What to do when it's raining outside and you can't take any outfit pictures? Improvise and start thinking about summer, I guess. Sunglasses are one of my addictions (next to shoes, bags and lipsticks) and an accessory that can pimp even the simplest of outfits. Here are two new sunnies from Polette and Tavat to get me prepared for summer.

The Polette sunnies reminded me of the Dolce & Gabbana ones and I can totally see me wearing them to the festivals I'm planning to attend this summer. The silver frame and shape are just to die for. Polette has the best choice when it comes to more particular sunglasses and for a very fair price as well. I love sunnies that are more 'out there' and immediately catch your eye and that's where Polette comes in. I already wrote about them before here.

Tavat is a brand that I discovered just recently. It's an American company, but their craftsmen are based in Italy -- a fact that immediately caught my attention. Italy is known for their high quality sunglasses, so you know you've got something good when it's Made In Italy. Their sunglasses are said to make your eyes feel less tired, to improve the contrast and natural display of colors and to block out 97 % of the damaging HEV light. My eyes are very sensitive and my eye sight is -10, so protection is very important to me. I can't wait to try them out and to discover the difference myself.

People who know me also know that I don't tend to wear lots of jewelry. I do have a couple of pieces that I grab to from time to time, like my YSL Arty Ring or Hermès bracelet (both gifts from my parents), but other from that you won't see any armparty or other types of jewelry on me any time soon.

For the past couple of weeks, my mom has been giving me a hard time about not wearing any jewelry. According to her, all girls should wear a nice bracelet or a pretty pair of earrings. But I must admit that, when I'm on Tumblr or Pinterest, I definitely can enjoy a nice piece of jewelry. So I decided to get out of my comfort zone and to purchase two pair of earrings to get me started.

Detail // The Snake

If you're following me on Instagram (username: @Krizia_S), you'll probably know that, the day before the collection hit the stores, I received a couple of items of the Anna Dello Russo for H&M-collection.

Among the items was this snake necklace. It's funny how the sweet and generous people at H&M know my style exactly. I'm a big fan of golden, chunky and bold jewelry, so I was totally digging this collection. Unfortunately, I live in this little shit hole and the nearest H&M-store to sell the collection is 1,5 hour drive away. I wasn't sure what to do... Getting up in the middle of the night to drive 1,5 hour and to wait  for the store to open in the pouring rain? This surprise definitely made things a lot easier for me.

Another reason why I loved this necklace in particular, is because I love snakes. It's my Chinese horoscope. I have always wanted a snake as a pet, but my mom never allowed it -- I still haven't forgiven her. My boyfriend is afraid of snakes and sharks (hence the name of this blog, héhé). Plus, they're just amazing, beautiful and mysterious creatures. And it matches my turquoise YSL Arty ring and coral lipstick from Estée Lauder perfectly. Yeah, I pay attention to things like that, probably because I don't have anything better to do. 

I'm leaving you with this detail shot -- It looks as if the snake is going to strangle me, I love it! -- because my photographer is out for the day. A white, transparent blouse, black leather leggings and boots. And this necklace. It spices up the most basic outfit in a heartbeat. I also decided to wear my hair in a bun, so that the necklace gets the attention it deserves.

I've been in love with these types of head bands ever since I saw Nicole Richie wearing them. My internship ended today, the sun is shining et voilà ... I had the perfect opportunity to dress up a bit. I added a flower printed top and some big, chunky jewelry to add that extra hippie vibe. My mom quickly took a few snaps while I was enjoying the weather outside.

Detail // Still Stands

After spending the week in PJ's to prepare my internship - and only making an exception when going to see Titanic 3D - I decided to dress up today. I'm going out to dinner with the boyfriend tonight and I'm so looking forward to it. It feels like the walls start to crawl up on me -- I'm not the type to stay indoors and the fact that I'm forced to because of school right now, doesn't make it any better. ;)

Y'all already know I'm a fan of see through blouses and I since we can't eat meat today, why not show some? I'm so in love with the bra I'm wearing, which is actually a bikini, but I wear them both ways. That's what I love about La Fille d'O lingerie and / or bikinis. You don't really know which is which, since you can mix and match them underneath your clothes and on the beach as well. What do you think? :)

Detail // Think Pink, Part I

I'm sooo ready for spring and summer with these pink blazers. Rumor has it that it's snowing again in Belgium. I haven't seen any snow around here for the moment, but I'm gonna scream if I do, I swear to God! I'm still having the worst cold ever and I'm hoping that it'll be gone by Thursday, since there's an exciting event coming up in Antwerp. More on that later. :)

One of these blazers is new. Can you guess which one? I'm sure some of you will already recognize two of them. Which one's your favorite?

A few detail shots of my outfit for two events I'm going to today: 

Tiany Kirilove for Vero Moda and the 25 Years Kipling Party.

As some of you may have read on Twitter - or are a big fan of Gossip Girl - I decided to base my outfit on my beloved Blair Waldorf. She's my favorite character on the show. I wanted to wear a headband with a big bow to make it 100 % Blair proof, but being the organized person that I am, I can't find it anymore. 

I gotta run now - such a busy day, but I'm loving it - so I leave you with a few shots I took in 2 minutes time. I'll show you pictures of the events, of course. Can't wait to see all of my blogger friends again. It's been too long!

Detail // Bracelets

One of my New Year's Resolutions was to wear my jewelry more often. For some odd reason, I always buy jewelry, but never seem to wear them. I'm a big fan of mix and match, so I decided to wear three of my favorite bracelets together. I just hope that wearing them together won't cause too many scratches, especially on the Hermès bracelet. That one's sacred to me.

Detail // Feather

I got inspired by one of my all time favorite musicians for this detail: Steven Tyler from Aerosmith.

He's well known for wearing feather earrings, feather extensions and God knows what else and I've been kinda digging it for a long time.

I've been on the search for 'the perfect pair of feather earrings' (Djeez, what a description) and after quite a long search, I found these red ones. What I like most of the combo with my long hair is that the feather comes peeking out once in a while and isn't visible all the time. It's funny to see people look at your right ear while they're talking to you and see them think: "What the hell is THAT?" 

Even though I was obliged to buy them in pairs, I only wear one earring. Don't ask me why, I just think it's more fun. I'm still looking for some feather extensions and my mom is trying to talk me out of it, saying I'll "look like a chicken" -- She already knows I won't listen, though. Sorry, mom!

Detail // Marni Wedges

With the news of the Marni for H&M-collaboration flooding the Internet this morning, I suddenly remembered that these Marni-wedges are hidden somewhere in my closet.

I found these wedges in Maastricht at a 70 %-discount, but I must admit that they are quite painful. These are the type of shoes that make your feet feel as if they've been run over by a truck or something, but are way too special / fascinating not to wear. I always get tons of looks and compliments when I'm wearing these and I'm already thinking about when I can wear them again. Lets just pray that it won't snow any time soon!

Detail // Moschino Love

Moschino... Probably the first 'famous' brand I can remember.

Coming from an Italian family, fashion and looking neat and tidy has always been important and, patriotic as Italians are, my sister and I were always dressed in Italian brands such as Benetton and Moschino. When I was 3 years old, my mom bought me a dotted Moschino-dress for a party. Don't ask me how I did it, but I managed to rip the dress after wearing it for about 10 minutes (Sorry mom!).

My dad bought me these Moschino Love-sneakers on a trip to Sicily. I've had a hate / love-relationship with these shoes for years - I've only worn them once - but now that I found them again (hidden in the back of my closet) they're starting to grow on me. I know these sneakers are those type of shoes you either love or hate, so I'm extremely curious to know your thoughts. These are not what I usually wear, but I guess they're okay for a relaxing day doing nothing special.

P.S.: I've added a new section in the left bar of the blog called 'Agenda'. I thought it would be nice to let you know which events I'll attend the coming weeks. And I must admit that it's also a little reminder for myself. There are so many events / projects going on, that I tend to mess up my entire schedule!

Detail // Mix And Match

I wore my Swatch-watch and Hermès-bracelet together today, and thought it looked nice. Whoever said you can't mix 'expensive' and 'less expensive' items / accessories together needs to get his or her ass kicked.

I wore the bracelet as a good luck charm to take my re-sit, even if I don't really believe in good luck charms. But, in one of the most crucial moments of my life, I'm willing to make an exception and try to 'believe'. It's all or nothing now... 

Those re-sits are also the reason why I haven't shown my face on the blog lately. I saw a fellow student of mine again today, and the first thing he said was: "Wow, you look like sh*t!". (Thanks for that, by the way!) But, he's right. All the stress concerning school, studying and pulling some all nighters are beginning to show. I'm having my last re-sit this Friday and I'm going to a spa with my best friend on Saturday. Let's hope they can perform some kind of miracle so I can be yours again ASAP!
