I love myself some eyeliner, especially when I go out. So when I saw the campaign pictures of the new Dior Addict It-Line Eyeliner in pink, I just knew I had to get my hands on one. I acutally got my hands on the last one at the Inno-store in Antwerp, so I'm just going to consider that as a sign.
What does it promise to do?
Fashion eyes: fabulous line vibrant color.
Easy, intuitive and addictive application. Get a bold, even and versatile line in one simple stroke for intense "doe-eyed" effect. Quick-drying. Rinsable: easy to remove with warm water or make up remover.
Of course, I couldn't go on using this eyeliner without writing a review about it. Curious to find out my opinion about it and to see the look I created with it? Just click, click, click below!

I got the Dior Addict It-Line Eyeliner in 879 It-Pink.
Swatches: As you can see, the color isn't a fluo / hot kinda pink. It has a darker tone to it, more like a pink berry-ish color (if that's even a word).
Packaging: The eyeliner comes in a square-shaped, shiny tube with silver letters on it. The top of the tube has a silver ornament with the letters CD engraved into it, giving it an extra luxurious touch and allure. The long part has the eyeliner brush attached to it, while the liquid eyeliner itself is hidden in the short part. As you can see in the pictures, the eyeliner tends to clot around the opening, which could be a negative point for some people.
The eyeliner brush is very thing and sharp / pointy, which is perfect to create a winged - or as they say in the description, a doe-eyed' - make up look. As for the use of it, I kinda had to get used to it because I usually always use eyeliner pens. The fact that the brush is attached to a large, square-shaped tap makes it a little bit difficult to hold -- especially if you're used to round-shaped eyeliner pens as I am. If you're are used to the traditional pen and you're in a hurry, I'd suggest you to stick to your trusty eyeliner, since this one from Dior takes some getting used to using it. You really have to take the time to get it right the first time (or at least I had to, lol).
Here's a close up of the eye look I created with it. I hope you like it! I initially wanted to create a look using the pink eyeliner only, but the people at Dior aren't lying when they say that it's a liquid eyeliner. Because it was super liquid, it was kinda hard to use it all by itself -- well, for me it was. If you're planning on using this eyeliner, keep those cotton sticks around, people! But, since the eyeliner's color is GORGEOUS, I didn't mind all the trouble. So, I decided to throw in a heavy, thick black line and a think pink edge for that extra pop. Love it!
And here's the total look I created! I was kinda hesitant about the popping lips at first (I wanted to go for nude), but I then decided to just put on MAC's 'Flat Out Fabulous' and I think it turned out more than OK. What do you think? I think this look is totally approved for a night out, but it's also perfectly fine to wear during the day, isn't it? I just love the extra detail the pink eyeliner gives to this look.
I'm dying to know what you think about this look, so do let me know in the comment box below. Is this something you would try out yourself? I'm definitely going to look for more colored eyeliners, since I really feel that it could complete a look just that little more.
The Dior Addict It-Line Eyeliner in 879 It-Pink is available in all better beauty stores and costs € 35.
