I've been loving history as long as I can remember; it was my favorite class in high school and I finished my bachelor in history and English. Ancient Egypt has always caught my curiousity and triggered me to read and learn about it. We know so much, yet so little about it.

I remember that in high school, my class had to pick an historic figure and give a speech about it. My choice was Tutankhamun, or also known as King Tut. This young pharaoh ruled during the 18th dynasty and even though he didn't accomplish anything admirable during his reign, we all know him. Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley Of The Kings on 4 November 1922; one day before my birthday. Coincidence? I think not. Sorry, I can be very obsessive when it comes to Ancient Egypt. Anyway, he did not only discover King Tut's mummified body, but also a huge treasure that was scattered all over the tomb. The most valuable and well known item that was found that day, is Tut's solid gold burial mask. It was always a dream of mine to discover a pharaoh's tomb that has been left untouched - since most of them have been raided by thieves - but I think it's safe to say that it ain't gonna happen any time soon (or ever, for that matter). I could go on about this topic for days, but at least now you know why I'm such a huge history lover.

Anyway, back to my high school days. I gave my speech about Tutankhamun and got an A+. The teacher even forgave me for talking about Howard Hughes instead of Howard Carter. I had seen the movie 'The Aviator' just the day before - they were playing it on TV - and he had seen it too, so he understood the mix up and was quite amused about it.

When Fusion Clothing gave me the opportunity to choose one of their sweaters, I immediately clicked the King Tut sweater home. I just L-O-V-E it. I love how bold and eye catching the sweater is. You really don't need more to pimp out your outfit to the max. Even though we are experiencing tropical temperatures here in Belgium the last couple of days, I still found a way to make the sweater work: tank top, denim short and my beloved sweater tied around my waist.

What do you think?
