Money VS Budget // Dior VS Zara

MoneyVSBudgetDiorZara
It's been a while since the last Money VS Budget post, but when I saw these black patent ankle boots with translucent heel at Zara, they immediately reminded me of the boots starring in the Dior Fall '15 fashion show. I couldn't find any prices on the Dior boots; they weren't mentioned on their website. So I guess it's best to visit a Dior store if you want to go for the real deal.

For more info about the Dior boots, go to their website or to your nearest Dior store.
You can shop the Zara boots on their website.

Personal // Instagram & Snapchat July 2015

InstagramJuly1
As you may have noticed, it's been a bit silent here for the past month. I decided to take a small break to clear my mind and figure out on where I want to go with my blog. I spent tons of time with family and friends and combined it brainstorming sessions as well. It was perfect to recharge my batteries and I'm full of inspiration and new ideas now.

You can have a sneak peek into my personal life on Instagram and Snapchat; my username on both is Krizia_S. Find some of my favorite pictures and moments of the month of July below.

Review // Dior Addict It-Line Eyeliner '879 It-Pink'

DiorAddictLiner8791
I love myself some eyeliner, especially when I go out. So when I saw the campaign pictures of the new Dior Addict It-Line Eyeliner in pink, I just knew I had to get my hands on one. I acutally got my hands on the last one at the Inno-store in Antwerp, so I'm just going to consider that as a sign.

What does it promise to do?

Fashion eyes: fabulous line vibrant color.
Easy, intuitive and addictive application. Get a bold, even and versatile line in one simple stroke for intense "doe-eyed" effect. Quick-drying. Rinsable: easy to remove with warm water or make up remover.

Of course, I couldn't go on using this eyeliner without writing a review about it. Curious to find out my opinion about it and to see the look I created with it? Just click, click, click below!

Outfit // Nike Max Thea

DSC08804
If you had told me that I'd be wearing Nikes incorporated in an outfit a couple of months ago, I probably would've looked at you with my best "Yeah Right" type of smirk on my face, eye rolling included. I never really got the trend / hype / whatever you want to call it, but I must say it most definitely tickled my curiosity.

When a super friendly fella from JD Sports mailed me, asking me if I'd like to choose a pair of the shoes they're offering on their website, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to find out what it is that everyone likes about wearing Nike sneakers combined every outfit possible: casual, chic, sporty or yet super feminine ... it seems globally accepted to wear Nikes with everything nowadays.

I decided to go for these white / grey / pink Nike Max Thea sneakers and threw them on for a day out with my mom. A pair of skinny jeans, a simple tank top and my lace bra (to add that girly touch, y'know?) seemed like the perfect, yet still kinda safe combo for losing my Nikerginity -- yes, I just invented that word. I can definitely see why everyone wears them, since they are extremely comfortable. It feels as if you're having super comfy cushions stuck on the bottom of your feet. However, I was a bit paranoid while wearing them, a feeling I rarely get when it comes to wearing clothes. I constantly kept asking my parents if I looked OK, if the sneakers matched my outfit, if they were 'me' or not.

I'll be honest: I think they are dope as hell, even though I still have the urge to wear them to the gym and to the gym only -- nothing wrong with that, right?  However, you never know; there's always a chance that you might see these Thea's on the blog more often.

Please Note: Even though Birkenstocks are also in the 'Acceptable To Wear With Every Outfit Imaginable'-section, you will never EVER see me wearing them. To those who do wear them: no hard feelings?

Outfit // Leather On Leather

To my readers who started school again: I wish you all the best for this new year! You might not believe me, but you're actually going to miss school at one point in your life, so enjoy it as much as you can.

As for the outfit: it's probably not everyone's cup of tea, but it was exactly what I had in mind when I found this leather pencil skirt at New Look. I think this is my favorite look up 'till now. Not very practical - no air and too much sweat - but definitely my thing. I never thought I'd dare to participate in the cropped-topped-bare-belly-trend, but these high waisted skirts are perfect to cover up most of your, uhm, flaws. ;)

Sorry for not moving too much from my spot, but my neighbors were all peeking through their windows or passing by 'on purpose' while shooting this outfit. Trying to keep low profile.

Outfit // Mötley Crüe

 photo DSC02076_zps7d8d8096.jpg
The sun is shining, I've been spending all of my time with friends and family. This is my first outfit post after breaking my ankle and recovering from it almost 2 months ago. Life's good lately. I've added a new band shirt to my collection: Mötley Crüe for the win! I got this top for only 3 euros during the sales. #Score

I really don't have that much to say this time. Just a comfy look with my most trusted trademarks: leather, studs, band shirts and red lipstick. Plus, I thought that my new Dior-sunnies would at a little touch of 'glam' to the outfit.

Thoughts?

New // Dior S/S '13 Sunglasses

 photo DSC02053_zpsbfeb8b51.jpg
I'm not going to write a whole post about Isabel Marant for H&M, since tons of blogs have already done it -- I should wake up earlier in the morning. That being said, I think this is the first time that I'm 100% excited for a H&M-collaboration and I'm so freakin' impatient to see what Isabel will do!

I received these awesome Dior sunnies yesterday and I couldn't be more excited about them. I fell in love with them when I first saw them in the Spring/Summer '13 runway show, got even more convinced when I saw the picture from the campaign below and was 100 % positive of allowing myself to fall in love when I opened the box.

However, when I tried them on and looked in the mirror, my first reaction was: "What the... These don't suit me at all." You see, because of the asymmetric color combination, the sunglasses have a very particular shape when you're wearing them. It's very difficult to explain, so I suggest to try them on if you get the chance. It took me quite some stares in the mirror to get used to them and now that I have, they are my new it-sunnies for this summer.

I've heard that there are only 20 selling points to purchase these Dior sunnies here in Belgium, so I advise you to act fast if they're on your wish list!

Beauty // 'Golden Jungle: Crocodile Leather Effect Nails' by Dior

Photobucket
The 'cracked effect' nail polishes have been among us for quite some time now, but for some reason, I always felt that they weren't my thing. While strolling around at Planet Parfum yesterday, I took a look at the Dior section and spotted the words 'Crocodile Leather Effect Nails'. Curious as I am, I asked the sales woman for more information and she told me that it was nail polish similar to those who cause the well known 'cracked' effect, but that the big difference was that this one would create "the crocodile skin effect" on my nails. I still didn't know what the hell she was talking about, but she definitely triggered something inside of me. Not really sure what to expect, I decided to buy the polishes anyway and asked my mom for help, since my nail polish applying skills aren't the best.

I found a tiny manual inside - thank God - and here's what I had to do:

1. Apply a base coat. Very important, children!
2. Apply a coat of the gold nail polish and wait a maximum of 2 minutes. The first coat should still be slightly wet when proceeding with step 3.
3. Apply a single thin layer of the khaki top coat. After several minutes, the khaki crocodile leather effect will progressively appear on top of the gold base coat.
4. Add a top coat. Very important too.

And so I did. I applied. I waited. And I freakin' loved the result!
All I've done for the past few hours is staring at my nails. Yup, I've got a new favorite.

Do you want to see the result too?

Outfit // Bad Hair Day

Photobucket
I totally thank God for letting me find this hat, since it's a total life saver every time I have a bad hair day -- As in, like, today. I decided to take my Isabel Marant Navajo / Renell pants for a spin again. I paid quite some money to get my hands on these babies, so I better get as much use out of them as possible. I opted to go for a casual, tomboyish look. My mom said that it looks as if I ran out of a Spanish Zorro movie. Totally loving it. I'm also wearing a Marlies Dekkers bra, but it's not visible in these pics. Bummer.

Some of my favorite items from the online web shop Shoeby, which has a free shipping service 'till 29 April. Unfortunately, it's only for Belgium, but I bet they'll expand it in the future. The half leather coat would fit my rock 'n roll soul perfectly, the red bag would be perfect to put all of my unnecessary stuff in, the sunnies have the best shape ever and I'm totally digging the dotted print on the sleeves of that blazer. So, if you're living in Belgium: start benefiting of the free shipping, 'cause Shoeby has the best affordable prices!

1. COAT: € 69,95
2. BAG: € 29,95
3. SUNNIES: € 6,95
4. BLAZER: € 49,95

NOTD // Dior Vernis 537 Riviera

Photobucket
Now, let me start by getting things clear first:
I am nowhere near to being a beauty blogger, but ever since I removed my artificial nails, I can actually start using my nail polish stack. As you can see, the artificial nails completely ruined my actual nails and as if that weren't enough, I thought it would be a great idea to remove the fake nails myself - As in biting / tearing them off. Now, there's no need to tell you that it was the worst idea I've ever had (see that poor pinky of mine?), but the damage is done and there's isn't really something I can do about it ... Except for trying to hide it with some nail polish. So I thought it'd be nice to show you my nail polish from time to time, because I can change it as much as I want to from now on. #HappyDance

My mom had some gift vouchers left, so I stopped by Ici Paris XL today and got me this Dior nail polish. I also got a new Chanel polish, but I'll show you that one in one of my next posts. I must admit that this is my first Dior nail polish ever. I do read some beauty blogs from time to time and most of the bloggers are quite pleased with its quality and the result. I decided to go for the 537 Riviera, which is an bright orange / peachy / I don't really know kind of color. I've had it with this gloomy weather, so I decided to bring some Spring into my life myself.

The Dior Vernis polishes have a large brush, which is a synonym to less stripes. Being a total loser at applying nail polish, this is always a plus. I added two coats - and totally smudging on my hands when I had to use my left hand to paint my right hand - and believe me, the result is still kinda okay if you know my relationship with nail polishes. I've also added a top and base coat, of course. The polish dried very quickly - Another plus, yay! I can't tell you about its durability yet, but if it's as good as everything else, I may have found myself a new favorite nail polish brand!

P.S.: Excusez-moi for the tired face. The only thing I did this week was preparing my internship and teaching a bunch of teenagers English and history. Only five weeks to go, hooray! Now, the kids I have to teach to are quite attentive and co-operative, I must say, but it's still a very demanding job. Teachers have gained my eternal respect from now on.
