Beauty // Cocooning With Nivea & Labello

Nivea1
Fall is going on full force in Belgium right now and also winter is coming slowly but surely. Dry and tight skin and hands, busted lips, a running nose... The drastic change of weather is an attack on your skin, which needs to be taken care of appropriately with an adapted routine. I recently discovered some new products that I added to mine.

Nivea released a couple of products to get through winter with a baby soft skin. The area round my nose and my legs always get super dry and are definitely the biggest problem during this time of year. I decided to share some of my new favorites with you, in hopes of making your winter struggles a little bit easier.

INFO & DETAILS:

* The Nourishing Natural Oil Shower Oil (200 ml) sells for € 4,29.
* The Care Cream sells for € 3,49 (100 ml) and 4,49 (200 ml).

Busy bees at the Nivea HQs, since the skincare / beauty brand is launching yet another range of skincare products: the Silk Mousse. You can choose from three alternatives, all containing silk extract as the main ingredients, which is know for its hydrating and smoothing qualities. It provides the skin of essential proteins and creates a protecting barrier against dehydration. And last but not least: silk extract is full of antioxidants and amino acids, which looks after the renewal of the skin cells. The skin absorbs it quickly, giving it a silky smooth feeling.

Beauty // Current Favorite Beauty Products

Favorites
Sorry that I've been kinda MIA lately. I finally found a full time job and I'm still struggling to find the perfect balance between blogging and working full time. If you have any tips, please drop them in the comment box below. Plus, there's something else I wanted to mention... Make up, and beauty products in general, is something that I'm growing into more and more each day and is something I also want to focus on for the blog; next to the usual fashion posts. I hope you all can appreciate it!

In the past couple of weeks, I received tons of new goodies to try out. Not all of them were a match with my skin, so I decided to collect my top 5 favorite products and share them with you. What are your favorite beauty products at this moment?

Beauty // Nivea Essentials Micellar Water

NiveaMiccelarWater2
Micellar water: a skincare product that never tickled my fancy too much, until I read some more info on it. What does it do exactly? Why is everyone so stoked about it? I tried various options and I have to admit that I also stepped into the micellar side. Nivea recently expanded their micellar water skincare range, so I thought it would be fun to write an article about it and to look deeper into the buzz.

But first things first: What is micellar water about? What does it do?

"A micelle is a particle that exists out of oil molecules that are dug into water. It works as a magnet and attracts tallow and impurities. At the same time, it hydrates the skin, keeping it balanced and nourished. Thanks to this technology, make up and imperfections on the skin will be removed in a very effective way. Micellar water cleans and purifies the skin without dehydrating it and makes the skin look fresh."

Review // Nivea Sensitive Skincare

NiveaSensitive4
When I received the Nivea Sensitive Collection in my mailbox, I posted a picture on my Instagram and I immediately received the following comment:

"Ooh, the Sensitive daydreams soooo good! My skin can't support a thing, not even the expensive brands, but this one isn't a problem for my skin at all! <3"

Needless to say: my curiosity was triggered in a heartbeat. My skin has always been one of my weak points - I suffered from bad acne as a teenager - and I have come to the understanding that I will have to live with the imperfections on my skin for the rest of my life. Even though the acne disappeared (Thank you, birth control! Or is this TMI?) I still suffer from other things, such as redness on my cheeks, for example. So the bad skin and the more than positive comment made me more than happy to try out the Nivea Sensitive products.

Before I tell you my personal opinion, let's have a look on what Nivea has to say about the Sensitive collection:

"Almost 60% of our female compatriots declare to have a sensitive skin. Especially for them, Nivea developed the 'Nivea Sensitive Collection' for the sensitive skin: a series of mild nursing products without perfume, parabens and colorants. The power of these series is hidden in the soft ingredients. The products are enriched with licorice extract, that has a anti-irritating, anti-inflammatory and inti-bacterial effect and grapeseed oil, which is a nutritious oil known for its calming function. The result of this ultra effective series? Bye bye redness, dryness and tight feeling!"

These products were sent to me by a PR company / brand.
This does not affect my opinion in any way.

Beauty // Nivea Winter Essentials

Nivea1
I know, I know. It's still fall, but we can never be too prepared for the winter times that will fall upon us (sooner than we think). Blizzards, ice cold wind, snow ... The weather conditions during winter affect our bodies hard time; just think dry hands and busted lips, to name a few.

Nivea knows, so they decided to create a winter survival kit focusing on the skin, lips and hair. One of these kits were delivered at the Shark Attack office (which is actually still my kitchen table / couch, but it just sounds so fancy) and I couldn't be happier. My skin has been a mess as long as I can remember and it's extremely sensitive, so I have to take extra good care of it.

I'm planning on testing these products when winter is doing its thing on full force (obvioiusly), but I thought it would be fun to already show you which products are recommended by Nivea. And who knows, maybe you'll find something interesting to try out yourself. What's your beauty routine during winter? I'd love to hear your tips.

Beauty // Nivea Creme Care Line

NiveCremeCare1
Nivea lovers rejoice! Aren't we all familiar with their world famous round, blue tin? The blue tinned cream has been around since 1925, so I'm guessing we all had it around the house at one point. My earliest memory about it dates back to when I was little and my grandmother was still alive. She used to keep the cream on a shelf on her beauty table and would apply it to the dry spots on her skin or to keep her hands moisturized. Whenever she would hug me - which happened on a daily basis - I would smell that famous Nivea scent and it's still one of my favorites 'till this day. It brings back so many memories.

Now, Nivea knows they have a top product in their possession and decided to take it to the next level: they created a new line called 'Creme Care' - consisting of a Bath Creme, Shower Cream and Cream Handwash - and incorporated that famous cream scent into the products. With ingredients such as Eucerit, Provitamin B5 and Hydra IQ, Nivea focuses on some key elements of the skin: the care, recovery, elasticity, protection and hydratation (to name a few).
