Event // Paul Smith Exhibition @ Modemuseum Hasselt

A couple of days ago, I was invited to the opening of the Paul Smith exhibition at the Modemuseum in Hasselt. 'Modemuseum' simply means 'fashion museum' and the Modemuseum now hosts the exhibition 'Hello my name is Paul Smith'. For the occasion, Paul Smith himself came all the way to Hasselt to celebrate with us. I'm proud to say that the Modemuseum is located in 'my' province, about 20 minutes from where I live.

I was both stunned and excited when I found out that Paul Smith himself would be the guide of our tour through the exhibition. There were only a dozen of us (Flemish and Walloon bloggers), so the atmosphere had a very personal and cozy touch. Mr. Smith is extremely talented, genuine, humble, down to earth and passionate about what he does. He has that typical British charm that I happen to love so much.

Since it's been ages that I uploaded a new video, I thought it would be fun to film bits and pieces of my personal favorite parts of the exhibition. It's not your average exhibition with all of the designer's clothes stalled all over the place, though. 'Hello my name is Paul Smith' gives you a brilliant look into Paul Smith's career in the most innovative way possible. Just have a look at the video and you'll know what I mean. This video was shot with my iPhone, which reminds me that I really need to get a nice camera for when I want to film. #notetoself
