Event // Stijn Helsen & Francis Ferent Opening @ Maasmechelen Village

Photobucket
Last Thursday, I got invited to two new store openings at Maasmechelen Village, the outlet shopping place to be if you're around: Stijn Helsen and Francis Ferent

Lets start with Stijn Helsen. His name might not ring a bell just yet, but this Belgian (born and raised) fella has quite a résumé: after studying at L'Instituto Marangoni in Milan, he was a freelancer at Vivienne Westwood and Valentino. Afterwards, he contributed to designing the Spiderman and Pirates Of The Caribbean costumes and provided A-list celebs such as Robbie Williams, Hugh Grant, Matt Dillon, Keanu Reeves and Lenny Kravitz of an outfit. Quite something, huh?

After opening his flagship stores in Hasselt, he now turns to Maasmechelen Village to run an outlet store. I was very honored to be a part of it. It's always great to see a Belgian designer expanding and developing his brand. Our Belgian designers don't always get the credit they deserve.

WARNING: Two store openings equals picture overload

Hi everyone!

Notice anything different? Apart of wearing my contacts again - I do still wear my glasses, though - I decided to try something different with my hair. Inspired by Mary-Kate Olsen in this picture, I decided to try out her hairdo ... And I kinda like the result! Do you? It's also the perfect way to hide the left side of my head / hair, which I shaved last Spring and is growing back now, making it a total disaster.

This kimono-like blouse is one of my favorite pieces in my closet. Even if I like leather, skulls and everything 'rock-ish', I still am a girl, so I like girly things from time to time too. ;) The clutch was a birthday gift and I never got around to wear it, until now (obviously).

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this hairdo. :)

New // Marc by Marc Jacobs Goodies

Hi everyone!

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have read that I went to Maastricht to  do some pre-birthday shopping with my aunt. My birthday isn't 'till this Saturday, but since my aunt owns a restaurant, she hasn't got that much free time to go out. We had a lot of fun spending some one on one quality time together. When we got to Aim, my aunt bought me something which I was on my wish list for quite some time now. Aim sells brands such as Marc by Marc Jacobs, Patrizia Pepe, See by Chloé ... and is definitely worth a visit if you're in Maastricht.

Do you want to see what my aunt got me?

Outfit // Casual & Chic

Photobucket

Hi everyone!

Here are some quick shots of my outfit today. I decided to mix and match some casual and chic pieces. Casual because I have to study today, and chic because I also have an interview today. A friend of mine is studying journalism and she asked me if she could interview me, to which I said 'yes' of course.

I'm having the worst bad hair day today, so I decided to make a braid, or at least tried to. I'm really bad at trying new hairdo's, especially if I have to make them myself!

Have a nice day, everyone!

x Krizia

P.S.: I have absolutely no idea what's going on with my left leg on the last picture. :'D

Outfit // Contradiction

Photobucket

A casual outfit to show my family who came from Italy around here and at the same time the perfect opportunity to wear my new Marc by Marc Jacobs Mouse flats! I thought it would be funny to wear the flats with this shirt, causing a bit of contradiction. Nevermind, Mr. Jacobs, you know I love you...

New // Marc By Marc Jacobs Mouse Flats

The only thing I bought in Paris: the famous Mouse Flats by Marc Jacobs. I was planning to buy a new Chanel or Balenciaga-bag, but due to lack of time and choice, I decided not to. I'd rather save up some more and wait a bit longer until I really find a bag worth buying.

I already wore these flats a couple of times and already got a lot of compliments, even from the boys! I know these flats aren't everyone's cup of tea, but I find them adorable yet subtle.

Have a great day!

The Color Purple

Channeling my inner Oprah with the title of this post, but it was the first thing
that popped up my mind when I noticed all of the purple items my sister and I own.

Above, my Versace shoes, which only appeared on the blog once and which I'll have
to wear more often.

The Bags

Hi everyone!

A lot of you asked me if I could do a post on my bag collection,
and I've finally found the time to take some pictures of my bags.
School is demanding a lot of my time right now,
but I'm doing my best to post as much as I can!

These bags aren't all mine,
I also included those of my mom and my sister,
since we were each other's bags often.
The advantages of living with women who are all interested in fashion. :D

P.S. As you can see, I'm not the best photographer, but I'm working on it! ;)

P.P.S: Prepare yourselves for a picture overload! :D

What's In My Bag?

I always love to read other bloggers 'Whats in my bag'-posts,
and I decided it was time to write one myself.

Editorial // Disney Fashion Designers For Elle Spain

I was very excited when I saw this editorial published in the April issue of Elle Espana. Even though I'm 20 years old right now, I'm still a big Disney-fan - especially of the old movies. I've been to Disneyland about 9 times and I would go back in a heartbeat! I still remember buying a Snow White-dress, pink princess slippers, a Cinderella wand, a velvet pink Minnie Mouse diary, having breakfast with all of the Disney characters ... My parents spent fortunes there, just to keep me satisfied.

The editorial shows famous Disney-characters as famous fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano and Donatella Versace.

Enjoy!

Fashion Show // Louis Vuitton RTW F/W 2010

Paris Fashion Week is coming to an end and Marc Jacobs had the honour to close off the Fall fashion shows with Louis Vuitton. When I saw the models strutting the runway, the first thing that popped up in my mind was:

'They look like modern Grease girls!'

Grease has always been one of my favourite movies, not only for the catchy songs, but also for the clothes they're wearing. And, I must admit, John Travolta looked damn good during the Grease period!

Another thing I loved, was the fact that Mr. Jacobs chose beautifully curved models to show the pieces. He even picked some Victoria Secret-models, such as Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio. The last model to come up the runway was Elle Macpherson, a.k.a. The Body, and I must say: She looks absolutely stunning!

P.S.: Is that Pixie Geldof sitting front row???

Video // Lara Stone For Louis Vuitton

(Source: Grazia)

Here's a video my sister found. It's a behind-the-scenes-video at Louis Vuitton, during the photoshoot with Lara Stone for the Spring 2010 campaign. It's nice to see that they aren't using a size 0-model, but a real woman with curves. I think Lara is beautiful, she has something mysterious. I love this campaign way more that the one with Madonna. And Mr. Jacobs is looking as gorgeous as ever!
Enjoy!

Shark Attack Loves... // Men With Birkins

I guess Victoria Beckham isn't the only one who's into Birkin bags.

Check out Marc Jacobs and Pharrell Williams with their very own babies. I mean... How cool is this? No way these men would ever give you a lecture for spending too much money on bags!

And by the way...

Dear Mr. Pharrell Williams...
The Hermès Birkin bag was NOT made for you to step on. Please take your feet off that beautiful treasure or hand it over. And you can take that grin off your face, we can see for ourselves that you're holding two Birkins at the same time.
