Trip // Paris

If you don't see any updates on the blog, my Twitter or my Facebook page for the next 3 days, don't panic! I'm going on a 3-day trip to Paris. Yes, I know, it's the third time I'm going there this year. This time I'm going with my friend Hille, so it should be fun. :D

The last time I was in Paris, I bumped into Baptiste Giabiconi a.k.a.  Karl Lagerfeld's muse. I'm secretly hoping I'll see him again, but I'm not really counting on it. ;) So, I leave you with this picture of his handsome self and of me with my bra shining through. I tell you, a printed bra and taking a picture with flash isn't a good combo. I should have known better, shame on me!

Window World by Karl Lagerfeld

I love Karl Lagerfeld's short movies.
When I heard Mr. Lagerfeld had created another one, I thought it would be the 
perfect moment to take a break from studying and see what 'his genius highness' 
had done this time.

The short movie features Magdalena Frackowiak, Barbara Dvorakova and, of course, 
Baptiste Giabiconi.
I love the mysterious atmosphere in the short film, and even more the 'horror movie-music'. 

I read some reactions about this short film, and a lot of people didn't appreciate it, 
saying it was irrelevant.
I, personally, like the short film. It has that something, even if I can't put my finger 
on what that something actually is.

What's your opinion?

P.S.: Seeing Baptiste Giabiconi makes me nostalgic about my trip to Paris a couple of 
months ago. I had the chance to meet him -- You can see the picture of our encounter HERE.

Me With Baptiste Giabiconi.

While I was having dinner at La Gioia in Paris last Friday,
I noticed a couple of boys entering the restaurant.
When I looked more closely,
I realized that it was no one other than Baptiste Giabiconi.

I guess no further explanation is needed when I mention his name,
but for those who don't know:
Baptiste Giabiconi is one of the world's most famous male models.
You may know him from Chanel -- Baptiste appears in every runway show
and almost every campaign.

After joking that I'd hope to bump into him in Paris two posts ago,
well, I guess my 'wish' came true.
At first, I was too scared to ask him for a picture,
but my dad literally dragged me over there and said:
"You'll probably never get a chance like this again."
And he's right, so after that I thought:
'Screw this, I'm going to ask for a picture!'

Baptiste is a very friendly and down-to-earth person, even if I met him briefly.
We took a picture, I wished him a happy birthday, and I returned to my seat.
(Baptiste turned 21 on the 9th of November, which means I'm 4 days older than him. *wink*)

So, here's the picture.
As you can see, a no-black bra + black dress + flash isn't the best combination.
I should've known better, but hey, so what? :D

Chanel Haute Couture Fall 2010

Chanel's haute couture-fashion shows are always something to look forward to, 
wondering what Karl Lagerfeld created this time.

The haute couture-show for Fall 2010 was no exception, and I absolutely loved it!
The decor was amazing - I'm in love with the big lion statue in the middle of the runway.
Coco's zodiac sign was Leo, wasn't it?
I was wondering where Baptiste Giabiconi was, not knowing at first that it was him with the lion mask on.
(Until he put it off, of course! See last picture!)

It's amazing how Mr. Lagerfeld could mix one coloured silhouettes among those with bold prints,
filled with diamonds and pearls (Yeah, Prince's song popped up when I saw the collection).
I totally love the boots, I want the gold ones with the black tip.
I know it's wishful thinking, of course, but a girl can dream, right?

Here's a selection of my favourite silhouettes.
If you're reading my blog for a while, you already may know that I have
a lot of trouble choosing my favourite looks from a fashion show - I always put on TOO many here.
I think I did a good job this time, even though it was still hard for me. :)

P.P.S: I know everyone is already talking about this fashion show, but I've been working a lot lately,
and today is the first time I could get a thorough look at it!

Editorial // Baptiste Giabiconi For L'Officiel Hommes China

I was amazed when I saw Baptiste Giabiconi's editorial in the Chinese L'Officiel Hommes, where he portrays some of my most favourite music icons of all time. Baptiste isn't afraid to take some risks or challenges, which I like so much about him. (Can't deny he's pretty good looking, too.)

I love the Jim Morrison-photo, it's my favourite. I'm a big fan of The Doors and I think Baptiste looks a lot like Jim on that picture. I'm still waiting for my dad to take me to Paris, so that I can visit Jim's grave at Père Lachaise.

The only thing I must admit, is that he scares me as Lady Gaga. :)
