Shark Attack Video // New Items #1

If you can't watch the video, click here.

I both purchased and received some new goodies that I wanted to show you in a new video! Unfortunately, things went a bit wrong here and there, but you'll see what I mean while watching the video, hehe. Forgive me, I'm still a newbie.

Outfit // Transition

Transition10
We used to have some type of Indian summer in Belgium, but it looks like fall is claming territory more and more for the past couple of days. This transition is making me kinda moody, tired, restless and so on; it's always a period that I go through during this time of the year. Anyone else who's experiencing the same thing?

The same transition has been noticeable in my closet: I've - slowly, but surely -  been collecting new items which are suitable for fall and winter. This knitted vest is one of them and I've been living it it for the past two weeks. It's just so warm and cozy, I love it. Fall and winter clothes never used to be my thing; they always made me feel trapped and claustrophobic in a way. But lately, I've been seeing some items that I like here and there so who knows...

On my lips is MAC's Heroine, which I thought was perfect to complete this look. I hope I don't look too goth now -- even though I used to have such a phase in highschool, hehe.

New // Sam Edelman 'Chester' Boots

SamEdelmanChester1
Remember when I went to the Sam Edelman event in Antwerp a while ago? I had the amazing opportunity to meet the designer himself - such a charming fella - and was also told that I could pick a pair from the Fall / Winter 2014 collection afterwards. So, not too long ago, I went to the Gimpex showroom to pick out my favorite pair and then had to wait until they arrived in my size.

I received an email from the ever so sweet ladies at UPR that my shoes finally arrived at their agency and, if you follow me on Instagram, you know that I went to pick them up yesterday. Tadaaa! I decided to go for the Chester boots. Black ankle boots, part leather / part suède, a thick golden chain on the back (a trend I already wrote about here); I absolutely love them. I have slowly been updating my closet, making it fall and winter proof, and these booties are a perfect addition.

What do you think about them?

While visiting my favorite shoe stores and websites, I noticed that a lot of them have one thing in common: a thick, heavy chain on the front or on the back. I thought it would be fun to put some of my favorites in one collage. Last week, I had the chance to pick out a pair of Sam Edelman shoes and I went for the black booties in the middle in the bottom row: suède, leather and a gold chain on the back. I'm totally in love with them and I can't wait for them to arrive!

Happy shopping!

Event // Sam Edelman & Monar Pop-Up Store

DSC08437
After having a look at the stock sale at Jeurrisen (of which you about yesterday), I jetted of to Antwerp to celebrate the opening of the Sam Edelman pop-up store at Monar. Tons of celebrities, press, bloggers and other fans gathered together to give one of America's favorite shoe designers a warm welcome into our teeny, tiny country.

To promote his brand in Europe, Sam Edelman is planning to host an event in a trendy European city every six months. After Amsterdam, Milan and Paris, it was Antwerp's turn last Friday. Shortly after opening my blog, I proudly presented my readers my first pair of Sam Edelman shoes, so I just had to attend this event. See it as some kind of symbolic gesture; you can read the blogpost HERE, but please ignore the awful pictures and writing I published back then.

Outfit // Jacket

Photobucket

The sun was shining today - LOVE - and I immediately took out my embellished
jacket by Pinko. The embellishment is so delicate, but I can't stand to see
this jacket hanging in my closet if I get a chance to wear it.

Any thoughts about it?

I spent the day with my grandfather -- That's him on the last picture. A lot
of people say we look a lot like each other, something I'm really proud of!

With everything happening in Japan right now, I realize once more that I
shouldn't take anything for granted and that I should enjoy  every moment I
spend with my loved ones...

What did you do on this sunny day?

Outfit: 12/02/2011

Hi everyone!

Here's a quick post of yesterdays outfit. The sun was shining,
so my mom and I decided to go out shopping -- Didn't find
anything, though.

I decided to go for the 'chic-meets-rock' look, finally wearing
my favorite leather jacket again.
I'm a big fan of leather jackets combined with dresses.
What about you?

P.S.: As you may notice, I have the habit to twirl my hair when
I'm taking outfit pictures. ;)

Today's Outfit

Sorry for the boring post-title, but I'm having the biggest cold ever and it seems
to have taken away my inspiration. :(

Tonight, I'm going out to dinner -- The perfect opportunity to dress up again
after spending days in my PJ's because I have to study for my exams.

I decided to match this Christopher Kane-shirt to this classic high-wasted skirt, so
that it would have a 'raw' edge.
It's been a long time since I wore this crocodile-printed shirt, and I fall in love
with it all over again every time I take it out of my closet.

I wish you all a great weekend!
I'll have to study again starting tomorrow. :(

Christmas: The Outfit

Finally, it's Christmas.
Even though I sometime think it's overrated, I love spending time with my
family - eating (a lot), laughing, talking, arguing (something you can't miss in
an Italian family), ...

It's also the last time I can relax, since I have exams after the
Christmas holidays, which basically means I have to study when most of my friends
have two weeks off.

This embellished dress / top was a gift from my dad quite some time ago.
Even if some of the embellishment is already gone a little bit, I can't find it in
my heart to throw this item away.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and I hope that all your wishes come true.
I also would like to thank you for following Shark Attack and for writing such
sweet comments.
You have no idea how much they mean to me!

P.S.: I'm planning to buy a decent camera soon, so bye bye bad quality-pictures! ;)

R.I.P Sam Edelman Boots, But ...

I think that I'm cursed when it comes to wearing new shoes.
The first time I wore my Chanel-flats, I almost ruined them by falling down the stairs and taking
everything with me on the way down.
And today, when I wanted to wear my new Sam Edelman-boots I showed you in the previous
post, this happened! When I zipped my left bootie up, the zipper opened from the way down.
The little 'handle' which you zip or unzip with, wouldn't move anymore, which means my foot
was trapped in my bootie.

After almost throwing a vase out of the window and my mom almost ripping my foot off when she
was trying to move the zip down, I decided to go to the store where I bought the boots.
(I bought them at 1927 in Maasmechelen Village!)
They immediately gave me a pair of new boots, without any further questions!
Now that's what I call some good service. I know a lot of stores where the sales women would be
a pain in a case like this.
So thank you to the sweet sales women at 1927 for the amazing service!

I'm not showing my face that much on the pictures, because I wasn't feeling very well, and it
showed a lot, even if I put some make-up on. :D

Sam Edelman Ankle Boots

Here are the Sam Edelman-shoes I talked about yesterday:
black suéde studded ankle boots!

I was torn between these booties and a pair of pumps / sandals, but I chose these ones because I can
wear them more often than the other ones. Maybe I'll buy the other shoes when they're on sale. =)
I love platform shoes, they are much more comfortable to walk in!

What do you think? Hit or miss?
