

Photobucket
A little bit of sunshine and no rain was enough for me to finally wear these glitter wedges I got during my holiday in Crete. While they look like killer machines, they are actually pretty comfortable. The high-wasted pants are my latest purchase. I got them at COS a couple of days ago. I wasn't too sure about them, but my mom persuaded me to get them. They're slowly starting to grow on me...

I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately, which also shows on these pictures - sorry for that. Some people asked me why I always look down on most of my outfit pictures, and to be honest:I really don't know why I do it. I guess it's my signature pose or something? :D

Remember, it's the last day to enter the Chanel give away HERE and to vote for me on the Bloggers' Wardrobe-comeptition HEREGood luck and please help me out one last time!

Outfit // Casual & Chic

Photobucket

Hi everyone!

Here are some quick shots of my outfit today. I decided to mix and match some casual and chic pieces. Casual because I have to study today, and chic because I also have an interview today. A friend of mine is studying journalism and she asked me if she could interview me, to which I said 'yes' of course.

I'm having the worst bad hair day today, so I decided to make a braid, or at least tried to. I'm really bad at trying new hairdo's, especially if I have to make them myself!

Have a nice day, everyone!

P.S.: I have absolutely no idea what's going on with my left leg on the last picture. :'D

New // Zara - H&M - COS

Photobucket

Yesterday, I went on a shopping trip to Antwerp with a friend and this is what I managed to score:

- A salmon pink blazer at Zara.
- A hot pink shirt at COS.
- Hippie like / Clog like heels at H&M.

I'm wearing the blazer right now and it's so ridiculously soft that I don't want to take it off anymore. The shirt will match perfectly with my See by Chloé-sandals. I've worn the heels all evening yesterday and they're so comfortable, you wouldn't even believe it!

And now... I have to start studying for my exam, which will take place on the 6th of June. I'll do my best to update the blog on a regular basis 'till then, but I'm not sure if I'm going to make it.

Have a nice day!
