Outfit // Wish You Were Here

Being the band shirt collector that I am - I own band shirts from Guns 'n Roses, Nirvana, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix ... to name a few - I was almost screaming of excitement when I saw this fringed, no-sleeved Pink Floyd band shirt. It only seemed natural to use the title of one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs as the title of this post.

The bracelet with the single skull was given to me by Maasmechelen Village during the Stijn Helsen store opening and I got the other one at a small jewelry shop. I'm a big fan of practically everything with skulls.

I'm wearing my new Zara booties I showed you in the previous post and I couldn't wait to wear it. I liked the pop of white in this all black outfit -- I think its kinda rock 'n roll. What do you think?

Detail // Bracelets

One of my New Year's Resolutions was to wear my jewelry more often. For some odd reason, I always buy jewelry, but never seem to wear them. I'm a big fan of mix and match, so I decided to wear three of my favorite bracelets together. I just hope that wearing them together won't cause too many scratches, especially on the Hermès bracelet. That one's sacred to me.

Outfit // Knitted

I finally got my hands on this knitted cardigan, designed by my friend and co-blogger Tiany Kiriloff. Some of you may remember Shark Attack attending the preview event of the Tiany Kirilove for Vero Moda-collection. This cardigan immediately caught my eye that day, and I'm glad to own it now. I'm usually not a big fan of winter clothes at all - and I don't own that many either - so this cardigan is a great addition to my winter closet.

The Aerosmith band shirt is one of my purchases during the Forever 21 store preview last week. I'm such a sucker for band shirts and every time I see one of my favorite bands, I must have it.

Feature // Forever 21 - The Skinny

Featured along two of my favorite friends / co-bloggers on Forever 21's official blog, also known as The Skinny. I'm still honored each and every time someone comes up, asking if they're allowed to take a picture of my outfit. Plus, it's a nice opportunity to show you what I wore to the F21-store preview, since the outfit-pictures I took weren't the best.

Event // Forever 21 Preview

One of the most talked about events in the Belgian blogosphere this year has to be the opening of the two F21-stores in Belgium: one in Brussels and one in Antwerp. Yesterday, I had the honor to have a preview of the F21-store in Antwerp (the official opening will take place this Saturday). 

I started the day with meeting up with my fellow bloggers Immanuel, Afrodite, Kim, Gilles and Stéphanie. We did some pre-shopping and had a delicious pizza at Da Giovanni. I think we set a new world record called 'Eating a pizza in the fastest way possible' or something, since we only had 10 minutes left to make it at the F21-store in time.

The store is H-U-G-E: it's a 5000 m², 3-level shopping paradise. I only had an hour to spend at the store, since I had to catch my train, so I bet I looked like a whirlwind running all over the place. I need to move to Antwerp ASAP. As for the clothes, there were a lot of ethnic / indian prints, gem colored items such as sapphire and amethyst, rock inspired items and much more. As for the curvy girls among us, they also have the Forever 21+ collection. A saleswoman told me that they deliver new items every day, and that they deliver every item only once, so they'll always have something new. 

My bank account's not going to like that...

Due to limited time and the unbelievable size of the store, it was hard to capture everything all in once. I hope my pictures will still give you somewhat an idea of the store, but it's up to you to discover what the F21-store really has to offer!

Event // Forever 21 Party

Yesterday, I got the honor to attend one of the most talked / tweeted about party of the last couple of months: the Forever 21-party. The party was hosted to celebrate the fact that two F21-stores will open in Belgium this summer (in Brussels and Antwerp). Some key words to describe the party: holograms, cocktails, music and a lot of bloggers. It was nice to see so many of my fellow bloggers / friends again.

The evening started with a fashion show for the press and VIP's, where we got to see a sneak peek of the  F21-collection. The only difference with a classic fashion show was the fact that the models were 'hologrammed' on stage. It was very hard to take pictures, so I decided to put a video I found on YouTube at the end of the post - it's a video of the hologram fashion show of the F21-party in Vienna. After the show, the winners of the Tumblr-contest joined the party. Teddiedrum took care of the music, but unfortunately I left the party just before their performance.

Event // Oona Press Days

Yesterday I went to the Oona Press Days with my friend Hille. After a big detour, thanks to the navigation system, we received the warmest welcome at Oona. 

After a yummy lunch, the event started with a very interesting meeting with the people of Groupon, who told us more about the company. I must admit I never heard of it before, but I'll definitely check it out now! It's difficult to explain what Groupon is actually about, but to put things short: it offers you discounts on various items, but their main focus is to give you a nice experience above all. On the second picture you can see a summary of the main focus of the company. 

When the meeting ended, we had a look at the showrooms. Here are some pictures of my favorite collections: River Island, Escada, Forever 21 and Essentiel. Hope you like them!
