Fashion // Get Ready For Festival Season

CoachellaCollage
Festival season is upon us and I couldn't be happier. I managed to get my hands on a ticket for Pukkelpop, which is a festival near my home town and which I attend every year. This time, it was a bit harder, though. The tickets were sold out as soon as they were released and I was kinda heartbroken, because Linkin Park will perform there and I was a big fan as a teenager. They released extra tickets afterwards and I was too late again; sold out in 2 minutes and it left me heartbroken even more. And then they released another 1000 tickets and I finally got one! Linkin Park, here I come!

Even though the festival isn't until August, I'm already brainstorming on what to wear. Each year, I browse through pictures of celebrities that attended Coachella for inspiration. Coachella is on my bucket list big time and I hope to get there one day (soon). This year, it was all about fringe, mini or maxi skirts, cropped tops and tiny cross body bags. I thought it would be fun to collect some of my favorite Coachella 2015 looks and to also show you where to shop them. I tried to limit myself to well known, affordable websites such as Asos, Boohoo, River Island and Topshop.

Are you planning to attend any festivals this summer? If so, which one(s)?
Happy shopping!

Outfit // Foulard

SharkAttackFashionBlogFoulard10
Some quick shots of what I wore for meeting up with my friends to do some drinks. I ordered this foulard / scarf / whatever you want to call it on Asos a while ago and never got around to wear it; until now. My friends compared me to a dog, a farmer AND asked me if I had a hickey that I wanted to hide, but I think it adds a little extra touch to the look, don't you? The Balmain-shirt is a recent purchase and even though I usually don't like big logos on my clothes, I think this one's cute. It has some cool details on the shoulder, which I forgot to photograph. Oopsie.

Before I forget: I'm sorry for not looking into the camera very often in these photos. If you don't pose right while wearing this scarf (a.k.a. looking straight into the camera), there will be some major double chin alert. Or maybe I just have one, that's possible too.

While visiting my favorite shoe stores and websites, I noticed that a lot of them have one thing in common: a thick, heavy chain on the front or on the back. I thought it would be fun to put some of my favorites in one collage. Last week, I had the chance to pick out a pair of Sam Edelman shoes and I went for the black booties in the middle in the bottom row: suède, leather and a gold chain on the back. I'm totally in love with them and I can't wait for them to arrive!

Trend // Jelly Beach Sandals

JellySandals1
KARTELL // UNKNOWN // SEE BY CHLOE

What is it with 'ugly' shoes becoming the it-item out of nowhere? You're now a fashion outsider if you don't own a pair of Birkenstocks (you can ban me to the deepest pits of hell, but you'll never see me wearing them), the Adidas slippers and white socks combo is no longer a taboo (read all about it here) and it looks like the (in)famous jelly beach sandals are making a comeback again too!

We all know them and we all had them: jelly sandals that our parents got us whenever they planned a trip to the seaside. They were - or still are - perfect to walk over that damn hot sand like a boss and protected your feet of everything sharp or icky laying on the bottom of the ocean; I'm taking sea shells and sea weed. And the best part? They came in every color possible, making sure you could find a pair that matched your bathing suit perfectly. Aaah, so many memories.

I've been a fan of jelly sandals since forever. I got the flashy, almost blinding, pink jelly sandals by See By Chloé four years ago (see here) and a second pair by Kartell followed quickly (see here). But the original, iconic jelly beach sandal has been present my whole life: my parents got me a baby yellow pair to walk the beaches of Italy as a little kid, I then got the see through pair in the middle during my stay in Sicily due to rocky beaches that hurt like a motherf*cker and also wore that very pair to several festivals. They survive every weather condition, believe me. If they're dirty, just take a water hose, spray some water over them and they're as good as new. Oh, and they're super cheap.

That being said, I know that you'll either love this trend with all your heart, or hate it with every bone in your body. I think the jellies are cute, easy, fun and also think that they add a dose of cuteness and innocence to every look. I've collected some pictures for you to get some inspiration and will also tell you where you can shop them.

What do you think? I can't wait to here your thoughts on this one!

Shark Attack Video // Introduction + New ASOS Clothes

Sooo, I'm excited and extremely nervous at the same time at the moment... I'm introducing you my first vlog / video / whatever you want to call it. Like I already said in the video (I definitely seem to love to repeat myself, lol): I'm still new with this, but I'm working on it! What I forgot to say in the video: I think that it would be nice to film on events, for example, because I sometimes find it hard to capture the right vibe or atmosphere going on at that event just by taking pictures. What do you think?

I've watched the video a billion times and here are some notes to myself:

* My left eye a.k.a. lazy eye is very noticeable on video, so I just wanted to let you know that: yes, I know my left eye is weird;
* I say "ASOS dot com" and "a voucher worth € 100" wayyy to much, sorry for that;
* Maybe (just maybe), I should have given the mint green blouse with the sequined collar some more attention;
* ...

Because I never take myself too seriously, I decided to leave some fails in video -- we all love fails.

Do let me know what you think about it!

P.S.: To subscribe to my YouTube-channel, click on the 'Information'-button at the top right of the video and click on the red button.

Outfit // Skulls & Crosses

Photobucket
First of all, I'd like to thank you for all the supportive comments and anonymous hate mails I received concerning my previous post. No hard feelings, whoever you may be.

This has to be one of my favorite outfits so far, since it reminds me of David in 'The Lost Boys', which has to be one of my favorite movies ever. He's probably one of the reasons why I ordered these asymmetric cross earrings. I have a feeling that this look would've been so much cooler if the the side of my hair still would've been shaved off, but who knows, maybe I'll do it again this summer.

I really don't have that much to tell you today, except that I'll be supporting Italy's football team tonight. Can't wait!

Detail // À La Nicole Richie

Photobucket
I've been in love with these types of head bands ever since I saw Nicole Richie wearing them. My internship ended today, the sun is shining et voilà ... I had the perfect opportunity to dress up a bit. I added a flower printed top and some big, chunky jewelry to add that extra hippie vibe. My mom quickly took a few snaps while I was enjoying the weather outside.

What do you think?
Hit or miss?

New // ASOS Jewelry

Photobucket
I just received my first ASOS package! I've always been paranoia about ordering online, afraid that something will happen to my package or that the items aren't the way I expected them to be. My friend Hille got me an ASOS gift voucher for my 22nd birthday (which was in November last year), so I had no other option this time. I'm glad I did, though!

Wanna see what I got?

P.S.: Thank you, Belmodo.tv, for the mention on your website here.

Personal // Gifted And Wanted

I bet you've all heard about the Jean Paul Gaultier and Coca Cola Light collaboration by now and I must admit that I like this collaboration more that the Karl Lagerfeld one -- Don't worry Mr. Lagerfeld, I still find you a genius in every positive way possible. My first memory of Mr. Gaultier must have been when Madonna wore the famous cone bra / corset - designed by Gaultier, of course - during her Blond Ambition Tour in 1990. I was a tiny one-year-old back then, but the impact of that particular tour (and bra) should not be underestimated. I don't think that there's even one human being walking this surface who doesn't remember that piece of legendary lingerie.

Later on, I got to know Jean Paul Gaultier as one of the 'enfants terribles', shocking the fashion world by using older men, overweight women, over the top tattooed and pierced individuals as his models and as someone who wasn't afraid of playing with traditional gender roles. Aaah, and not to forget his world famous commercials, using amazingly cute (and tattooed, you know I love tattoos) sailor men as the center piece.

Being one of the Coca Cola Light Style Reporters, I had the honor to receive two collector items of the Jean Paul Gaultier for Coca Cola Light collaboration. These babies will definitely get the special place they deserve. Thank you, Coca Cola Light, for this amazing gift and thank you, Mr. Gaultier, for being yourself and for doing what you want in a world that's filled with criticism and narrow mindedness.

Oh yeah, I've also added a major wish list in this post, so just click, click, click below to see what goodies I've bumped into while browsing on the web!

P.S.: Als je in België woont, vergeet dan niet om aan de  Supertrash give away mee te doen!

Help // Asos Gift Card

Photobucket
Hi everyone!

Yes, I am still alive. I've just been super busy with my internship -- One week down, still two to go. Since it is a national holiday tomorrow, I decided to do absolutely nothing for school tonight.

My friend Hille gave me an Asos gift card for my birthday (you can never go wrong with some Asos) and I decided to focus on the tops and shirts. I'm a bit skeptical when it comes to online shopping, because I always think something will go wrong with the delivery or fitting of the items. So I thought that tops would be the safest when it comes to sizes. I have made my top 3 staying in the price range of the gift card, but I need your help, because I can not choose between these three items at all!

Which one do you prefer?
1, 2 or 3?
Please help me!

x Krizia

1. ASOS Maximal Sequin Jumper
2. ASOS Jumper With Neon Hedgehog Design
3. ASOS Jacquard Sleeveless Shell Top

P.S.: Thank you for all the birthday wishes in my last post!
